Hello
I wanted to get a higher capacity battery on my LWW. So, I did a small research, found this model, EP500, on sony website:
sony.co.in/product/ep-500
It says its capacity is 1500mAh. Ok.
So I removed my back cover, and noticed my original battery was also an EP500, but marked as 1200mAh.
Is there any reason for the difference on capacity?
ps: although this is a question, I thought it would be better placed on accessories forum
Those batteries dont have big difference in mAh so the size remains just the same i think
Is there any reason for the difference on capacity?

Yes, it's plain old simple commercialism on Sony's behalf, it makes Sony more money for them to not supply higher capacity battery's with our phones, as if you want a better power supply you have to give them more money.
OT, but I have two BA700 batteries for my ST18i (Ray) and first has label "min. 1460mA" and second one "min 1500mA"

I am quite sure that this is fake.
You can't have 1200mAh and 2430mAh batteries in the same size, while the bigger one has 2 times more juice.
You can't put 2 times more stuff in a full box, can't you?
Actually, would like to hear, if anything went better with the battery
I bought that battery 3 month ago and it isnt different to the stock battery so i agree to Someguyfromhell.
I've got this.
Yes, It's fake.
But It is useful at very low prices. And, does not guarantee safety.

Another approach in battery problem
You can try two extra batteries + charger (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-1200mah-...448706?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab2080042). It works fine for me.
I'm just wondering is there 2000mAh battery for Xperia Mini(ST15i) to buy somewhere i searched google but found only for Acr S, Ray and couple more..
hello world. and XDA. I'm najodleglejszy (or shorter, if the nickname seems to difficult to type - nj).
all those battery replacements that supposedly have bigger capacity than the stock ones are crap, they usually provide even shorter standby time.

Incorrect. Go read about extended batteries for other phones. If you buy a good quality one(Mugen for example) , you can get quite a lot from it.
Currently, I have seen one extended battery type ep500, unfortunately no backdoor as the battery is bigger than stock.

Is there a battery with higher capacity than the standard matching the Xperia Mini? I know that batteries are fakes, but if they are better than the original?
Sorry for my English.

You cannot put more capacity in the same size, so no, there are no.
You would have to buy with another back door
Also, why don't you look/search before posting? There is a topic about same thing in the same section on the same page!
you cant put in there
It's not a battery, but it'll recharge your phone 3-4 times: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/6000mah-rechargeable-external-battery-pack-with-cellphone-adapters-blue-54010
bought it, and it's great for when i use GPS in car, or travel longer routes.
I want to buy extra battery and portable charger for my Live with Walkman WT19i. I'm thinking to purchase "Sony Ericsson Battery EP500". I think it has higher mAh (I think its 1200mAh). Is it a good one and it compatible with WT19i?
I have to use ebay, so how do i find genuine battery? I have to use online shops, because of I can't find a suitable battery in my area shops. Are there any good site other than ebay (Specially Sony official site)?
Are there any higher mAh battery for Sony Live With Walkman WT19i? If so can you give me its name or model number.
Thanks!
Check this out! I've bought this battery! The official battery is 1160 mAh, and this battery is 2430 mAh. It works like a charm and the battery life is twice so much like the original battery. So buy it!

Thank you friend your reply.
Is it not bigger than manufacture supplied battery? Because of its mAp is twice of the manufacture supplied battery.
So If I use it, should i replaced the back cover?

Yea right, keep on dreaming, no way this is 2430mAh. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. I doubt if this is actually more than 1200mAh.

u only need heat gun and some thin object like cards to open it.. then use double sided tape when reinstalling it again if the adhessive is not reuseable.
If the battery it's not bigger in size is not bigger in capacity. Beware, inform yourself. : )
Don't spend money on that kind of scams. I did, some years ago.

i think it has the same size but different capacity.. just like the one in op3 and op3t exactly identical battery but differ in respective capacity.. i just want to know if someone here try this.. thanks for your concern mate.
a battery cannot be the same sixe and have a differenct capacity ... at lease to my knolage. Also installing a bigger bettery might not be the bestest thing to do .... you know ... with the note 7 and all that ..... (explosions)
I think the point here is that we have a lithium-polymer battery while the one shown here is a lithium-ion battery. So it IS possible to have a higher capacity at same size as ion batteries have higher power density than polymer batteries.

bro if you watch teardown video in youtube of op3 and op3t battery, you'll see they has exactly the same dimension but different capacity, thats the magic of tech.

No that's not gonna happen. Battery stops charging when it indicates being full, not when it indicates being charged with 3500 mAh which in fact is a rough number. But these third party batteries are risky nonetheless. It might give you better usage time but maybe they won't live longer than some months, but maybe they will. Moreover if you overcharge or misuse the battery then these non OEM batteries, not having as good quality standards as the OEM ones, might be damaged or in worst case scenarios, explode.
So it's not like it's a complete lie, it's more like a gamble.

Note 7 , you mean
Did anyone tried this battery? On Ali now is sold with 4900mah which is a lie but in reviews some guys say it reaches up to 3500mah. Im interested in durability, how it is after 3-6 months of use. I cannot get hold of Lehehe wich is best option, this Hsabat is second best i guess. Some say they got defective one so its kinda lottery with those batteries.

Use Lenovo online 'contact Us' link and find your nearest service center. I've seen prices around 1350-2000 Inr.
