Installing Sense 3.5 theme on Mikrunny 1.0.1 :
Normal installation is not possible cause its a odexed rom.
Use qtadb or rootexplorer
Remove in sytem/apps htcdailer.odex, systemui.odex, htc_ime.odex and rosie.odex.
In system/framework remove ime.jar
Link for qtadb:
http://qtadb.wordpress.com/download/
Using Qtadb,
Plug your phone to usb, set it on recharging, not on diskdrive !!
Start qtadb on pc, let the program load.
you will see the files of your phone on the left screen, go to system/apps or framework
right click and delete the odex file.
Click to collapse
Thanks so much for this it worked perfectly, do you think that this technique would work with other sense 3.5 based themes?
Oh and it would also be good to note that qtadb needs to be pointed towards a folder with adb within it.
Otherwise it won't work.
thanks again m8.
EDIT: Just noticed that when you press menu, settings and edit home are still at stock.
It seems to have missed them when skinning, would be nice to get them on but seriously this is a huge leap from stock.
Cheers

Sense 3.5 theme should work by just flashing the zipfile on all runnymede based roms, mikrunny 1.0.1 is different cause it is a odexed rom.

Maybe i missed some themed apps, will look into it. By edit home you mean the menu of the rosie ?
I am still learning though, just doing this a couple of days.
My goal is trying to get a fully functional rom (3d options, phereo etc.) themed as i was used to on my good old hd2.
thats why i decided to start learning porting my favorite theme to shooter.ruu.
The xml editing is hard, still wanna port the dailer, make the quicksettingsbackground transparant etc.
Any help with porting is welcome !!
Has anyone confirmed it works on cdma?

By EDIT HOME i mean the menu tab when you press menu (hardware key) from the homescreen, you get six tabs, "Edit home" and "Settings" are both still at stock, it doesn't bother me i just thought i'd report it.

I'm not too good at this porting marlarkey but i am good at art If i can relate to the material by getting a fresh canvas i could create some decent themes, it's just i don't know how to get my canvas up ?
Otherwise i'd be banging these themes out like it's going out of fashion.
I appreciate it's hard work as i wouldn't know where to begin, take your time and get it right, i'd love to be able to help you, i'll look into learning how to do it myself and hopefully one day i'll be in a position to.
PS: I noticed that when using mikrunny 101 that when you change the app drawer matrix to something else you get some weird effects, some are cool and some are just useless.
For example if you set it to 4x6 you get a single row of 1x6 lol, looks weird, and then when i reset it back to default, it remained, then i changed it to 5x6 i got a triple row, 3x6 i'm using it now and i prefer it tbh, looks sweet.
Haven't noticed anything other than that not being implemented, but it isn't the full theme anyway, some of the icons aren't themed (like mobile data, etc)
Oh and the menu system when you press menu settings from homescreen, the list isn't themed.
Not having a moan, just providing you with some info, still love it
Hey guy, my rom is mikrunny v1.06. I have followed your instructions, but my call error when i call for someone, May be i have to flash rom again. Please do it for mikrunny v1.06. Thanks so much.

I did mine on a fresh install, get mikrunny 1.1, it's a bit smoother than 106 anyway, doa full wipe, cache and dalvic, or just superwipe, install rom, allow a full boot.
Download qtadb, remove the files stated in the ops second post and then reboot to recovery and flash the theme, download the apk and choose the skin from the personalise menu within sense.
Has been perfect for me besides the issues i pointed out.
which are.
1. Edit home and settings within menu are not themed.
2. Settings list is not themed.
3. Call screen is not themed.
4. Switches are not themed.
Some other bits and bobs but nothing which detracts from the look really, it's a good theme, which is still in progress.
Switches are themed by the apk file i believe.
Will take a look at the edit homescreen when I get home tonight.

Hi,
I don't think iOS7 is such an "amazing" upgrade. Some icons are hideous and almost all new features already exists in Android.
But i have to say, i instantly fell in love with the awesome window-transtions when opening and closing apps, se below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nFTbrxMifw#t=1m04s
I currently run a Nexus 4 (Jelly Bean, CM10.1 Linaro) with a modified framework-res.apk file with ICS transitions.
I know how to create animations (I am an android developer) but wouldn't it be cool to implement them on our system?
In the anims folder of framework-res.apk you find all of these xmls containing different animations

I too am interested in this concept. The "fly" animation of the apps opening & closing , the slide (left to right) to go back to the previous menu and a lot of other ios 7 animations are really cool! It'd be awesome if a dev could 'port' them over.
I run a nexus 4 (and also have an iphone 5, jailbroken obviously) and I've also tried messing around with the animations (going back to ICS animations using g-box) but I would love to have the gestures and animations that ios 7 is running!

FIRST AND FORMOST.. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK -->SCAR45<-- FOR ALLOWING ME TO PORT HIS PCB THEME TO HTC SENSE 3.6 EVO 3D.
HE BUILDS FOR AOKP AND HIS THEME IS AWESOME SO PLEASE GIVE A THANKS TO HIM. HIS WEBSITE FOR THE AOKP THEMES IS LOCATED HERE --> CLICK HERE
PLEASE DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!!
Version 5
THIS THEME IS ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED FOR NEGALITE BLUROM CDMA LOCATED -->HERE<--. IT IS ICS 4.0.3. Sense 3.6. Sprint 2.95/2.89 Hybrid, Deodexed and Zipaligned. IT SHOULD WORK FOR SIMILAR ROMS BUT WILL NOT WORK FOR AOSP/CYANOGENMOD/AOKP.
The CDMA version was tested by whbisondtr, He tested things that I can not, such as the 4G icons. He also pointed out some bugs and blurry images and helped decide on a few images to finally go with. He is partially responsible for how it looks today so please send him a thank you , both GSM and CDMA users, by clicking his profile link in the downloads section below.
Upon request, I have ported the theme to work with certain GSM roms. It is based off of Yoda ICS v8.5. It is android 4.0.3 (latest build). I would recommend running this rom, which is located http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679394
With help from MMarv, I have been able to port this to GSM versions of the HTC EVO 3D. Without his help I probably wouldn't have been able to port it to GSM as I don't have one to test on. He did all the testing and helped figure out the proper Installer script format. Please thank him if you get a chance or are in a nice mood .... link to his profile is in the downloads section.
THIS THEME INCLUDES A FULL AND LITE VERSION. SIMPLY SWITCH BETWEEN THE BLUESKY AND HTC SKIN IN THE PERSONALIZE APP TO SWITCH. BLUESKY IS LITE. HTC IS FULL.
This is an overall system theme, all blue text, all menu's are like the pics unless the app itself has its own menu, pretty much as much blue as I could fit in... enjoy!!!
List of what has been themed include:
Framework-Res.apk - icons, buttons, images, backgrounds, wallpapers, text, menus and other parts
Com.HTC.Resources.apk - icons, buttons, images, backgrounds, wallpapers, text, menus and other parts
SystemUI.apk - icons, buttons, images, backgrounds, wallpapers, text, menus and other parts
Leedroid Tweaks.apk - icons
Settings.apk - iconsHomePersonalize.apk - icons
MMS.apk - icons, message bubbles and other parts
PCSC.apk - icons
Phone.apk - icons, buttons, backgrounds and dialpad
Task Manager.apk - icons
HtcCamera.apk. - icons
ContactsProvider.apk - icons
DownloadProviderUi.apk - icon
Fusion.apk - Lockring, buttons, backgrounds, wallpapers, text and other parts
Flashlight.apk - icons and flashlight images
BlueSky.apk - icons, images, backgrounds, wallpapers, preview image, buttons and other parts
World Clock.apk - icons, backgrounds, wallpaper and other parts
HTCDialer.apk - icons, dialpad and other parts
This theme is ported from many other themes developed for other phones. I resized/recolored/renamed/replaced icons and folders and ported them to the Evo 3D to create one awesome blue theme for our rom.
The popups, status bar, dropdown menu bar, headers, title bars, the circuit battery icons and buttons were ported with permission from the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) theme for Cyanogenmod roms and Sense 2.2 upto Sense 3.5 made by Scar45 on xda forums found -->here<--. I ported and resized and renamed to fit Sense 3.6. His official website is found -->here<-- If you would like to port those images to your theme/rom, please ask permission from him. They are his images, they took alot of time to create, and they are very good.... he deserves that at the least.
Other icons and images were either ported from themes where the creator gave permission in his post or where it was NOT stated to "NOT TO" use the images.
Simply flash through recovery....
===========================================================================================================
NOTE 1: Always make a backup!!! This was made with no other mods/edits other than stock Negalite and works perfect for me. I have no way of knowing what other apps/mods/tweaks you have done to your rom and therefor I take no responsibility for messing up your rom.
Note 2: First boot MAY take a minute.
Note 3. WIPE CACHE AND DALVIK CACHE (usually not needed just for themes... but you never know....)
Note 4: If your phone causes you to get laid because it is so sexy.... I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT.
NOTE 5: IF YOU HAVE TO SET YOUR MMS SETTINGS ON A NEW FLASH, THEN FIRST FLASH YOUR ROM AND SET THE MMS SETTINGS. THEN GO INTO SYSTEM WITH A ROOT EXPLORER AND RENAME MMS.APK TO MMS.APK.BAK..... THEN FLASH THE THEME... AFTER FLASHING YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE YOUR MMS CONNECTION SETTING BUT IT WILL STILL HAVE THE OTHER MODS, I.E. 5MB DATA LIMIT. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE MMS SETTINGS LATER THEN JUST GO INTO SYSTEM AND RENAME THE NEW MMS.APK TO MMS.APK.THEME AND MMS.APK.BAK TO MMS.APK AND REBOOT. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS THEN REVERSE THE NAMES AND REBOOT. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO MESS WITH THAT THEN JUST DELETE THE MMS.APK FROM THE ZIP AFTER DOWNLOADING AND BEFORE FLASHING.
NOT 6: Flashing ANY other theme or skin after this WILL CHANGE ALOT MORE THAN JUST WHAT YOUR SEEKING. Most themes are based off stock so their system files will not have mine, and thus will revert ALMOST EVERYTHING back to stock..... OR JUST MESS THINGS UP COMPLETLY..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AND I WILL NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE DONE SO.
ENJOY!!!

Here are a few more images (Keep in mind, the splashscreens are a bit stretched because xda forums limits the image size so i had to resize them
Will you make a GSM compatible version, too?

I don't have gsm files. I forgot to list that in the description. I will update once at computer.
Can you upload a link to the files that are listed as themed in the first post? I will have a look at them.

I really like your theme. It is simply amazing. Those files are found in GSM roms such as Yoda or Coolexe as you know. I know that downloading a whole rom is a pain. I like to upload the files for you but the upload size is limited here. Anyway, I can upload them one by one here. Is it OK?

I really like the full theme. I just included the files you listed in the first post. If you give me the list of missing files, I will upload them too. Are they only: (fusion, htc dialer, world clock)?
Thank you very much

Thank you for your hard work.
I tested the gsm theme but it didn't work. It seems that the updater script puts the files in data/app instead of system/app.
I even switched the script with another one from another gsm theme. But it was stuck in the boot animation. I was not able to go further because I am not a dev.
Thank you very much.

would you mind trying to reflash the theme.... but FIRST follow the steps in the order listed below
1. delete Fusion.apk from the zip and reflash
2. if that doesnt work then try removing framework-res.apk from the zip and reflash
3. if that doesnt work try removing htc-resources.apk from the zip and reflash
most likely its 1 or 2
those would be the files to cause a bootloop.... if you can do that to let me know which one is causing the issue i may be able to fix it
also, what rom are you using? i wasnt aware that gsm puts the files in another area... or it may be the rom.... i dont have a gsm phone to test on so this is kinda a trial and error thing to see what file is causing the issue
That is also why most themes are made for either gsm or cdma... Most of the time its one or the other.... Unless the themer has both models or someone to test the other version....

After some painful flashing and restoring my nandroid, I found that the problem is ONLY htc-resources.apk. Without it, the theme worked. And VOOOW, It is amazing. I hope you can find the problem in htc-resources.apk so that gsm users can enjoy the full theme as well. Only two problems:
1- The battery percent is not shown correctly.
2- In quick settings, I see only "mobile network", "wifi", "bluetooth", and "airplane mode".
Finally, here is the "meta-inf", I used instead of yours:
First, I just wanted to say thanks for going thru that to see which one it was.... I've been a tester and believe me , I know, it can get a bit time consuming.... So thanks....
Second, I will have a look at it to see what the issue is.... And if ya don't mind testing again ..... I'll post just that file to see if it works......
And last..... I'm not quite sure what you mean by only seeing WiFi, mobile, Bluetooth and airplane.....would you mind posting a screenshot?

1. what rom are you using?
2. do the zips you posted with the gsm files contain the ones from your rom or another?
this is the edited com.htc.resources.apk com.htc.resources.apk
there were a quite a few images that needed renamed.... simply adding .9 at the end.... let me know if this works.....

have been asking for the tab pro rom port to the tab S both by thedevious1 since they are so similar..no response (understand that). I tried my own cut and paste...select priv apps and it boots but system ui error..individually can take the file manager and mms apks and they work fine with the lighter ui..the contacts also can be used but not with phone (dependencies I guess)..tried porting using some of the guides but what do I know..also most of guides are old and jb etc based
