Hi I am very much new to smartphone world and also not having much knowledge on technology.
I am facing problem while setting a particular song as my ringtone in Canvas HD (MM A116) phone. Can you please suggest me the best way to do it?
Also after installing quite a few apps my touch option and swipe screen is facing lag little bit. Any solution for this?

i am using es file explrorer for setting ringtone from my sd card. you can set it as ringtone, message tone or as a notification tone....:highfive:
Go to settings>sound profiles>general
Costumize your ringtones and notification tones there..

simple on ur SDcard creat a folder> Media inside this creat a folder Audio inside Audio a folder called ringone and in this put the music u want to use and u will see these when u go to the chose rintone and u can select what u want for ur incomming ring tone I have done this for a long time and works for me :good::laugh:
dude,
make a folder with the name Ringtones in the internal sd card (or folder exists by default). put all of ur desired ringtones in that.
then go to setting>user profiles>(enter the setting of desired profile)> voice call ringtone. u will get ur ringtones over there. just set it and enjoy.
if it doesnot work set the genre of ur ringtones is as gener by going to properties of that file.

I don't know if this is the right place to put my question. Sorry if this isn't the place. And sorry for my English. It isn't really good.
But I have a question. I really like the apps on the Iphone and I'm glad to see that there are coming a lot apps to the HD2.
For example. Take the site of fanatik. You have this for mobile. When I go to this site with my HD2 is see the mobile version. Now you can place favorites on your HD2 so you can click on it and go directly to the site.
On the Iphone they made a button of it. You can go to your apps click on it and go to the site. The difference is the button on the menu.
I'm fan o buttons so my question is, is it possible to make such as buttons and link it to the internetsite. So when you click on start you can scroll down to the fanatik button and click on it.

as you see in these picts, i created the links and added them to a folder in the start menu. you can also make links to videos, playlists, ebooks and other files to add into your startmenu. i didnt change the icons yet because i just flashed this rom an hour ago. also for future flashing, make a copy of the folder with the shortcuts you have created in the start menu and save it to a folder on your sd. after you flash you can just copy the folder back into the start menu later. just keep in mind that you can not move the original files because the shortcuts wont find them later. also for the icons change, if you export the icon settings from csmi icon changer, you can import them later and you dont have to change icons one by one later...also dont move the location of those icons because the import wont find them later.

when changing icons, remember to delete the files in My Device/Application Data/HTC/ProgLauncher. These files are the old icons and if you dont delete them, your icons will not change to the newly assigned ones.
This is a guide step by step to add SensMe data to song and send it to phone using mediago( there's another video on youtube , but it's quite old , and on xda there aren't any thread for this , only some post , so I've decided to make this simple/NOOB's tutorial
What you need:

less than 10 minutes
First you need to move the songs to the pc!!
Next , open mediago , wait the refresh of the library(or if you see the song you want continue) , and then :

Select BMP , Tempo and Mood
Now you should see the 3 column ( I have the value because my songs have sensme , but you'll have anything here)
Now select the songs you want , and download the missing properties(wait until it finish download from gracenote)
Now Mediago should start to generate Sensme data(it's possible that it have enough information to generate without download data , you can see it if there's the heart icon near the library text)
If all go fine you will see values in the 3 column
For last , send the music to the phone by clicking the arrow( i've noticed that if the songs are moved while the phone is in mass storage mode , walkmann won't recognize that , so it's safier use MTP

Many thanks for your guide. I don't own an Xperia, but a Desire with ported Walkman on it, and I'd like to use SensMe. I followed the steps you explained but I had to push music to phone while in Mass Storage ( I can't do it otherwise ). I have 265 songs on it, everyone right tagged, and only two songs appear in "Energic" channel. All other channels are empty. May I ask for your help? Thanks in advance.
Edit : found the solution by myself : just push to device while the device is in mass storage. It will write on sdcard anyway. Thanks for the guide!

This ROM comes with musicFX which does jack **** except make your music sound ****tier.
I've tried Equalizer, which "works" but still not as well as DSPManager did. It was perfect. Had it on my old phone, but since going to the Galaxy Note no longer have it.
All I want is DSPManager to work. I found an apk for it and installed it, but when I choose it in settings > sound > music effects and then try to use with google's "play music" it doesn't actually do anything to the sound. it loads up, yeah, but doesnt change the sound. If I choose MusicFX it DOES change the sound but just makes it worse.
Also tried uninstalled MusicFX but then the "sound options > music effects" is gone, and even still, DSPManager doesn't change sound.
PLEASE. HELP.
Also this piece of **** refuses to be recognized as mass storage device. Found a recovery ZIP for DSPManager that I wanted to install but you can't download ZIPs from gmail and I'm not setting up a ****ing dropbox to move one ****ing file, that ****'s not neccesary. MTP never worked and was useless anyways so I disabled it, now when I enable mass USB storage and plug it in, windows just "Can't find drivers". Not sure how the **** there can be unfound drivers for mass storage. Seriously I never had any of these problems with my old ****ty HTC Vivid, sad that this galaxy note is being nothing but asshole to me. Amazing how a ****ing phone's software can be so ****ing ****ty.

I'm also looking for this for my Note 2. Would love to have auto awesome movies, but it is not available on many devices. Surely someone out there has found a way to make it work on other devices?!
Maybe you can change your device ID within the build prop?

I've got a Note 2 as well running Kitkat and I'm sort of pissed for a few weeks now that I can't get movies to work.
I found the solution to enable making movie feature in google photos, but you will need to have your phone rooted.
You need to edit build.prop file in /system folder in root and find and edit as following:
(be sure to backup your build.prop file first)
ro.product.brand=google
ro.product.name=shamu
ro.product.manufacturer=Google
o.build.product=shamu
ro.product.model=Nexus 6
ro.product.device=shamu
ro.cm.device=shamu
Save the file and do a reboot and then try selecting multiple photos and click on the plus button on top, it will now show an option to make a movie, if still it does not show, reboot again it will show up.
