[Q] Unable to flash mik_os 6.5.2

I am currently using mik_os 6.5(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354) and Clockwork Mod recovery. I tried to install 6.5.2 on top of it (wiping cache and dalvik cache) but it gets stuck on the lg logo. After going through the first post, I even formatted /system but that didn't help either.
Finally, I flashed 6.5 and it is working fine. Any pointers would be helpful.
1) mounts and storage/ wipe cache
2) mounts and storage/ wipe system
3) wipe cache partition
4) wipe data or factory reset
5) install zip from sd card
And blowww!! You have 6.5.2 flashed ;-)

Boot into clockwork recovery.
go to backup and restore -create a backup of your current rom (Note:If already backup has been done then avoid this step, backup created using amonra or thunderg wont support restoring using clockwork)
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mount and storage-format system
mount and storage-mount usb storage (make sure usb debugging is enabled)
copy the rom zip file to the root of your sd card
unmount
install zip from sd card-choose the rom zip and install
flashing takes 3-5 min
reboot!
just remeber to backup all ur app using titanium and restore after a fresh install and whnever u update no need to wipe anything just flash over the old version until unless mention by the dev
I didn't want to do a factory reset, however; I still went for it after doing a nandroid backup.
I followed all the steps mentioned by sshbz, but it still got stuck at the boot logo (the one with website address written).
Finally, thanks to the Nandroid backup, I reverted back to 6.5 without having to go through titanium restore.
For 6.5.2, the rom link is given in post 1 and mik_os had also posted a fix for clockword mod users.
I have tried the below
1. Install only the rom
2. Install rom and then the fix
Neither worked. I think I would have to wait for the next update now unless someone can make this work for me.

[Q] CWM can't wipe dalvik cache.

Hey guys,
I was just flashing a new ROM for my gio, and made sure that i did a factory reset, wiped cache partition and wipe dalvik cache. but when i went to wipe the dalvik, CWM froze for a bit, then showed the yes/no part for like half a second, then kicked me back to the main menu. It does this every time. Any ideas on what to do? or should i just reflash it?
bump
Hi there!
I think i found solution for your problem.
The think is there are two diffrent tipes of clockworkmod for Sammy Gio. They look excacly the same. Even there have same version number. But one is for ext4 file system (files on memory into your phone, no sd), and the other one is for ext4 and rfs. If dalvik wipe menu disappeared after part of second, you shoud figure out which version of CWM you are using at this time and just install the other one. It should help.
Here is the link whitch download links to diffrent version of CWM.

P7500 - Cannot format /data

On a fresh AOKP installation (r31) I performed a restart then the tablet freezes during boot animation. Tried to reboot it multiple times - same result. I wanted to wipe everything and restart but I cannot format /data partition in recovery: it will stay on "Formatting /data ..." for 2-3 minutes and then will reboot :-(
Any idea?
I suspect something in the data partition is corrupted, may be the partition table. Is there a chance to re-create the partition table?
Thanks.
Problem solved:
Using Odin I flashed the stock recovery then wipe data/factory reset.
Flashed back CWM 4.0.0.4, performed /data format
Flashed CWM 5.5.0.4 installed rom, rebooted, wipe data, format data, format system, adb push aokp rom, flashed AOKP. I lost my sdcard data but now the system is working.
I think we can close this topic.

why we get in bricked situation request for developer and top forum members to see it

i bricked my a311 as metioned on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/help/bricked-t3387089
and accentitally got recovered from it see post #4 on that thread
so in my situation luck was involved but strange after reading some thread i got in my knowlege that to brick a device internal storage need to be corruped and it can happen in various ways my question to all developer is that why are there different ways in flashing roms means...
i got this on cm12.3 posted at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/rom-cynogenmod-12-1-micromax-canvas-t3282317
Installation Instruction
- Use TWRP 2.8.6.0/TWRP 2.8.7.0
- Wipe system, cache, dalvik cache, data, internal storage
- Format data
- Unmount data (Go into Mount settings in TWRP, then remove checkmark from system, data, cache)
- Flash the zip file
and this on cm13 posted at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-micromax-a311-t3365783
only just Wipe Data/Factory Reset/cache and install zip file,
no format or unmount like cm12.3
and this on [ROM][STOCK] TWRP Flashable Micromax Canvas Nitro A311 Stock ROM on here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/orig-development/rom-twrp-flashable-micromax-canvas-t3287008
Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, Data, System
-- Format Data
-- Install zip
no un mount like cm12.3
i request all the developer of the rom to rectify where ever it is necessary and help other in correctly flashings roms on there devices also mention the least version of twrp required in flashing the roms respectively on there post/thread
@abhishek biswas
All devs mentions the steps correctly in all the threads. Each rom uses different scripts to flash the pakage, that is why each is having different steps. What ever it is, you need to wipe system, cache, dalvik and data partitions if you are flashing a new rom. All are mentioned in the threads. All the devs tests the roms and flashing procedure and provides the steps to flash them. Each rom have different scripts, some of them need to be unmounted some partitions already, and the script will mount them and process it while flashing. So there is no worry about the flashing steps provided. There is nothing wrong in the steps. All what you need to do is read the description and the steps provided and follow the steps.
OK thanks i don't know that but can you say that the stock ROM zip via twrp on the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/orig-development/rom-twrp-flashable-micromax-canvas-t3287008 is OK please try it it is for a311 I had an error in unable to mount system while flashing
today it happened again i am using twrp 2.8.7.0 to flash stock rom as stated on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/orig-development/rom-twrp-flashable-micromax-canvas-t3287008
and unable to mount system or data again please try it now somebody

If you are getting the error, go to twrp recovery - wipe - advanced wipe - wipe dalvik, cache, data and system partitions individually. After wipe reboot to recovery again. Then flash the zip, no need to wipe again.

RedMi Pro -- BL unlocked , TWRP installed , OS Deleted , Unable to transfer ROM

Hi all ,
Sorry for posting this here just the RedMi Pro forum isn't the most active and this is more of a general problem than a model specific problem.
So I recently bought a RedMi Pro, but was getting annoyed at the chinese bloatware and random phone features that were appearing in chinese characters. I tried to follow instructions posted here
I was following the steps but came to an issue at step 15
14. press wipe, advanced wipe - choose: dalvik/art cache, system, cache, data, internal storage
15. if it works without errors jump to point 18. - if fails with errors (unable to mount /data) press wipe, format data: yes
16. reboot, recovery
17. try again: wipe, advanced wipe - choose: dalvik/art cache, system, cache, data, internal storage
18. install, choose the redmi pro rom (.zip) - if your copy of the xiaomi.eu rom is gone (wipe all data and no copy of the rom on your sd-card), you have to copy the rom again to the internal memory

So I did the format data option which removed the OS and it seems where I also had the EU/Global ROM. Now I can boot to fastboot mode only and with the ADB get into TWRP recovery mode but the computer fails to recognise the phone so I've no idea how I can transfer the ROM onto the phone to begin trying to put the OS on it
Sd card?
