T-Mobile WiFi Calling - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

Does anyone know if it's possible to rip this out of the stock firmware, so that it can be used with custom ROMs?
I want to use a custom ROM, but I can't because I need WiFi calling at home (crappy reception).
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium

Trickdroid has wifi calling. I'm using 5.6.0 and it works great. It's 4.1.2. We have to wait for t mobile to release code for a 4.2.2 rom to get it working on the latest version.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Its baked deep in the ROM so only T-Mobile custom ROMs would be able to run it.

Flash THIS on any 4.1.2 based Sense ROM. DO NOT FLASH ON 4.2.2!!!!!

I have the Maximus 7 rom and it runs wifi calling pretty well. I think any 4.1.2 Rom will run wifi calling just fine

No, this is a flashable package that will install WiFi calling on any 4.1.2 Sense based ROM, such as Developer's edition 1.29 etc....

I don't get it. That file is over 900MB how is it adding wifi calling to the developer edition? It seems like a new rom. I would like to add wifi calling to the developer edition. Anyone know how I can get this done?

That is not what I originally posted. I have no idea how that happened. Let me look on my computer for it and repost it.

I speak to my wife using, Vonage free app, magic jack, also viber, and nettalk,
all through wifi apps, I have all the internation stuff blocked not to get billed, whenever she goes to anyone's house with wifi it works.
try it out, they work.. internationally, so they will work here also.

[Q] Camera Update

The international HTC one got the camera update which is a night and day comparison, my question has anyone gotten an OTA on tmobile, can you flash an international OTA on a Tmo rom?
I was also wondering how this update will be delivered to tmobile and other carriers. Does an update like this have to go through carrier testing or can it be delivered directly from HTC?

Which roms have you tried this on?
Since Wifi calling is built into roms bow that the pretty much impossible. You can try tmobile super old Wifi calling app. That might work.

It has been said that until we get specific roms for our tmobile one's there's no way of flashing an international Rom and still having WiFi... So you have to ask yourself what do you prefer better camera quality or wifi calling...
Me personally I can live with the camera for now.

According to the latest android central podcast... The HTC one in the US was released with the camera update, so there won't be any new update.
Yeah, they got OTA'd to what ours (all US) shipped with. The camera is already fixed.

We are talking only about the camera fix.. the us versions came with that. Obviously the international update has additional bug fixes along with the camera update. Not sure our useless carriers will push that fast.
There are 2 fixes.
Originally it was 1.26.
The first fix improved camera quality greatly- 1.27. This is the one t-mobile is on.
The second round of fixes (1.28 and 1.29) also improved camera quality (although less so) and the capacitive buttons. Very slight battery increase as well.

Wait!! WiFi calling is in this ROM!? Where? I mean, I don't really need it, but it would be nice to have in those moments. I was using TrickDroid and WiFi calling was there, but I don't remember where I found it, and it was on by default.
I'm back with Revolution because TrickDroid always had a 4G symbol even though I wasn't on 4G.
But where's the WiFi calling? I can't seem to find it. Or is it an app I have to download as well?
EDIT: Sorry, I have Renovate, not Revolution. LoL!! =.P
But my Call Forwarding option is not grayed out in this ROM. So I forward my missed calls to my Google Voice thus Google Voice mail works. LoL!! Is the Call Forwarding option grayed out in this ROM?

Yea. I used TrickDroid before. I had WiFi calling on that. I went back to Renovate. I was wondering why I didn't have WiFi calling, but I was comparing Renovate to Revolution. (The people here were linking to Revolution).

wifi calling on developer edition

I have flashed the developer edition ruu to skip the T-Mobile tethering restrictions. Is there a way I can add wifi calling and still receive OTA updates or can wifi calling be added? I would use the T-Mobile rom if there was an easy way to get tethering working.

There is no way to add it to 4.2.2 roms until a tmobile 4.2.2 rom is released. The only reason the international 4.1.2 roms had it was because they were able to extract the necessary parts of the rom and apply it to theirs, but those don't work on 4.2.2.

The developer edition does not have 4.2.2 I have 4.1.2. Is there a flashable zip to add it to the developer edition or does it only work with the international rom? Search isn't working for this because the keywords are too short and common.

You cannot just "install an .apk or .zip" it just doesn't work on AOSP.
So many features of this phone rely on Sense I can't understand why anyone buys the Play edition. I love AOSP as much as anyone, but it seriously hampers the experience of the One.
Yes, ROMZ and such, but pure stock is good by me.

Ok. That's something I know and didn't ask about. I thought you were referring to the developer edition. Great thing about this phone is that it can be converted to any of the models. The s4 is unable to do this.

I haven't seen a flashable zip so Idk about it, but I like to use trickdroid 5.4, it is an international rom that has the option to flash tmobile WiFi calling. There is no T-Mobile wifi calling options for any Rom 4.2 and above, due to T-Mobile not releasing an official 4.2 update. I hope 4.3 come sooner rather than later, then it can be ported to all custom roms.

[ROM][UVLG3] Skeleton Key - Unlock your Unlocked Note - v1.0 [8/31/13]

Skeleton Key
What is it and why UVLG3 base?
If you aren't on T-Mobile, just stop reading and hit your back button.
I recently switched from AT&T to T-mobile, and in doing so, had to play the "Which modem works" game. During that time, I realized there's a nice sized community of users on this forum that use tmo for their carrier. Since all our AT&T bases don't support Wifi Calling, and that's one of the neato features of T-Mobile, and since there doesn't appear to be any active Tmo ROMs these days, I figured I would update the UVLG3 base with a lot of the features and toys in my Jellybean Sandwich ROM. No WP7 task switcher, though. You people hate that.
Features
UVLG3 Base
Wifi Calling
Flapp's 3.0.2 kernel
Custom Animations (Check JBS thread)
Mikeyxda's Google Now port for ICS
ES File Explorer
Flash Player
Adblocked Host file + AdAway 2.3
Android 4.3 Fonts
Android 4.3 Sounds
Latest Market
Latest Youtube
Latest Google Maps
Greenify
GPS Tweaks
CRT Off Animations[Xposed]
Custom Carrier[Xposed]
Center/Colored/Whatevered Clock [Xposed]
Installation
Wipe Cache & Davlik & Data (No data if you're upgrading)
Download and flash ROM
If you need a T-Mobile Modem, Download the UVLG3 modem
Install Google Keyboard from market if you like the 4.2/3 Keyboard
Install whatever camera app you prefer rather than stock
Install the launcher you fancy

+Flapp's kernel

None, I reckon. Maybe though. Who knows.

Any other Z2s on Tmobile?

Hey guys. So I'm new to the z2. I bought an unlocked D6503 off of eBay and it works great on with T-Mobile Sim, gets LTE no problems. I've been using it fine on T-Mobile on stock .314 and various stock based Roms, but I just read that T-Mobile might use a separate kernel. Could this be why I can't get reliable data on any non stock ROM?
Is anyone running any non-stock based ROM such as CM, AOKP, or PA on T-Mobile's network?

Yeah , U.S. Just tried CM11 and same darned thing. Says LTE but no data coming through, restart and data works. Then I use WiFi for a few mins and turn it off.... Right back to LTE symbol and no data coming through. This the most annoying problem ever. I feel like it has to be some kind of access point name or baseband issue.

I think for whatever reason, it won't connect to IP4 on Tmobile. The one that's set normally doesn't ever work unless I change the protocols to IPV6, or select the "Tmobile IPV6" APN. That has to be the issue causing data to not be able to hand-off from wifi when wifi is switched off, but question is why?
Used a Z2 on T-mobile for months without problems.

Thanks. Must be something on my end I guess. Did you happen to have flashed anything not stock or stock based on it while on Tmobile? Did it have any issues then? Mine works 100% normally on stock or stock based but has issues with the data described above on any AOSP, CM, PA whatever ROM. That's why I'm convinced it pretty can't be a hardware issue, or it would be screwing up on stock too. In theory...
