I have the galaxy s2 Gt-i9100 that my brother rooted and unlocked.
I was booting it up with the liquid smooth Rom and it went in a boot loop. However I was able to boot into the liquid smooth ROM fine before.
I went in to recovery mode and tried to factory reset it and this is what it said
CMW-based Recovery v6.0.3.2
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery /last_log

Formatting /data ...
Then it restarts and boot loops
The second thing I tried was using Odin I used v3.0 and 1.83. All the youtube videos where what I was looking for but when I tried it would just sit their for at least 15 to 25 minutes. I will give you what Odin put out
the md5 file that i am using is I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEULP5_Home.tar.md5

Any suggestions on what to do? I have searched for s2 recovery and have attempted to use hemidal (<- spelling?) And it failed to find the correct drivers. I understand its my fault for taking the risk and breaking it but suggestions and links would be helpful. Should I try different drivers? Different .tar files.? I am really surprised that Odin didn't work. Also I understand the error that CWM recovery gave me in general but I don't understand it well if any one could explain it I would love to know.
'Odin doesn't work' gets covered here lots of times each week. There are a set of troubleshooting steps you need to do. Search for similar threads, or look for Hopper8's thread about this subject - very detailed (search his posts specifically & you should find it easily).
Is this the error your getting.

Is their anything specific that you wanted me to try to mount
If everythings mounted as it should be,and you cant do any wipes etc,all I can say is remove the sdcard and see if it boots.

where should i get the downloads for odin ... if that is Odin.
Google or XDA search.
google or xda search what? oh and nothing can mount does anybody know why
Didn't you ask where you could download Odin ? (If that's not what you meant, you need to be a lot less vague/more specific), if you did - do a Google search - easily found.
If you're talking about stock roms to flash with Odin, go to Samfirmware.
If you cant flash,or do anything in cwm then youve got to get pc odin to work somehow.

Download one firmware packed by him and try with that.
Okay so was needing to flash the stock rom back onto my Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i as CWM could not mount /data, /system, /cache or usb and therefore I couldn't install any roms. I have managed to get my phone into download mode, I plugged it into my PC (I believe I have the latest drivers - no kies) but that brought up the device not recognised error on my PC. I decided to ignore this and carry on. I load up Odin3 v3.07 and put the stock md5 into the pda section. This is the output I get:
Code:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> PDA_S5830i_XXLI1.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
I then proceed to press the start button and nothing changes other than I recieve this message:
Code:
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
I try again and get the same again. Tried rebooting into download mode again and it's still the same.
What can I do? What could be causing this?
Thanks in advance, Kyle.

THis is the error I'm getting in Odin. I've tried twrp but it went straight to <OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
Sure I'm doing something wrong...help please! Not even sure I've downloaded the right AP
Download SkipSoft Toolkit, go through the versions to select which model phone you have, which version of android you're running etc. and then install all the drivers it offers. Then follow everything it says on how to flash and install custom recovery and you should be set.
