[Q] Accidentally deleted stock ROM backup - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hey,
I've been running the CM10.1 nightlies and I wanted to go back to the stock ROM just now but CWM isn't showing it. I did make a backup before flashing, but I must've deleted it by accident somehow. Can someone tell me how to flash it again? Do I use the source code with Odin or something like that?
Thanks.

Use Kies, get into download mode and reset your phone?

Also, will this remove CWM recovery? And will the stock ROM be unrooted again?

If you can still get into recovery, just put a ROM on your external SD Card. That's probably the easiest thing you can do. Then when you go to the options to Flash, Flash from the external SD card.
I'm on a HTC One right now and I forgot the luxury of the External SD Card. Use that.

[Q] Anyone got a CM9 CWM recovery I can use?

I managed to soft brick my note and I can't seem to get any custom ROMs to boot past the boot animation, and returning to stock just bootloops. If anyone can provide me with their backup of CM9, that'd be great. I just need the boot.img, cache, data, nandroid, recovery, and system files. You don't even need to give me the clockworkmod folder, backup folder, or the folder for the actual backup! (Make sure there's no private information on the backup, mmkay?) Preferably, it would be made in CWM after flashing CM9 quincyatt RC2 and the 4.29.12 Google Apps.
If this won't cause too much trouble, I hope you people can provide a backup. I managed to wipe all of mine out (bad luck!).
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: If it helps anyone, I have an AT&T Note.

Thanks! It's an incomplete backup, but I can splice it with some of the backups I have on my computer and write it to an SD card.

Hope it works for you, I have no clue with this stuff. Don't know why it would be incomplete. I've used that backup image before to restore.

Yes, I have. I get a bootloop when I try to Odin back to stock. I found an old recovery I made from the OEM stuff, so I'm just going to flash that and start over. Case closed, I suppose.

So what is wrong with the Android Revolution question and answer thread ???
It was open last time i looked .
Try a factory reset or reinstall of a new download of the rom .
jje
What kernel did you use?
Check on the OP on how to install the ROM the clean way. It involves the SuperWipe.

Unroot S3 for Kies update

Hello guys,
I just started playing around with Android/ROMs/etc so forgive me in advance for what probably is a noobish question..
I rooted my i9300 using CF Root, and then tried a few ROMS.
Although, for the time being i decided to stick to the stock. Had it restored through CWM backup/restore function (Nan I believe).
But now, when I try to update it through Kies it says that the firmware version is not compatible.
I checked around and I've seen that I could flash the stock ROM and it would fix, although I would lose everything i have right now.
Wouldn't "unrooting" fix my problem? I mean, from what i can figure out, it's just copying cache.img and recovery.img to my 'boot'?
If so, wouldn't just putting back the stock files 'deceive' to update it?
Thanks a lot!!!

Use triangle away to reset counter, flash an unrooted stock Rom, do a factory reset, that should be or. You will be unroted and original status. Please correct me if I am wrong. There are also a lot of how guides here in the forum and on YouTube!

It was a great idea. Just did that, but apparently the firmware is still not compatible..
I also still see the CWM app in my app list..
Actually, rooting shouldn't interfere with updating via Kies, only OTA. That's what I read. Do you have the correct firmware region?
well its the one that came with the phone, so should be right.
would the cwm cause this? could i put back the original recover

Black screen after boot! HELP (URGENT

Hi, I'm new here so bare with me.
I just rooted my Samsung S3-I9300 hours ago. And I was pumped up, what I did later on is I installed bootanimation and I didn't quite understand how to use it and I still don't, but in the end I got it to work but the logo was too small but this isn't the problem. I entered recovery mode and I don't know what I extracted or installed and I rebooted my device and all I hear is the Samsung booting music and that's all. My screen is black.
Your help is appreciated.
Is your phone actually booting?

Yes, it is booting. I can see the back button and the options button lit. It's just black.
BUMP.
I would probably wipe data in recovery mode, and last case scenario flash official firmware from sammobile.com.
This will make you lose all your saves and stuff though.
Wipe cache and/or full wipe. If still nothing, reflash ROM. It happened to me long time ago, nothing to worry about.

If you didnt make a backup, yes, use ODIN to flash a stock ROM.
You can find out which rom you currently have in settings/about phone.
Download the rom from sammobile.com and flash with ODIN.
