I have broken the lcd and touchscreen so I can not see the screen, in the other hand, in the installed rom ( Mar 28| Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Official JB 4.2.1) not work HDMI; I know that I can switch to another rom that works HDMI and connect it to the TV but it will be the last option because this way I learn something more of ADB.
I have access to ADB commands and with MyPhoneExplorer can I see what I'm screen. I instaled teh webkey apk but problem is that I can not boot apk webkey to fully control the Prime. I have keypad but do not know how I can do to put the focus on the webkey access and run it. I read about keyboard shortcuts in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21188997 but it does not work om my Prime.
I also tried to send webkey boot order through ADB command:
adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.android.webkey-1/.webkey-1Activity but not run webkey and any ADB error response..
Any idea?
Thanks
SOLVED
Solved, it was easier than I did so because I believed that the tablet PC would see not if Prime had connected to the keyboard and the keyboard USB port to PC but he have see the Prime and then from PhoneExplorer I could set Webkey moving the mouse from the keyboard and then config it and from the browser with no problems.
In the attached files you can see what I mean .....
I hope later to have lcd + touchscreen at a reasonable price to repair my Prime although one TF700 is on the way ......

I'm having issues connecting the Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard to my gTab, and I've been trying to use Bluetooth Keyboard Easy Connect, but that can't seem to install Bluez Utils, because I can't find them anywhere on the device. It looks like the device is mounted R/O and I have no idea how to mount it otherwise.
But back to my point, I've seen tutorials for doing this manually, and all involve typing commands at a command line, some using adb. Is there a comprehensive tutorial for typing commands in these examples that people give?
Also, for what it's worth, I have the dev kit installed, and I try doing adb, but it tells me device not found, so apparently I'm not connecting it correctly and I can't find any instructions on how to do such a thing.
I'm not able to find anything on this search-wise (well, there is one post in XPERIA X8 General, but that involved removing a battery, which you can't do on the gTab).
Any help would be appreciated!
There are several ways to go. If you use Windows you need drivers and if you use Linux you'll need to make an entry in your udev rules so the tablet is recognized as a device. If you search the overall gtab forums for "adb windows" or "adb linux" you should be ok there.
So ADB is one way to get a shell. You can also download something from the market like Android Terminal or Better Terminal. Of course, those are easier to use if you have an external keyboard ;-) You can get Full Keyboard or other keyboards that have all the exotic keys.
The 3rd way to do it is to run sshdroid or another ssh server and then use ssh or putty to connect to your device remotely.
Any one of these methods will give you a shell prompt either on the screen or back at your PC.
Hello,
My vibrant got recently run over by a car and the screen doesn't work anymore However, I know that it still can function because I can see the 4 capacitive keys on the bottom light up when I touch them. Is there anyway for me to be able to view the Vibrant's harddrive on my computer without having to switch to USB mode (since my screen doesn't work)?
if you have adb installed and know some basic linux commands you can use ADB to view the contents of your vibrants storage via command prompt and should be able to copy most of your data over. As far as a graphical solution i think there was something being developed called screen cast at some point but i dont think that will be much use to you as i believe it has been abandoned
I am familiar with adb but I can't see my device for some reason when I connect my phone to my computer and run 'adb devices'. I've used adb in the past to push / pull files but I remember having to mount the device from the dropdown menu before it would be recognized. Is there any way to force the phone to be connected? Thank you for your help!

are you on a stock rom? ever since i started using custom roms ive always had ADB debugging enabled, unfortunately you may be SOL if you need to enable ADB debugging as both the adb method and screen cast require ADB to work, the other option is to take apart your vibrant and have the internal memory chip read that way tho your stand a good risk of damaging the internal memory chip
All,
Based on some work I was already doing on another app of mine (Juice for Roku), I threw together an basic web server to run on the Nexus Q that can be used to launch packages and intents. You can download it here: http://greggreno.com/test/JuiceReceiver.apk
Steps to install:
Make sure the Nexus Q is recognized by ADB using the ADB DEVICES command. If not, look at the Running Apps thread that shows how to get the USB driver to recognize the Q.
Download the apk file (above)
Use this command to install it: "adb install JuiceReceiver.apk"
Use this command to run it: "adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.jigawattlabs.juicereceiver/.MainActivity"
The background web server service SHOULD auto start when the Q boots, so you shouldn't have to manually start the service again, unless it crashes.
When the app launches, it will show the URL of the web server running on the Q. Just go to that link and it will show you the list of currently supported commands. Since I don't have a keyboard or mouse hooked up, I auto close the front end app after 30 seconds to get it out of the way.
The /showimage and /playvideo commands don't seem to work yet because there doesn't seem to be any default player for them. The /playmusic command seems to work (you see an activity playing it), but I can't hear anything.
Please share any suggestions for how I can get the media playback working and any other commands you need. Consider this a buggy alpha release.
works for me
Nice! Didn't try too many things, but was able to launch a couple of the built in apps (settings, downloads).

Code:
adb shell pm uninstall com.jigawattlabs.juicereceiver
Juice Receiver is the way I call the Launcher on my Nexus Q, since I could not assign any key, or combination key to open the launcher I use the browser to do it. Thank you very much, other wise I'll be stucked at the adb commands for that!
Hello All,
This is my first post so here goes.
I simply need to get rid of the USB Mode notification when Nook Tablet is connected via USB to my Windows 7 PC so I can navigate device.
I have done a ton of research to get ADB working on the Nook and was having tons of problems with Windows XP and drivers. Moved to Windows 7 32-bit PC. Now I have Nook Tablet provisioned for USB Debugging and ADB sees the device. Now all I need to be able to do is plug the Nook Tablet into my PC via USB and not have the USB Mode notification appear. I need to be able to navigate the device while it is connected to PC via USB and recognized by ADB. Does anyone have any insight on how to remove this USB Mode notification when I plug my NT to my PC?
What I have:
NON-ROOTED Nook Tablet Software version 1.4.3
Provisioned for USB Debugging
ADB recognizes device and I can see it with no problems.
Thanks,
Maybe you can try this?
Well here goes a reply, since a lot of the questions are answered with rooted nt and that is why there is not a hole bunch of replies.
You could try sshdroid app, it said root is optional. No usb needed for this one. Hope that works for ya.:fingers-crossed:
p.s. Use terminal in winscp and type or paste your commands in the field. Make sure you exit the app corrrectly, you don't want the ssh service to be running when you are not using it.

As Vector said, it's more difficult due to you not being rooted and on the stock OS. On ICS/JB you can simply change the storage connection type.
Have you tried just pressing the 'n' key? I don't remember myself, but it seems logical that since pressing Home on an Android phone when that screen pops up will take you back to the home screen that the 'n' key would do the same.
Why do you need to navigate the device when connected to your PC? What are you trying to do over ADB when not rooted? Most of the commands I'm aware of (while extremely limited) center entirely around typing 'su' as the very first thing you do. You must have root for that to work, though.
Jedi mind reading
Something that my significant other is still trying to teach me that I haven't fully grasp yet. I'm still at if you tell me to get you a "German Poodle" then I will get you a "German Poodle"

Yes I have tried pressing the n Key, no dice. I am trying to use screencast.jnlp to project my nook onto my PC monitor. Then show people how to use the Nook on a big screen. But when I am plugged into my PC USB port, this notification prevents me from doing anything on the device until I unplug the USB cable.
So I rooted my NT with Brianf21's root process. Thank You Brianf21! I thought these rooting processes were going to get rid of the BN operating system and turn it into a standard tablet. It did not and I was able to keep the BN modified OS and have another OS that looks just like a phone.
So I Tapped the Home icon in lower left hand corner(looks like 4 houses), selected Quick Switcher, then Selected ADW Launcher. This brought up a typical Android phone type home screen. I then pressed apps, scrolled to NT Hidden Settings and tapped it. I then selected Run ADB Daemon As Root/Turn Off Auto Mount For Session. This turned on USB Debugging and allowed me to get rid of the USB Mode notification while USB is connected to PC.
Issues with displaying nook screen on PC:
Trying to display nook screen on my PC with screencast.jnlp:
I'm trying to screen cast the nook's display screen with screencast.jnlp, I am connected via ADB and ADB sees the device. When I start screencast.jnlp is sees the devices but all I get is a white screen? I can click on the White screen and it selects whatever app or icon is in that part of the screen on the device and I can control my nook from my PC. I just cannot get the display from the nook to show on my PC. :crying:
Trying to display nook screen on my PC with Android Screen Capture:
ADB starts and sees device. I start Android Screen Capture and it sees device but I get nothing, just a Android green guy icon. :crying:
Is there anyone out there that has successfully displayed a Nook Tablets screen on their Windows 7 or XP machine? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi All,
Has anyone tried to connect Touchscreen LCD monitor with Xperial ZU ? I mean, connect the monitor with HDMI or Miracast and for Touch, connect USB cable from Monitor to ZU. I have Dell 21.5" touch monitor S2240T which works perfectly with Windows 8.1 (with touch using USB), and would like to make it work with Xperia ZU as well.
I followed the steps mentioned in the below link, but touch is still not working:
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player...reen?1802-Touchscreen=&highlight=MK802IIIS/BT
As mentioned in original link, steps are simple to follow:
So here is a Step-by-Step guide:
0. connect an usb-hub and a keyboard/mouse to you MK808
1. Install BusyBox Free -> Market -> run the installer
2. Install Terminal Emulator -> Market
3. run Terminal Emulator -> write down "lsusb" -> remember the output
4. Connect your monitor to the USB of the MK808
5. run Terminal Emulator -> write down "lsusb" -> remember the output
6. by comparing the two outputs of "lsusb" you should see wich new device was plugged-in
7. The last two numbers seperated by the ":" are the PID and VID of the touch interface wich you will need - for me they are 0408 and 3000
8. download the attached file and rename it: replace the with the numbers you found by the method above & rename the file-ending to *.idc
9. copy the file to you device (e.g. by using an sd card, dropbox, wireless adb,...)
10. open terminal emulator again and write down "su" -> wait for the root confirmation window and accept it
11. write down "cp /sdcard/Vendor_0408_Product_3000.idc /system/idc/Vendor_0408_Product_3000.idc" (replace the path "/sdcard" with the path you copied the file to)
12. reboot the device
13. have fun
In fact, in my ZU, idc folder is under /system/user and hence followed the below steps in terminal emulator:
su
chown 0,0 /system/usr/idc/Vendor_0408_Product_3001.idc
chmod 06755 /system/usr/idc/Vendor_0408_Product_3001.idc
reboot
But, it is not working in ZU. I tried the same steps in my very old chinese tablet (almost 3-year old), and touch is working (not perfect though).
In fact, you can look into one of the video in youtube of Touch monitor working with android:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qsv_Wu9IpA
I'll try again and try to make it working. But, if some can try and it works, please share it.
Thanks
By now, I tried this on Sony's latest stock ROM 5.0.2, CM12.1 based ROM from crDroid & Resurrection Remix and still no success. I think this must be a small code addition in kernel for making HID multi touch work, as explained in below link:
http://www.chalk-elec.com/?p=2028
Here is one more link where user has added code in Kernel for his Dell S2240T touch Monitor:
