Try some equalizer from Market with volume boost or just set all sliders to full...

He just said the volume boosters on market are incompatible with jb and he's right. Why would you request something from Google play

Where he said that? Show me!
Because I tried and it's louder. And he talked about one app not all volume boosters. And some equalizers have volume boost and they are compatible with JB...
With this one volume is a little bit louder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hr.podlanica
I don't use this, just downloaded it and tried to see if there is any differences.

Are all videos like this? Weird... You might want to do a back up then restore to fabric cause mine is working normally.
I've already done a restore to fabric ( no hardware reset but with software reset ) but nothing changes
LG Programmed the phone like that. If you up the volume to the max while hearing music or playing a video, you'll see there comes a warning about the loud music damaging your hearing and sht. Maybe someone developed a mod for that or you could simple change the db's of what you want to hear.

What's going on with the volume control on this? I'm rooted with the In Paris rom, and when using headphones the volume at the lowest setting is too loud for background listening, such as while reading a book, and then if I turn the volume up it stops getting any louder at about halfway. This happens with both the stock headphones and my nice pair of IEM's.
Any way to fix the volume control, or at least let me turn it down lower? I'm not opposed to even getting an app to do this.

Install this: https://market.android.com/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.controlapp&hl=en
and then in the options menu for it, put a check in Map Volume Keys hack. Then just use the volume rocker (physical buttons) on the Tab to control your volume.
It's the best fix we have for now as it's a known issue with the "In Paris V2" w/Pershoots Kernel rom

This probably should be in that thread as there's already a post about it.
Ive noticed this too. im gonna try the app.
This issue is caused by the voodoo patch included in pershoot's kernal.
In stock kernal you won't have tis issue.
Sent from my GT-P7510
But will the stock kernal be as "fast" as the pershoot kernal? I really like the performance of In Paris V5 and the pershoot kernal.

The market says it's not compatible with my Tab. Weird. Do you have a link to the .apk?

thats wierd it installed on mine without a hitch.
So, is there a free fix available? preferably one that doesn't require me to run an extra program. Currently, the Volume is too loud on the lowest setting (only with headphones) and the Voodoo app costs money (I do not have a credit card).
I am running tasks 6.1 ROM, btw.
I have asked this question and this is the answer from creator of that voodoo sound thingy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18796746&postcount=7
after that he made free app from market incompatible with galaxy tab. I don't think pershoot should include that voodoo patch in his kernel compilation because of that... but that's my opinion.
Voodoo control app worked perfect for me with volume button hack. Here's the apk I ripped from my fascinate for those who can't get it from the market.
I think there is an app called voodoo control on the market, check it out, and you will have a better sound system.
I've ran all of tasks builds, with pershoots kernel, never had a problem with that. Sometimes (I know its a pain) I just do a complete wipe, then re-flash the ROM. Also, food for thought, you sometimes can get a bad download of that ROM, I've had that happen with my Evo 4g.

Galaxy Task and high volume headphones
I flashed Galaxy Task 6.0 after a full wipe, installed update 6.1 and 6.2.
Volume too high with headphones
I flashed (with no wipe) the Stock KMN Kernel found in the 2nd post of Task and sound got fixed but the boot animation wasn't working anymore and well, it's a stock kernel so bye bye all pershoot tweaking
I reflashed yesterday the full Galaxy Task 6.2 after a full wipe. Sound high again even after update to 6.3. Flashed the stock kernel and sound got fixed.
Finally, today I found the voodoo control app (could not download the free one from market coz it is said to be not compatible with my GT-7510)
=> full wipe - install GT6.2 full and update 6.3
=> installed Voodoo and finally I have the sound ok AND the pershoot kernel
Just google voodoo apk and let the music whisper to your ears
Hi there, I swapped my SK17i with mini ST15i and I noticed that the volume in the ST15i is too low comparing to SK17i ! is there anyway to increase the volume specially in the GPS, Alarm, Media ?! Thanks in advance...
i had this problem and then i installed apps like Volume + and others like that. they can boost your sound in Speaker, headphone, bluetooth and in-call and ...
try these type apps
---------- Post added at 03:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:03 PM ----------
or using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1417318
Thanks, I already tried the second method but it didn't improve the sound it only change the scale from 15 to 30 ! But why ST15i is different than SK17i ? The speaker sound in the mini pro SK17i is much better than ST15i !
i think the ROM using affects sound. for example CM has less sound boost (even with DSP manager) but with apps like Volume + got way better. maybe mini pro ROM s had worked on sound boost and mini not!

thanks, me and my friend bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 448s and compared to his ipod mine sounds like crap. I've downloaded volume+ and boosted it . now it sounds awesome!
Got this issue in Xperia Ray st18
The In-Call Volume is VERY low both in Ear Speaker and Loud Speaker. It is very difficult to hear the other person if your hearing is not perfect. It is a horrible situation and no fix in sight! But if I find something I will post it. I hope someone can help.
Music etc on loudspeaker works fine. So far the solutions posted, loudspeaker on then off, then volume - then + are impractical.
Using baseband 86 (latest) on Xperia Ray Gingerbread. ICS had the same issue, and was completely unstable for this phone, Xperia Ray. This problem is in Stock Sony Firmware and ALSO in stock BASED Firmware. Custom Firmware also seem to have this issue.
Biggest annoyance about this phone so far with no definite solution. Don't hold your breath on Sony, they aren't going to fix it. Maybe this has to do with voltage control on the Ear-Speaker when in a call. But it is not right because after a call, the regular sound, Music etc, gets boosted so you can go from being in a Call and barely hearing the other person, and after the call, suddenly the music Explodes.
I"m looking for a volume booster that will make ring tones and the like louder, not the music (that's plenty loud)...but I guess I have a hard time hearing and it seems like text/ring/notification/email tones are all very quiet, even with the volume turned all the way up.
Anyone? Also running ICS.
I think there's LITERALLY an app called, "volume booster" XD check it out man!

Thats for music
Dsp manager has a speaker setting. Download and install apk here and thank boost if it's what you're looking for.

I thought it was only me having that issue. I have a new Motorola elite and the Jawbone era and I can barely hear the ring notification on my headsets. When I answer everything is loud and clear. I'll try the DSP apk as well and I'll post something if I find a fix. It's the same whether I'm on ICS or any of the collective roms.

Just curious did you root your phone or alter the ROM? On the free version it gives a warning not to download if you are using a stock rom or Kernel. I am stock just wanted to make sure.

Does it increase the in-call volume when using the handset? If so, how did you do it? I can't get it to increase mine.
Can't get it to increase anything, and I did make it the main volume control app.

I've never tried to make the call volume any higher to be honest,..though I know it has options to set up a higher in call level setting....seems like it adds something to the build prop so I never tried...lol...
The Samsung galaxy note seems to limit the available volume because of safety reason. I found a post that removes the volume limit for call volume but I need it for music volume
I've tried everything that people have suggested. The only thing that worked was using an equalizer from the market and then using an application other than the stock music player (like power-amp) to listen to music. Unfortunately this doesn't sound that great as even at small equalizer gain values it seems to degrade the sound quality and ultimately at higher gains distorts. Sadly even after rooting and running non-stock ROM's I can't seem to boost the audio values.
In most headphones and auxiliary ports the phones volume is quite good through the mini-jack. However, my work truck is awful and it needs to be boosted and maxed when streaming internet radio to even have a moderately loud listening volume.

Volume+ app by Meltus worked for me on the Unofficial ROM -- at least I think it did. Maybe it was just the EQ settings that did it?
Can you point me to the post that removes the volume limit for call volume? That's exactly what I need!
Same here. Call volume is pretty quiet on GB, or ICS.

This is a little silly, but have you both made sure you're actually lining up the speaker with your ear when you're talking on the phone? The phone is so big that it didn't line up the same as smaller phones. I notice quite a bit of difference when I adjust the speaker to line up directly with my ear.

I did notice that in your other thread. It did make a real difference but not enough unfortunately.
hi, is it possible to make the music louder on headset?
when i plug in my headset and click on play, the first 2 secound the sound is very loud but then goes down lower, its not much but it would nice to have the same volume as in the first 2 secounds
Wanna go deaf, huh?
Get a equalizer from the play store.. And put it at max.

Which headset r u using? I've used stock headset and smartheadset and disappointed with loudness like u. But I tried a 3rd party headset accidentally and it blasted my ears. So I thought that Sony headset volume is less. Btw I like earblasting loudness

i use the stock ones too...
and the first 2 secounds the volume is really loud and after that the volume goes down a bit...
The only way we can change it - is to change stock player. jetplayer, for example or any other whith preamp function.
I have no idea how todo it other way whithout root/unlocked bootloader.
