[Q] unroot evo lte - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

sorry I've looked and there is no thread the covers my situation\ problem and they are all from a year ago.i need to unroot my evo lte asap. I'm receiving a new one through insurance so i need to send it back without it looking like I've messed with it. it still says tempered, s-on, and the boot animation has red letters on it. please help. but there is just one thing. My USB port is damaged so i cant do this through the PC. the unroot has to be done from my phone alone. Please help !! Running what i believe is stock. my software version is 3.16.615 710rd but i think i still have the meanbean overclocked kernel although im on stock android 4.1.1 with sense 4+.

If you're returning it to Asurion there is no need to unroot, just return it as-is.

Yes, they don't care whether or not it's rooted.

Need to send my Rezound back for warranty with leak but no root or unlocked.

I have to send my Rezound for warranty and I updated to the leak does anyone know how to get back to 2.3 without root and do you think it'll be a problem with Verizon. And I would like to thank you in advance for your help.

i would think u would be fine sending it in with the leak... i dont think they would know the difference. I also don't think you can go back.

I sent mine back with the leak flashed on it about a week ago because my headphone jack got jacked up, they had no problem with it so it probably just flew under the radar you'll be fine for sure!

You won't know for a couple months if they had "no problem with it"

there's no way to return to stock non-rooted gb, so the best bet would be stock rooted gb or stock non-rooted ics leak.

I sent back 2 phones with leaked RUU and the "relocked" message with no problems. I can't say nothing will happen to you, but I seriously doubt they will charge you

Possibly Bricked Rezound

Well I bought this HTC Rezound on craigslist, the guy i bought it from said it was rooted and blah blah. To begin with I didnt want the phone rooted, because to be honest I have no use for it or know what it really is used for, I have never rooted a phone or attempted. Well anyways, just today I restarted the phone because it was acting real slow, so i restarted it and when it powered back on it got stuck on the 4g screen. I left it like that for like 10 min and nothing. Please if anyone can help me on trying to fix this, it would gladly be appreciated. I dont want it rooted anymore just normal. If you can help please make this an easy experience, I dont ever plan on ever rooting or dealing with this stuff..thanks!!
Download the gb ruu from the sticky in the dev thread and run it. You'll be back to stock like it came out of the box http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19189145

Or this one, its newer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25664508
But he's right your going to have to flash the RUU to fix it. Also rooting is not a bad thing, it's actually a good thing. It allows you to load custom ROMs on your phone so you don't have to live with the standard Verizon / HTC crap. Like mine for example, I am running Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, with Sense 4.0.
I couldn't find that thread so I directed him to football's original one. Thanks for the other link

Not a problem, just trying to help out. I know all to well the feeling of a bricked phone....
I had this issue, sounds like dude didn't flash the right boot image to the rom.
Yes, start from the latest ruu and go from there.

Need to get my phone repaired from sprint, how do I go back to normal?

I have root running the solidrom 4.1 version but I need to take my phone to sprint as the bottom section of my screen doesnt work. How can I get the phone back to normal so that my warranty covers it? I believe it is not covered if it is modified? I pay for the extra warranty they have also.
Do I need to install the stock rom and then turn s-on? If so where do I get the stock rom?
wrong section goto question and answers and or general

If you flash a ruu it will put a stock ROM and recovery on your phone, the only thing is you will have to gain s-on which you should do a search to find what to do.Now guys was that sooooo hard

Youre taking it to the sprint store full of high school grads and GEDs. Just talk to the guys about sports or drugs or hunting and they'll help you out.

Zarbox I am unable to pm you due to not having enough posts to do so..I am in need of some help...
I Have an HTC EVO 4G LTE. I bricked it doing a firmware update to 3.17.651.4. It flashed half the update and shut off never to power on again. It was my fault I'm sure and is not hardware related. I have been told by other members that you have a riff kit and may be able to fix it.If it can be fixed just let me know what it will take to get it done .I am flashed to verizon as well and can't get a replacement and it's my only working phone.
Please if you can fix just let me know what you need me to do...Thanks
If all else fails, there is also this: http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/htc-droid-dna-dlx-jtag-brick-repair/
They were awesome with jtagging a bunch of our phones prior to moonshine S-off. They'll get your phone right again, and they are fast too.

Return To Stock

I've seen some very good threads on rooting the HTC One. I have rooted mine, but due to some of the issues I am having with cell reception, I'd like to go back to stock. Does anyone know how to return to stock, or is there a thread that I have yet to find?
I am looking for the exact same thing.
If I find it, then I will post it here for sure. I am having a hard time finding it right now
I can help let me know what ya need

I'd like to return to stock. I rooted and flashed the Google Edition ROM, but my cell service was bouncing between HSPA+ and 3G constantly. So I tried re-flashing the ROM a few more times. All with the same results.
At this point, I just want to go back to stock so that I can reliably make phone calls and using my data.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found it! Tested LTE, WIFI calling, and the IR seem to work!

Props to team nocternal
However I do want to mention that I had to boot into recovery and master reset from the htc loader screen and my custom recovery screen before it would load properly

Pretty sure that's normal operation. Before there were more T-Mobile specific ROMs, you'd see the 3G icon when the network was idle, but when data started to transfer, it switched to the H+ icon. The same thing is happening on whatever ROM you're using, but you're just not seeing the icons flip back and forth.
Thanks. I'll get this flashed ASAP.
