Friends, I'm using Jb with nemesis kernel, the problem is, (I've tried stock and thp kernel as well),
The stamina mode is not working...
If I wipe data of extended standby app, it seems okay... But the next day, again, the battery backup not increasing with clock on stamina mode and battery backup goes lower than a day...
What to do???
(I've tried wipe data and cache and reset the phone as well...)

Just a tip, the use of task managers to kill processes and free RAM doesn't do much good for your battery.
Some android processes stay in memory and are usually idle till required, when you kill them they reload themselves into memory and have to re-do all the processing they were doing before they were killed which means your CPU spends more time processing things it already has done before, that's wastage of battery. Memory management is done by the OS pretty well, so take that into mind.
And if an app requires more ram, the OS automatically unloads other apps to create space for it in RAM. Unless you plan to use it all (like when running a heavy game), doesn't make a difference what amount of RAM is available on your phone whether its 3mB or 300mB.
Well mate it usually happens with me! So I decided removing all stamina mode nd stamina mode related things nd made a flashable zip! Now when ever I get this problem I just flash! It works!!
Or more simple option
Just copy SuperStamina file from system/app nd move it to SDcard nd now delete SuperStamina file from system/app, it will give you reboot!, now move the SuperStamina file from SDcard to system/app nd give permission to RW-R-R nd reboot it will work again!

Greetings XDAits!!
I am here with this new thread to understand and research so as to how much do the individual settings on our phone help us to squeeze maximum runtime from our batteries..
Also to test out and provide you with the best settings so that your phone runs longer and also stop the drain being complained and experienced by some of our fellow members...
Here's what I'll want from all members who stop by this thread to do is :-
(To give the following information in the following order)
1)Device details (Name, Model No)
2)Firmware Running On (GB,ICS)
3)Their personal seetings which shld include the following :
a) Screen Brightness
b) Bravia Engine On/Off
c) Glove Mode On/Off (Only for Sola users)
d) Extended Battery Mode On/Off
e) WiFi/Data Connection On/Off (with minimum/medium/heavy usage)
And your personal additions...
Also it's requested to post your screenshot of your battery consumption graph along with the processes which are consuming it...
"Devs are also invited to give their opinions and mods so as to improve battery backup in our devices"
So here's my part in the post :-
1) Sony Xperia Sola (Mt27i)
2) Stock ICS Non Rooted
3)a]Auto Minimum
b]Bravia Engine Off Always (drains battery alot)
c]Glove Mode Off Always (drains battery alot)
d]Extended Battery Mode On for atleast 6hrs
e]Data Connection On 24*7 medium surfing
My battery backs me up almost a day with minimal music and minimum surfing...
Here's the graph

Dude,
looking at the first screenshot above, you have deleted many apps and you are saying it uses only 22mb ram.
There is no google play store which uses a lot of resources. And after installing apps like facebook, whatsapp gmail, gtalk, etc ram usage will increase. :good: for try

bro this rom reduc for gamers.and in nex version i want add another usfull apps.
.
i Have tried battery calibration but it does not work
please tell me some other ways to solve it
whenever i turn off the screen and put it in sleeping/standby mode (meaning when the screen is of and im not using it) ,
the battery decreases all of a sudden (displayed in the picture at point 1.)
so when i reboot it, the battery recharges it self, the battery percent increases about 20% after a reboot ( displayed in the picture at point 2.)
please help
this happens when i flash cyanogenmod roms , this happened on cm.10.1.3 and cm.10.2 :crying:
but whenever i go back to stock xperia rom, it is solved by it self.

i searched it online and the best solution was to wipe it through recovery
but when i tried doing this, there is no such option
many recoveries dont have this option anymore, only wipe dalvik cache is present there
therefore my recovery does not have the option to wipe battery states
Don't quote me. But I think the app ROM toolbox has that option
Chris B.
It's just a bug with these ROMS, I guess...

Chris B.
one question, should i wipe battery states after it charges 100% or before that ???
I recommend turning off the device while charging it. When it is full, boot up. Let the battery charge fully again while its plugged in. It should only be a cpl percent to charge fully. Then wipe batt stats. That's what I do anyways.

Hi xda experts all.
I have a Sammy Galaxy S3 international i9300. I have a class 10 32 GB ext SD card.
Issue happening with all ROMs I run currently.
I run cm11 and AOSP based ROMs (Omni nightlies, temasek v26 (currently)) and tried various kernels that are known to be compatible (yank, boeffla, devil, temasek).
I have two issues. I have no idea if they are related (I actually doubt it though), but it's worth mentioning both here.
First issue is that no recovery can see zips on internal storage. Anytime I want to flash anything I have to select it from external SD card, so before rebooting into recovery I have to move the file there from the default download folder.
I have flashed latest CWM, TWRP and Devil recoveries. They all have this issue.
The second issue is that my system heats like crazy and can sometimes chew my battery up in 3 hours, even when phone is in my pocket. It's not unusual to see CPU temperatures of 60-70 deg Celsius. I also note that all cores will stay maxed out continuously. This is regardless of governor (excl powersave), even if I kill all dormant apps in memory.
What I've tried (with both ROMs and all named kernel combinations).
I have done full wipe and reinstalls ad nauseum.
I use TB Pro to restore apps. The only system items I restore are launcher and Google search (to restore home screen app and folder layout).
Edit: It is so bad that it will discharge faster than it can charge via USB and phone actually died from lack of power whilst plugged I'm to my laptop's USB connection while I was composing this.
Any suggestions?
