Looking to maximize battery life on Hyperdrive rs2 for the verizon S4. Which kernal is recommended/better suited for that?
Best rom/kernel threads ate against the rulesfor good reason. There is no such thing as an across the board best. Try the available kernels and see which one gives you, and your unique phone, operating under your unique set of circumstances, the best battery life.

Thread closed as "Best" kernel for one user is not necessarily the "Best" for another.
Users are encouraged to read and determine what is best for them by reading the knowledge shared via posting.
These threads always spiral into arguments about one rom or kernel over another, and thus, trolling ensues.
Please do not post "Best Rom/Kernel" threads. Thank you

I'm just wandering what is the best Rom out there for the s3?
Now I've tried a couple of Roms myself but always end up back to stock!
It has better battery life and no lag,
What's people's opinions, will it be best till we are all running stock jelly bean to get the best roms or is here and now the best time to wack a Rom on your beloved s3?

Yes, I would like two hamburgers, large fries and large chocolate milkshake.
Oh wait, this isn't McDonald's.

These best rom threads are getting out of hand...
Why is it a rule? Well, it's a rule because there is no such thing as a "Best Rom" in general. What's the best rom for me might be the worst for you.. It's subjective.
It's like asking who's the hottest girl in the world, or which sports car is the nicest.. It all depends on the person being asked and if you ask in a forum you will be a different answer from everyone.
The only way to find out the best rom for YOU is to try them all until you find the one that's "best" for you and your needs..

When looking to upgrade or switch ROMs, what are the key attributes you're looking for?
Some people prioritise cutting-edge functionality over lag/stability, some are looking for as close to stock as possible, and some want a completely unique user experience.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of stock AOSP but so many of the mods posted on here are irresistable I don't think I could live without them. In that sense, I'm happy to compromise a little speed for clever functionality.
My absolute musts are customisable lock screen targets, a notification bar flashlight, minimal bloatware (and my definition of bloatware is pretty all-inclusive), solid battery life and good support/frequent upgrades.
Note that this is sort of a reworded version of Samsungnooby's "perfect rom" thread, because I really don't think he meant to ask the dreaded "best rom" question... more trying to stimulate discussion on what features really ring people's bells and what we can live without.
Any takers?

the fact that you knew threads like this are prohibited and you still post this thread is pretty disrespectful of you. You're probably lucky enough to not get banned outright especially considering you knowingly posted a reworded thread that was earlier locked for breaking the rules.
I'm no moderator (no sh1t), but as a member that's been here for a while, it's pretty aggravating to see people like you ignoring basic rules like this...

ok. apologies. i felt the topic could be discussed in a way that didn't breach the rules. i figured a discussion of differing feature priorities was significantly far from "what rom should i download." but hey, point taken.
Hy Everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread like sammy based rom/kernel kombo tests to let know for AOKP/AOSP lovers which choose is the most popular or succesful.
1.:which rom
2.:which kernel
3.:BBS stats screenshot
4.:Screen on time screenshot
(5.:your battery mAh)
I hope you guys over there are glad for this thread!
Cheers!
Hm, I'm sorry to say this, because your intentions seem to be good, but this is like a 'best rom'-thread.
If people answer your questions, their opinions are still subjective, and they depend on personal preferences and usage/tweaks/apps etc.
If you read some of the Samsung based rom-threads, you can choose for yourself, and it's the same for kernels.
ROM/Kernel results are completely subjective and vary widely depending on the individual user. "Best ROM" threads never turn out good, therefore aren't allowed. Thread closed.

What's the best rom to put on the Note 2 to get the best battery life?
@Naddict @kennyglass123 Let me handle this one.
Users are expected to read and do their own research, "Best Rom" threads create a lot of unnecessary banter in a development website. NO best ROM threads.
"best" is in the eye of the beholder.
^^ this ^^
For these reasons, these type of posts get closed. Thanks for your understanding.
So i swapped my rezound for the Maxx specifically for the battery life and now im looking to get the most out of it. I know when people post this they get answers like "well its s a personal preference" but i also know from my experience that there is always a "best overall rom" and i want to avoid flashing all of them to fond out. what rom would you recommend focused on STABILITY, SUPPORT, BATTERY LIFE
Best ROM threads are prohibited.
Please read the rules before posting.

There is no "best" ROM/Kernel. Head over to the development section and see which ROM/Kernel "best" suits your needs.
