Hi i have a serious with camera focus, i have jb with stock rom and, very often, my cam won't try to focus (in every light condition). When i take a picture, the display is blurred, i see it especially when i try to focus on a document. I think it's an hardware problem.

Very often, it's like the camera forget to focus. Sometimes after an hour this effect goes away but is very annoying, i can't use it at all.
Try to repair it with PC companion or flash with a stock JB (Or ICS if you want).
In theory this fix your problem.

Nah, just joking.
The only thing that comes to my mind is reinstall the rom, repair with PcCompanion or trying to flash camera.

Any special way to install or can i install right over the top of .4.1?
It's not actually CM, but I installed over an older build and it worked. I did have to install Gapps.. I used the official ones, not joker's.

Do you know what works and what doesn't?

Gotta try this.

Its based off jokers .4 build so anything that is broken in there will be broke in this one. But data, wifi, GPS, camera all work.
Also you have to reboot for some of the customizations to take effect
Camera is a bit laggy for me, still so after clearing data, wiping dalvik and fixing permissions. I think this was seen in .40 for Joker as well.
i am currently stuck on the Motorola Sign, for about 5mins now, is anyone else having that issue?
Yeah I don't think they have fully figured out the camera yet

Try pulling battery and trying again.. that happened to me once when I tried to boot into recovery after installing. Battery pull fixed it. How did you install and coming from what?

Beta 0.2.0 2D camera worked best for me. Maybe the latest build .4.1 is better than .4.0.
Still cant take pics in portrait mode. Can anyone tell me how to replace the files to get the camera to work?
That fixed my issue.. thanks alot... update you on how it runs after i push it to its limit

My phone is really sluggish and slow. Ifi click the menu button for example the round spinning loading logo comes up for a few seconds.:crying:
Any tips.
Thats not right at all. There is something fundamentally wrong.
I would download mybackup pro trial aand take a backup of your data that you absolutely cannot lose and then do a factory reset because this should not be happening.
overclock!!! :fingers-crossed:

Not a good solution to this problem. He shouldn't have to overclock to get the performance that should be available without any modifications.

+1 removing not used apps and widgets makes a great difference in performance and battery life.
No matter what, the phone shouldn't act like this. Something is heavily draining ram(not using, draining) probable a rogue app.
factory reset and if the problem persist take it back to the store

One solution lies in rooting your device and installing a good rom on it.

A launcher issue based on your description? Nova launcher is good. You coukd give it a try. If not, factory reset is a good idea.
How is your setting in developer option, animationscale set on 1x?
Hello All,
Of late, I have found my camera pics to be very blurry ... even when I am using camera app to view (as viewfinder) the image is very blurry and the whites are over-exposed.
I already tried resetting to default settings, replacing camera app in system/app. Issue is still persisting.
Do you guys think a camera firmware update/ change would sort it out. If yes, where can I get it for my Samsung GT-I9100
Any other solutions ?
I suspect the issue is happening after I flashed a custom, which I cant remember the name now ... ( yes, I have been living with the bad camera for some months now ... )
This is very annoying ...
any help please.

Doesn't matter if its on macro mode or not ... pictures are blurry and out of focus.
I can see that the plastic cover in front if the lens is scratched and dirty.
Seems a design error.
I need to remove that now. Any help please. Been try with a pin but I dont know the contact points

I think its just one piece...(the whole back panel) but here's the video guide I use when I take apart my phone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65pvAINg2ME... hope it helps :good:
I've been using the nightly CM10.1 builds for a while now and it has always worked but lately when I tried to call someone I didn't hear the ringing before the call goes through and I can't hear them talking either but the speaker plays music and videos fine and I want to know how to fix this so I can call people normally again.
I have tried megawiping and reflashing, also going back to stock and starting again and other various methods like trying without gapps but I can't seem to get it to work and I really need it to cause its the only phone I can currently use but I found it was weird because this only occurs to my phone when running CM10.1 but calling works normally on stock and CM9.

I tried that as well and if you mean the thread on xda then I have posted my problem in the discussion thread and I was planning on asking on the CM forums about this problem.
I have same problem, I tried everything, flash ROM , radio, modem, full wipe, everything I could possibly thing of, but the Fu.cking problem is, the front speaker works fine with Viber, but absolutely no sound during the phone call!
And at end I sent it to warranty... hope it would work out

I think it's more of a CM / 4.2.x Version issue rather than a service centre issue - Read a few issues and some say this solves the problem, some say it doesn't give it a try
Ok, i might found a solution:
Turning on the lockscreen sound in the sound setting and then reboot. I´ll try it and then tell my experience with this solution.

really strange it is.
as Viber works , so i consider it not as a hardware problem but call just doesn't have any sound !!! nor otherside can hear me ...
maybe replace motherboard will fix it ...
cannot hear when calling
Anyone have the solution yet?
it just happened to me to with AOKP (the last version - JB-MR1 Milestone 1)
Everything works fine, in a middle of a call the phone restarted and now there is no sound
Edit:
After a few full wipes and refreshing all is working good now.
Possible solution
