Hello all, i have a small (big) problem with my camera on my phone (S2 obviously) but what happens is when i go to use the camera it says "your SD card is running out of space. Change quality setting or delete some images or other files." but it is storing on the SD card (obviously) which has about 15GB left and has never had any problems, and i don't think it is the rom as it does it with all of the JB roms i have tried. i have no idea why it is doing this but if anyone does could you please help. Many thanks in advanced. Yours MBrown

Is it trying to store it on the internal SD card? I think your ROM might be bad, what ROM are you using?
There is not enough infomation in there.

its not tied to any network just use it at home on wifi.
i would like to know how to install apps on the external sd in stead of the internal also how to get to the folder which holds pictures and videos so i can move them to create more room. it doesnt have to much internal memory so by installing everything on the sd i plan to improve usage.
i have searched the google and have searched this site and various others and havent found the answer to my question.

You either need to install the Froyo update (since moving apps to the SD started as a default feature in Froyo) or root your device.

Use this app: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en.

Great, so that means your device is rooted. Now just use this app: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en.

Use the app to transfer whichever apps you want to the new partition. Also set it to automatically link new apps to the sd partition, if that's what you want.
If you're having trouble, just Google it. There are hundreds of guides for using Link2SD, and thousands covering all kinds of ways to move apps to the sd card. Here's one to try.
Hello,
Is there a way to move the apps to the usb storage instead the SD card? I ask this because i dont have an SD card but i have plenty of room on my internal memory. The system memory is 2gb but is getting full. Whenever I press the move to sd button when managing apps it says theres no sd card. I also tried app2sd with the same result. I thought that was IceCream problem but now I am on Jellybean Rom (WanamLite JB edition) and it still gives me an error.
I search forum and internet for an answer but I didn't find anything that solves the problem.
Can anyone help me please?
Thank u in advance.
If you search and didn't find anything, i don't think it's possible.

I want a sure answer if it is possible or not.
I have an issue that may be caused by an upgrade that occurred before I bought the phone on ebay.
When I got the phone I think it was on the latest RUU and stock ICS rom.
I've flashed a lot of roms however I almost never took out the mini SD card, and since I have taken it out before several roms ago I've noticed this problem: I can't save screenshots or cam shots unless I have the external mini SD in!
If it matters I'm on 4.2.1/wildstang kernal 3.0.16
You need to change where the camera stores pictures. The setting should be in the camera app.
But, storing pictures on the internal memory can be risky. Flashing can wipe your memory.
yeah just change where the camera stores pictures, it should be on the camera settings
i don't see where this location setting is. This also doesn't solve my problem: I can't function without having a mini SD card in the phone at all times? Seriously? What if I downloaded an app?
I'm gonna try a few tests actually and see what happens.
Well your OP just mentioned pictures and screenshots.
Please tell us the ROM you are running.

What exactly is your issue.
What if you downloaded an app? What does that mean? It would go to your internal SD, mine don't go on my external when downloaded. Aren't you trying to use the phone without an external SD?
Why would you not have an sd card anyway? If you're running any AOSP based rom, it becomes the default storage.
You can swap the storage around in /etc/vold.fstab so that the internal storage is marked /sdcard if you're using an AOSP rom.
First of all, one of our relatives gave my mom a Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 Korean clone tablet, but the real device name is Softwinners V706, which runs on android 4.0.4. and has 5.05gb of sd or internal storage. First it was very descent, easy to use. But then, When I install apps on google play like Hungry Shark Evo, Dead Trigger, apps with very large files, an error pop up and said "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card". The solution was unmount the External memory card then mount it back again. But the tablet we were using didn't have an External memory card yet. And here's another problem. I tried to move apps to INTERNAL memory of the tablet, an example was the game "pou", It won't save. what I mean about it wont save, it becomes some thing like this, "me.pou.app", and becomes missing on the app drawer. another is the pictures and even screenshots, it won't save on the Internal memory of the tablet. We are new to this android thing. Please help us! I used the camera of my phone because the tablet won't save pictures for the screenshots.

SD Card if fully functional but its name is displayed as 7BDE-3B10 while on Marshmallow Rom. Till date tried formatting SD Card and also switching roms! Nothing seems to work for me. Would be glad if anyone could help me out with this small error. Due to this I cannot save pics and videos from Camera app to sd card due to the app incapable of detecting my sd card due to this name error! Thanks in advance!

Thank You CYANO11, that was informative but my problem is that i can't make my Sdcard as internal as it says my Sdcard is slow(Class 4) and now I'm using it as External Storage and this issue bothers me because my camera app isn't able to detect it as "Sdcard" as it is shown as Separate directory named "7BDE-3B10" whereas it should have been Under the Sdcard Directory! I just want to get the name corrected as either formatting or flashing roms again isn't helping me
Hope someone who has faced such a problem helps me....and thanks in advance
That's not an error. It's supposed to be that way in MM.
Stock camera app won't write to sdcard anyway, so I'm assuming you're using third party camera app.
In that case check if it has permission to write to external storage.
This might clear your confusion : Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Cannot write to SD Card
