Hi all, I've just traded my iPad 3 for a Galaxy S4, but it won't detect my sim card. I've tested two different cards but it just says NO SIM.
Could this be a simlock? I've followed this guide afterwards to remove any possible simlock but still no luck.
Do you have any suggestions?
Edit: I see I've posted this under the Verizon version instead of the I9505 version.

I have a galaxy note i717r. I have been having troubles with the sim card not being recognized at all. I purchased a new sim tray complete with sd card slot. I replaced it and it seemed to work. After two days however the phone once again said No Sim. I purchased yet another sim card tray and tried that but wasnt able to solve the error at all this time. Please help if you know of the solution.
ps: I have also reformatted, reinstalled firmware, rooted it and tried titanium backup fix, and installed "vanilla" firmware to see if that would help. Nothing fixed it.
Good Luck

I just went through this same problem. After I replaced the SD reader my phone still didn't work, so on a last-ditch effort I used the KIES utility available at KIES -> Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initiation. This reset to the phone to full factory specs, just AT&T's updated android JellyBean 4.1.2. This worked and I was able to see my SIM card and get on the AT&T network.
Of course, afterwards I had to reroot and reload all custom software.
If you do this, make sure you have the latest version of KIES.
Good luck
Hi folks! My new galaxy s6 edge is showing 'No SIM card' always. When i inserted the sim for the first time, i was able to get the network but after a while it started showing 'No SIM card' . Later i updated my phone software to Android 5.1.1. Then for a minute or two i was able to get the network. After that it failed to read the SIM card. I even tried with different sim cards. But no luck. On the hardware side, the sim insert tray and sim card looks perfectly fine to me. I guess it's a software related problem. Is anyone also facing this problem? Is there a solution to this?

Hello!
Has anyone solved this problem, because its the same for me, the phone recognize for 1-2 minute the sim card and then error "NO SIM"
Thanks
Hey guys, I hope I'm asking this in the right place.
I followed a video and successfully installed Lollipop 5.1.1 on my S2 (GT-I9100). Previously my phone was running 4.1.2. I installed cm-12.1-20150430-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.
The problem: My SIM card won't unlock upon using my PIN code anymore.
If I boot without the SIM card, I can access the internet and do pretty much anything, but if I insert the SIM card, the unlock menu comes up and I can't get past it.
I'd appreciate any help!
I recently unlocked my Galaxy J7 Sky Pro from the tracfone carrier (called them, got two codes, put them in and device said it is now unlocked).
Now when I try to insert a different sim card the phone seems to have no service, even though the sim card is recognized (asks me for the pin and logs in properly). In fact that sim card is a prepaid european one, from the german carrier O2, but since J7 Sky Pro can do LTE connection I though that should work fine?
What do you guys think, is there something I could do to fix the issue?
My exact model is:
SM-S727VL
And android version is:
6.0.1
One kind of annoying thing is that even though I unlocked the phone, it still shows the tracfone logo on startup. Maybe the firmware is preventing the european sim card to connect to a tower? Is there some "international" version of firmware I could update to to make it work?
Thanks for any suggestion!
