msm_hsic_host wakelock issues - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I'm sure some of you have noticed this on BBS.. having this kernel WL.. was draining it fast, I have turned off the data on my phone and has been much better thus far, 3 hours and goes into deep sleep and with only 13min awake time about 8.2% or so..
I hope this helps somebody out there!

RILJ wakelock, but CPUSpy still shows 99% deep sleep?

I honestly don't understand this. A few days ago the RILJ wakelock started showing up on BBS. It seems to keep going up - right now after 16h on battery it's at 16 minutes and the count is nearly 500. It's at the top of the partial wakelock list. The part that got me confused is CPUSpy - from what it shows, my phone deep sleeps perfectly. If I clear stats then lock my phone for, say, one hour, when I turn it back on it'll show 99% of the time spent sleeping and only a few seconds spent at higher frequencies.
How is it possible that I have a pretty frequent wakelock and still be able to deep sleep almost all the time? My battery drain isn't too bad, in fact I think a 3% loss over night (7-8 hours) is brilliant. After using wifi, it'd drain a bit faster, but settles after a while.
And I don't have my phone with me right now so I can't post dumps or screenshots or anything, sorry about that.
Edit: I'm on CM9 RC2, Siyah v3.5 if it happens to matter. I updated to Siyah 3.5 yesterday.
Why did you post this? If your battery is fine and you have no problems then everything is fine, no need for posting right?

Better ask in BBS thread. Maybe a bug, if your battery usage is going fine then I think CPU Spy has no problems .
I don;t think this is really a problem.

Help with CM10 cpu deep sleep problem

Hi guys, I have a problem with cm10 based rom (PA2.53), cpu doesn't go into deep sleep when it is supposed to. It does go in deep sleep, but for very short lenghts of time, during the night (with quiet time enabled and jd plus) i lost more than 10%/hr (from 100 to 20 in little more than 6 hours idle), I checked cpu spy and of 6 hours idle little more than 1 was in deep sleep and 5 at minimun clock freq (134), there's no app keeping the phone up as battery was drained for 70% by android os (which also shows cpu awake for more than 5hrs).
Any suggestion to fix this? I know battery drain is "supposed" to be high on jb, but isn't over 10%/hr in idle a little too much?
Using mesa 2.3, smartassV2, min 134 max 1200, jd plus, startup manager and fast dormany tweaks in init.d...any suggestions to fix this problem?

I already had that, the fast dormancy tweaks come from there, also installed every battery tweak pmr has to offer, but still draining like hell. I checked better battery stats and there are no unusual wakelocks...

I tried a last resort solution and it seems to be working (not too stable but better than before) I completely discharged the phone, recharged it fully while shut down and battery consumption seems to have improved. I lost 6% right away when unplugged it from charger within 30minutes, but now i have 12.30h running on battery and it's down to 84%, so aside form the 6% that drained immediately from 100 to 94 the rest seems to be keeping up pretty well. I'll keep an eye on it though as it seems to vary from time to time...In two days new pa and new fxp should be out, I'll see if that makes anything better...
Thanks for reading and for the replies so far
I think i found out what is causing the high battery drainage, it's the mobile data connection. For some reason JD (or the system) can't shut it down when phone is at sleep. Last night i switched mobile data off and in the morning i had almost less than 0.5% drainage, as soon as i turned it back on battery percentage started dropping at sight...
Battery Calibration
Download BatteryCallibration app from the market and follow the steps given there..
Helps me everytime i have a battery issue...
HIT THANKS IF THIS HELPED
Thanks for suggestion but that doesn't help, i used zepps die hard calibrator before, but it's not a battery problem. Random processes at random times will keep the cpu running when it's supposed to sleep, that's what's draining the battery..
Perhaps an app is polling the net too often, facebook anyone?
Xperia mini (smultron), CM10 150, Xtended kernel + rom
No i have app control which prevents any unwanted things to start-up automatically (and fb is on the no-fly list )
I think i kinda sorted it out, what causes the problem is thethering. When i disconnect tethering according to phone wifi and data are off, but in truth they keep staying on. I shut tether off and can still see my hotspot from pc even if wifi is completely off on the phone! So it's wifi and data which keep staying awake (even with screen of for long periods of time) and slowly drains the juices.

mdm_hsic_mp0 kernel wakelock?

First and foremost I'm stock rooted and unlocked (bootloader). Got an Anker 6200 mah battery and recently cycled it for the first time with great results. Used the app battery calibration to wipe stats after charging to 100%. Unplugged the phone and turned on the tether. Noticed it went from 100% to 80% ridiculously fast. Opened up betterbatterystats and realized I had some wlan wakelocks and the top offender was mdm_hsic_mp0 kernel wakelock.
I've found a FEW references to this but not many and still not sure what exactly it is. Nothing unusual pops up in the dump log file. Sure I have a few sync partial wakes but nothing over 4 to 5 seconds. This mdm_hsic_mp0 has been kernel wakelocking for 2 hours. Now, I did turn on my hotspot tether during that time, but strange I never noticed this wakelock prior to this seemingly increased battery drain.
So my question to you all is, what is this wakelock. I've disabled almost all my syncs, no location services on, etc. Trying to eliminate every possible source and build my way back up.
I hate wakelocks about as much as I hate politicians.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Okay left the phone on the charger all night and got her back up to 100%. Now checking BBS this mdm_hsic_pm0 wakelock is still happening. I have not used tether/hotspot what so ever and wifi is off. However I have noticed that when I go to the stock battery stats screen w/in android settings it appears my data is shutting off. Almost like a fast dormancy is taking place to conserve battery. I didn't think Verizon supported fast dormancy. But I do not see any references of "fast dormancy" in BBS.
Any ideas?
I used to have that issue on an old version of cleanrom... I turned off multi windows and that seemed to help it... Not sure if that is it though... Could be a coincidence

Thank you for your input.
Installed Beans build 8 and have it (the wakelock) but I've got it figured out and now it's not wakelocking when nothing is going on. Prior to flashing Beans rom however it was still wakelocking w/out what I think is the cause.
It's for the verizon mobile hotspot app. I timed how long I had it on and roughly was the same amount of time that the wakelock was occuring. Phone has no problems going into deep sleep as it's been in deep sleep for 9 hours on this cycle. So I'm content w/ what's happening now.

Tablet doesn't go into deep sleep

So I basically unplugged my tablet last night after it was fully charged and let it sit overnight.
Checked it this morning, and under then normal battery graph it showed it was awake pretty much the whole time.
Using BettterBatteryStatus I see 0 Deep Sleep, 10h34m of "Awake"
Checked Kernel Wakelocks, I have "suspend_backoff" at 5h28m and "alarm_rtc" at 4h10m.
Partial Wakelocks only show "bwl" (Beautiful Widgets) at 8m9s. That's the highest Partial Wakelock.
It appears to only have dropped 5% all night. Although I'm not sure I believe that either, this tablet seems to stay at 100% for quite a bit, but once it starts dropping it starts dropping faster... I can use it for 30 minutes and still be at 100%, then another 30 minutes and have it drop from 100% to 92%.
I've only had the tablet 3 days so far. So far I like it, I'm just trying to figure out why it won't go into deep sleep. Better Battery Stats isn't giving me any idea, and usually it's pretty good at telling you what is keeping the tablet awake.
And no I have not rooted the tablet yet.

don´t use apps that are running in background. look in wakelocks tab of better battery stats (kernel and partial) and lookup whats waking it.

That's... what I did. See my first message.
That's the whole reason I use BBS.
Wifi is on all the time, maybe you should try to turn it off while screen is ff in wifi setting or use Better Wifi On Off.
You don't use Stamina Mode ?

Yeah, I'm playing with this tablet a bit more and realized if I have to use stamina mode to get it to go into deep sleep. Most other android devices I have and have used will go into deep sleep even without any sort of 'stamina' mode and even with Wifi set to always be on. Looks like Sony has made quite a few changes to the way the power settings work with this tablet and the kernel.
Even without stamina mode I get pretty good battery life. With stamina mode it's better. With stamina mode (and very light usage, screen on time is only 42 minutes) I'm at 1 day 8 hours and 84%.
Also I remember one of the sony dev said on their forum that there was a bug (on previous rom) that report wrong battery drain, sorry too lazy to search for the link.
Youn can use geolocalisation to manage wifi too, when near a registered access point it turn on/ and off when going away.
Can't wait to get mine in a week!
My deep sleep is back after I've found that some Sony's b2bcustomerinstall was sending alarms like crazy. Disabling it reclaimed the battery with a notable difference.

Vbus_wake_lock wakelock keeping the phone awake

Hello everyone,
I've been following these forums every now and then and was very helpful when I encounter some minor problems so far.
But lately I start having a very strange problem on my mom's phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Win (i8552- stock rom- android 4.1.2) and couldn't really find a decent solution or a good explanation so far. So I decided to ask you guys.
The problem is phone is having a bit poor bettery life overall, especially while in idle. I found out most of the times it is losing 2-3% battery per hour while idling (i.e overnight). Sometimes it's slightly more 1% per hour and sometimes between 0.5-1% (which sounds more normal).
While in idle usually Androis OS seems eating up the battery around 50-60%. I disabled most of the notifications, most of the sync options (especially google ones), all kinds of screen sounds, facebook update intervals, uninstalled Avast and also disabled the location access. But these changes didn't really give a noticable difference. Battery drain inconsistency was still there.
After I noticed this strange battery drain I decided to digging it up a bit more and installed GSM Battery and wakelock detector.
Firs that I noticed in GSM battery is that the phone is awake for like 1.5 hours out of 7-8 hours of overnight idling. And Android OS kernel seemed responsible for this. But couldn't really get more clues.
Then I found more clues on the culprit in Wakelock Detector under "kernel wakelocks" tab. Which is vbus_wake_lock wakelock.
WD shows vbus_wake_lock is awake for almost an hour after the last charge, which was 7 hours ago.
After I found this I googled around a bit but couldn't really found a useful explanation except it might be caused by an apple charger. But I know that mom's using the original samsung charger.
I tried rebooting to see if it helps. It's been almost 4 hours now, phone lost around 2% battery which seems ok-ish but the vbus_wake_lock is still there with 25 minutes of awake.
So any idea. What should I do to hunt this wakelock down?
I don't really want to make her worried about her phone though, she seems happy with it, since she is playing some games and charging it every day so not really having a battery issues. But I know that there's something wrong here and I want to fix it.
So I desperately need your helps guys.
Thanks a lot.
Sorry for my English btw, as it's not my native.
