My 3vo will arrive tomorrow and I'm really excited I would like to know what you all think is the best ROM to use right now (FAST, stable, few bugs). ICS is preferred but definitely not mandatory. 4G doesn't apply to me because the phone will be flashed to Cricket. 3D is a plus but also isn't mandatory

I would highly recommend MeanROM ICS. It's based on a leak but everything works including 4G, has been very stable, and fast. If that's not for you, his gingerbread MeanROM is the fastest you'll come across.
this isnt really the most stable or anything as the rom is only a release candidate but if you want to truly be amazed by ur evo 3d id go with newts sense 4 rom.....but if you want ICS sense 3.6 with stability and stock and such id go either mean rom or viper rom

Mean Rom ICS!
Hi guys,
I searched on Google and here i found only 2 ROMs without Sense but they had a lot of bugs,so i was wondering if you know any good ICS ROMs without any skin over it (without Sense UI) i'd really appreciate it, and yeah if there is a theme that can give me the same stock look would be even better (not launcher,a flashable Zip theme) i'm on mwakious3D ICS ROM.

Well if you have the CDMA there is an awesome senseless version of mean ROM and it runs flawlessly also very well maintained, I've been hooked on this one since its release date. Hope it helps

It's called SOS. Look for it in the CDMA development forum.
I think there is also a senseless version of clean Rom and of d3rp, so you may want to try those.

The ROM is great its exactly what I want but the WiFi isn't working,is there another ROM or a file to flash to make the WiFi work

If so, let's do it here! Anyone tried this ROM yet? I remember for the OG EVO, he made one of the best ROMs there was. I'm assuming based on the time this took to drop that it will also be very impressive. I honestly haven't flashed it yet, but I'm curious how it is so far. Thoughts?

Looks like at this point it's just an optimized base and he doesn't want to do a ton to it because of the possibility of a new OTA soon.
Exactly what are people expecting on a sense rom that isnt already done?
I know for a fact that when it does drop with the new base it's gonna put every other sense Rom to shame

Ehh.. I'm not saying it won't be a kickass rom, but I doubt that. There isn't much difference in performance in any sense rom. Some have awesome tweaks, some are smooth.. Some might give slightly better battery.
In the end, regardless of the sweeping statements people claim.. Sense isn't gonna get but SO smooth and battery isn't gonna get but SO good. I love Miks roms, just wish people wouldn't overdo it.

You know what I wanna see. Back with my Verizon GNexus, we had real time weather updates in the statusbar. It was built into AOKP. Frikken loved it. Not sure really how it works, but it worked perfectly.

leedroid tweaks are what's built into viper - amaikam has some similar tweaks (ran his roms on the OG - guy's a monster - can't wait to try out his full rom when its done), but if you're looking for the original leedroid, that would be viper.
I thought they were Leedroid. I will try to learn how to do my own roms etc when I get a pc. I've been dying to make a rom called Kao Rom with help from all the beast developers like Virus, Leedroid, Toast (maybe), Mikeyxda etc. Then I'll be a great developer too, & give back to the community.

leedroid tweaks were developed by j4n87, who developed them into that pokemon rom (whose name I forget), who then worked with viperboy and vin on incorporating those tweaks into into the viper4g rom for the lte (and the other team venom roms).
Good luck with your rom - but if you really want to give back to the community, you don't need to be a developer, or even have a team (Team Transcendent, I guess? lol). Just be respectful, help people out, and try to leave xda a better and more helpful place for people to learn.
I loaded it today.
Been running MeanROM 2.6.
It has a setting in the settings to choose how you want your soft buttons mapped which is pretty cool.
It has Google Now built in like MeanROM.
And it has Sprint HotSpot enabled that actually worked for a while (I wanted a Bluetooth Tether) and could not get anything to work at all but it worked on this ROM (for a while).
I went back to MeanROM 2.6 for now because the built in Google Now has the same issues as MeanROM 2.7 and up (which has Google Now) in that it completely breaks Voice Dialing over bluetooth.
It has all the Rosie Mods too.
It's definitely more than a "base".

Aosp : 3d Anorexia and Sense: Cool Sense in my opinion of course
I just went from Mean ROM to MIUI and like it a lot. Takes a little getting used to but it's very clean and stable (so far)

Yes sir, i had tried v3.6. But now i'm back to v3.5. I think v3.5 has better battery life. What about you sir ?

I do agree with you. 3.5 does have a better battery life but not by much. But I will take a little better than not at all. All in all, this rom is probably one of the best sense roms out there.

If you're s-off, you should give sense 4.1 a go, with that i mean viper3D.
I'm GSM myself but it is a rom for both GSM and CDMA.

Everything except 3d camera i believe (and he's working on 3d camera, already have a 3d boot animation). read the thread to be sure, since i don´t use wifi tether.

Try common sense v1.7. That's the best bugless, fully functional and fast Rom for sense 3.6 and yes wifi tether does work on this rom

Honestly, I do not know if anybody will ever get 4g working on a sense4.0/4.1 rom. Htc hasn't and probably won't release the source code for working 4g unless they upgrade our evo's to sense 4.1. I don't mean to sound like a wet blanket but that's what it seems like right now. We can still hope though.

Yeah, as far as I know, there are no wimax phones with sense 4 or higher. They're all lte. So no one can port drivers either. But, it may happen since the devs we have are talented.

Just out of curiosity, are you looking to change from MeanROM ICS? Some of the ROM's that have been mentioned have more mods and features integrated, but I think Mike (mikeyxda) tends to focus more on fixing problems with the stock ROM than mods and themes, since those can always be added based on user taste.
SOS M uses MeanROM ICS as a base, so if you want a clean base with more mods integrated, a de-Sensed ROM or a different loook you might want to try that.

I had just asked to get an idea. Right now I have MeanROM with mods (basically all the ones you suggested in the development thread), so idk how much switching to something like CoolICS would add. I am thinking of changing to the "forbidden" kernel, although it seems a bit complicated

I took the Sense 5 LockScreen from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184792 and tested it on multiple 3.16 deodexed roms and verified that it works, this is a flashable zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bknivbxbd0xya1/Sense_5_Lockscreen.zip
All you have to do to flash is wipe dalvik/cache and flash in recovery, reboot
This does also include the modified call screen from Sense 5
Please make a nandroid prior to flashing just to be on the safe side......

No one cares? Are you serious? Ourboros, blackcm, revolt, sharkie, wild for the night, xylon, dirty unicorns, sinister, xenon, evervolv, nin's sense 5 (not the one on xda), avatar, and cm have all been updated in the last couple weeks, we just got a 3.4 kernel for aosp roms and our sense 5 update is hopefully around the corner which will have a bunch more people jump on it. Foh.
