Hello
I've been using the One X+ for a couple of months now and I've noticed something. Before the One X+ I had used a Desire Z with many custom ROMS, the last of which was a Sense 4.0A ROM.
Regardless of the ROM, when I wanted to upload a photo to Facebook, I had the option "Facebook for HTC Sense", which the One X+ sadly does not have. I've come to notice that the quality of the uploaded photos with the "Facebook" option is very low. The "Facebook for HTC Sense" option uploaded photos at a very good quality.
Can we bring this back? If not, what are the alternatives to upload high-quality photos to Facebook from the phone?
Thanks.
I even uploaded 2 photos to Facebook, using my HTC Flyer, which has the "Facebook for HTC Sense" option. The difference between "methods" si MASSIVE.
You can see the photos HERE.
Yeah its probably a feature removed from sense 4 official as facebook is preinstalled now.
Could try to find the .apk file from the old one x roms or One perhaps or your old mobile roms, then place it in the system/app folder.
Might work if the sense base is at least 4.1 from other mobiles.

Is there a modded HTC Mail that automatically downloads pictures in email? It was there on my OG EVO, but gone in the LTE.
Not that I know of but it IS possible to get aosp email with this feature. Not sure how but SuperLTE bareback has it. I hated HTC email for that exact same reason too

Hi, i have an HTC One X plus and i was wondering if there was supposed to be any Facebook for HTC Sense interface for my phone. i don't see the option anymore to upoload my photos using it. i am assuming it is no longer supported by HTC and if so is there any way that i may be able to install it back to my phone (from any previous backups i had on previous phones, for example my HTC Sensation 4G) to my HOX+? would there be any stumbling blocks that i need to look out for or is it a simple "install" and "continue as usual" situation. thank you
I have the call it "regular" Facebook app and the option is still there.
Open your Facebook -> Click on the 3 lines on top left side -> select Account -> select App Settings -> Sync Photos
See screenshots.
Hoping this is what you were looking for.
Thanks, but that's not what I meant. I was hoping to use the former "Facebook for HTC Sense" app in order to upload my "select" photos rather than have "all" my photos automatically uploaded. I found the Facebook for HTC Sense interface to be amazing, I had never before used the official app itself to upload pics since I found it to be slower in it's handling and also having to be tedious in uploading pics one by one.

HTC removed it.
Try Speedy Uploader, it works quite well imo.

It's such a pity they removed it, because the quality of the regular Facebook upload is pretty low. Facebook for HTC Sense uploaded almost full (if not full) quality photos.
So I love this phone but just hooked up my dropbox to it. And I noticed whenever I take a Zoe, it uploads like 20 pictures to my DropBox account! Anyone know a way around this? I'm assuming it's a problem with the way Zoes are stored on the One
Yup. Turn off auto-sync of your photos from dropbox or the auto upload in the camera settings should do it.
Kind of sucks though... Won't be able to back up my pictures now

Wow. That is an issue. Just had to delete a ton of photos from dropbox because of that. Probably never would've noticed if I hadn't seen thus post.

Does anyone know how to stop the galley from showing Facebook photos without removing Facebook? So far that's the only thing I hate about this phone.

I don't have the HTC One in my hands yet but I am running Sense 5 on my HTC Evo Lte. Open up your gallery and click on the settings button, under the online services you should be able to unselect Facebook so that you don't have a million pictures in your gallery. Hope this helps.
There is currently no way to not have all those annoying FB updates in your gallery on the One. I posted on HTC's FB page about this issue, their response was to press My Gallery. This is the most frustrating thing about this phone. I didn't buy the HTC First because of the FB integration. Essentially this phone has the same downside.

Yeah, it annoys the hell out of me. :banghead:

So apparently the photo gallery will only show pictures you take with you camera. So where are the other photos like screen shots and saved imaged from texts and the internet. I cannot locate them. Is there a 3rd party photo gallery app we can download to view these photos?

Press the "My Photos" slide in the main gallery. It will take you to album view where you can see screenshots and downloads.
Sorry to hijack is there any way to get rid of the Facebook photos inside the gallery I hate that thanks for the answer if there is one?!

I've read this is a bug that HTC is aware of but have also read that HTC support told a user this is normal operation. If you are rooted you can freeze "Facebook for HTC Sense" which stops the photos from populating your gallery but still leaves a blank "Friends" panel...which I think is better than nothing.
