[Q] Acer Liquid Gallant E350 Bricked after update wrong firmware. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Today I installed the wrong firmware for my acer e350.
It did the install successfully, and when I need to press the start up the phone nothing happens.
When I connect it to the PC the small light lights blue and the battery is fully charged.
What i did is....some will laugh and call me a n00b... but who don't try will never learn... and get their fingers burn.:cyclops:
Anyway.
With the Update package (OS_Acer_Acer.AV041.E350.1.000.23.WW.GEN1S_A40I_A) unzipped and replaced the content in the "ROM" dir.
not smart but I got told it could work, but not in this case.
I ran the EUU.exe and all went well, install succeeded.
But phone wont boot anymore, not to Recovery too.
The ROM i used is the ( Xtreamer_Mobile_ROM_3.1-FOR_PC_FLASH_Tool ) i found on internet.
I am also not able to install the Root and CWM ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1899736 ).
Looks like the phone is dead thou I get the small blue light, so there is some life in it.
Any help, suggestion and/or kick i da .... will help and be appriciated.
Kind Regards [email protected]

did you solve this problem ? I got the same thing.

Sorry for the late respons. But......
Nope. Never got solved. Had to send to acer itself and wouldt cost me at least 100 € ex vat. So i got myself another phone. Still laying eating dust.

HTC HD2 stupid hardware problem :[

Hi i want some advice about my problem Well im a new user of the HD2 i got it 2 weeks ago ... And now i have very big issues with it. I was browsing with the Opera on the device and the phone Froze Up i tryed everything and i restarted it... The phone started up to the HTC logo with the red ID of the product and ... i waited a while like 2 hours and i saw a post in this forum for the hardware reboot that restores the factory settings. I pressed the volume up and down buttons and i started the phone it restored all and then another problem appeared. the following message:
"This program cant boot you have low storage memory please delete something ..."
But i dont Have anything on the device memory so i cant delete anything from it ;( And the HTC sense dosn't want to start and the phone is unusable
Please someone help :[
why dont u bring it back where you bought it if u only got it two weeks ago...did u flash ur phone with any roms or is completely stock?
Well that's my other problem Because the phone is buyed from London... And i cant send it back so fast to my father to take it to Carphone Warehouse and i will have to try to fix it here ... in Bulgaria. well i have a flash memory card 2GB and i installed some software on the phone but its all gone after the reboot... and i took off the memory card so that i dont lose the files on it :[
Hmmm
Go the the HD2 Rom Development section of this forum. Check out the first post. It should have all the stickies on flashing your first ROM.
1. Get HSPL3
2. MTTY29 Flash
3. Flash a radio.
4. Flash a new rom(I love Artemis. Blazing fast and ultra stable)
You should be sorted out fine bro. It doesnt seem like a big deal
Mm I will try it but it may take some time im waiting the phone to charge fully. Because i cant do anything with the phone i cant see how much its charged allredy. And i dont think that the phone responds so well it asks me for the usb connection and i press Active Sinc and nothing happens mhm...
hmmmmmmm...
i want to fix it not to trash it xD
the memory is to low and the device can't perform anything ... and the USB dosn't want to connect :[ the phone was working great and it went to hell for 1 sec ... lol
Ah guys thanks for the help but ... It can't be fixed :[ I will have to return it to Carphone Warehouse its a technical glitch ;(
Low Phone volume after flashing rom
Hey Guys,
I flashed my phone last night with the ELEGANCIA ROM Series. All went well but now the volume on all calls are at a very low volume. I have tried to adjust the volume while on the call but the bar is at the max level.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do. But the way, I didn't have this problem with the stock rom and this was the very first rom that I placed on the phone.
Thanks... please help...
From Where can i find the MTTY29 Flash... i cant find the original thing, can someone give me a link :?

I Think I'm Bricked...

I think I've bricked my Galaxy S II.. I got it yesterday and tried to flash 2.3.5. When I was flashing with Odin, the program went unresponsive and crashed. There was nothing else to do but take out the battery.. I shouldn't have done it, but I did. And now it won't turn on at all. I've tried the 3 button method, for download mode, and a jig from my old i9000. Nothing has worked. The screen wont even turn on. I don't know what to do... Help Please??
you need a jtag.If it wont go into download or recovery its gone.
What do you, Jtag? I've got a usb jig, does that work? Or are they the same thing?
*What do you mean
aren't jigs phone-specific?
Any new info on this? Did jtag worked or whatever. I keep eye on this thread but looks like OP disappeared. Genuinely curious what happened with the phone.
Hmm .. very wierd that phone wont turn on ... i have broken Odin flashes purposedly many times myself but always I can get back into it ...
You could try power drain ... remove battery ... press power on button for 10 seconds (WITHOUT BATTERY IN) ... now put battery back in and try to go into Download mode.
Sorry but i got busy with other stuff but wanted to explain to him about the JTag.Its a special box called a RiffBox JTag and what it does is basically wipes the motherboard/bootloader and in most phones repears the bootloader aswell of a fully bricked phone so it can be put into download mode again letting you re-flash via Odin and thus saving your phone.A little miracle that means no more bricked phones. There doesnt seem to be that many around and to buy they aint cheap at all but if you can find a dealer or a phone shop who has one they can do it for you.For example.I bicked my phone and was going to buy the box on ebay.es imported (in spain there isnt any for sale) for 160euros complete or 140 without cables.Searched this site:
http://www.jtagbox.com/riff-jtag-bo...s-unbrick-bricked-phone-riff-box-owners-list/
and found a shop in Barcelona who did it for me for 35euros plus postage "BARGIN!!!!".If you search youtube and google for RiffboxJtag in your country you should find someone with a unit willing to help out or check the link ive given as it has a list of users worldwide.
EDIT:A jig is not a JTag.A jig will boot your SEMI-BRICKED(phone showing some kind of life ex.classic icon of phone/arrow/computor,menu and back arrow lights work e.t.c.) phone into download mode.A FULLY-BRICKED(dead,no signs of life.wont start.no download, recovery, lights nothing.DEAD!!!) phone needs a JTag
@cooza , Thanks for that explanation and site I even found one near me, that some day might come handy.
I must ask now to further clear my doubts, this riffjtag box, like you said is able to "revive" or "unbrick" _any_ bricked SGS2? No matter how bad is it? Im kinda new around these things and trying to suck up as much info/knowledge possible, before I decide to flash/root/?brick? xD haha ( hope not for last one) my phone.

Hi.As i said before there are semi and hard bricked phones.A semi bricked phone can normally be booted into download mode with the 3 button combo or a jig and your away again. It has the usuall symbol of a phone and a PC with a warning sign in the middle of them.Hard bricked is when the bootloader is damaged and there is basically no return. You got yourself a very expensive paper-weight for the office desk. Its like trying to turn on your phone with no battery in it.Dead, gone and not coming back. Before the Riffbox the only solution was the rubbish bin or maybe change the motherboard(but a few years ago that was an extremely pricey task if possible). Now we have the box.You can screw you phone to the point of no return and still the box will bring it back to life as it wipes the motherboard and in the case of the SGS2 also repears the damaged bootloader which is what boots your phone to start with. One thing to know, and i dont know if it happens to everyone but mine came back with 2.3.3 installed but there was no recovery mode.If this happens all you have to do is re-flash via Odin a more reciente firmware WITHOUT PIT FILE and yourll get recovery mode back at reboot.Obviously youll need to plug in your phone before hand to re-install the drivers.Same with Odin.boot to download, plug in,installs, unplug, then open Odin and flash.
EDIT:yourve got my name there so if something ever happens and you need a hand to re-flash after a jtag just send me a private message. Here to help.

Thank you mate! I am getting my SGS2 this week so ive been doing alot of reading and research about everything. Thanks for your contribution and kind offer to help if ever comes to that. Very appreciated.
No worries mate.truth is its very hard to fully hard-brick an i9100.The main thing to watch out for,and its a mistake that first-time users/flashers have done,is to flash there i9100 phones with i9000 firmware by mistake. An SGS is not an SGS2 and if they are mixed you WILL hard-brick your device. Here on XDA everything is clearly marked and on their right pages so you cant go wrong if you take your time dont rush-in.But just in case you havnt seen it heres the thread:
Firmwares:

CF-Root Kernels: (if you feel the need)

Hi, dont bother faffing with it mate, if you have only had it a day take it back and tell them it wouldnt boot after an automatic Kies update. If they cant turn it on they wont know you bricked it until it gets back to the factory and to be honest after selling 10 million of these babies they wont even bother checking it out, they'll just put it into spares or straight recondition it.
I did the same thing to my xoom, PC world couldnt turn it on so they just gave me another.

Is my SII at a better place now ? (Brick?)

Hi guys! First of all, pls excuse my English.
I have a S II I9100 for almost two years and it won't start anymore. Before, I never had any starting issus with the device, but last friday, I tried to turn the screen on as always with the bower button but nothing happend. So I removed the battery and tried starting it again. The device booted until the Samsung logo and got stuck there. I removed the battery again and since then, my screen doesn't turn on.
Here my software specs:
Firmeware: I9100XXLSJ_I9100OXXLS1_OXX
Kernel: Siyah-s2-v6.0b5
I flashed this software 4 month ago.
What I tried until now:
- I tried a different battery
- of course I put it on the power (the phone got a bit hot but nothing else happened)
- booting recovery or download mode
So I can't boot the Recovery or Download Mode and at the moment I'm a bit confused what I can do without getting forced using my S II as paperweight. I'm not sure if I should try a USBjig.
If you have any other questions pls ask!
Any tips are welcome
Greetz, Lenniitsch!
Of course try a jig, and try King Rat's (search his posts) method where you try to 'jumpstart' the phone with just the charger/no battery. These are very much unlikely to work, but you have nothing to lose by trying & sometimes **** truly does happen (I.E one of these methods works).

This method does not seem to work for me.. :/ Well thank you nevertheless! Now I have to wait until the Jig arrive with the DHL. I will post my results!
The usb jig doesn't work for me.. So I think I have to say bye bye s2 and hopefully hello note III ;D

I had that problem 3 weeks ago. I put it on the warranty and they told me that the processor burned and they changed it , for free, They couldn see if the phone had root because the processor was dead. You should try it too:good:

I've tried it but they didn't repair my device because i have a very small crack in my glass and so it's no warranty. The want about 200 bucks for a new glass and touch panal and that's too much for that device in my opinion

[Help] Need GoClever Orion 101 (Tab 104.2) stock ROM .img or help with flashing zips

My friend received some time ago a new tablet GoClever Orion 101. In last days it began to have problems. First disappeared bottom bar with navigation buttons and then after many restarts and factory resets it remained stuck on boot logo. That's when I received it.
First of all I tried to get into fastboot or recovery. Nothing worked so I googled some time and found out that there is a special procedure for flashing .img files. For flashing is used tool named PhoenixSuit or LiveSuit. So after long searching I found some ROMs for other devices with same chipset and even one for my device (probably stock, don't know). But only 2 of them worked. First is this http://dorkfiles.com/ampe-nova-a31-quad-core-black-edition-rom/ I successfully flashed it, booted it and that's where I stayed. Touchscreen is not working. It is because of missing driver for display. Second ROM is just pure black screen. I can turn display on and off with power button but that's all. USB debugging is not working, touchscreen neither, no custom recovery...
Could someone help me with my problem providing me with some valuable help? I really don't know where to go from this stage. Thank you very much.
EDIT: Managed to get ADB working. Still need help.
Anyone?
I can you provide driver from original Rom. I have Bmorn K12 tablet with same specification. But you must me tell, where can I it find?
On Russian forum I found my firmware, you can try it flash per phoenix. Here is link to forum and there is link for download - in 5th post. I can't speak well Russian, but very thanks him!!!
link for download dfiles.ru/files/dky0echl7
But after flash camera not work
firmware not 100% compatible
Hehe... i got this tablet to now like 2 weeks maybe ^^
first day: run great, after some time i get unable to use stock launcher. [fixed by 2 factoty restarst and 1 rom cache delete, after that i buyed Nova prime! runs better +more stuff like add or remove pages and much more..]
second day: all fine when sutten, i pressed on task killer to kill apps.. and then i got my speaker blow up, yeh i now wtf... didnt volume up or down i think it was like 60% volume.. [for this one i was rly mad.. :c but i remeber that ther is way to fix this by removing one speaker just cut one cable.. or add any other speaker like strong one non brakeable like nokia speaker.. sometime plastic must be removed, or just use one speaker]
3 day: i was rly wtf to now... but meeh im using expensive and rly good earphones
4 day: im lucky that it can run mw, gta vc, and other great games easly! +it was so cheap at my local store :] +it got keyboard with it..
...today: i just now purached 32gb class 10 30mbs, becouse its already full with all thos games :3
(about your problem hmm, why didnt you just use other launcher )
(more about my tablet, well it was last tablet.. it was in window, but it was rly cheap +wasnt able to exchange becouse last and didnt want to wait to send to repair shop and wait 1-2 months.. im happy that i know some ppl got more problems than me >.< DATS Racist!)
Hello, today I was upgrading OS to Beta Android 4.2 (trial version) from Goclever official site. I think upgrade was succesfull, all re instaled apps was working. I turned my tablet Off, and after 90 minutes I was trying to turn it On again, but there is no reaction for Power button, or Reset button. Tablet looks like dead. Any idea? Thanks for any help. I'm sorry for my poor english.
-----
Solved! Tablet with Android 4.2 will not start if there is a memory card. Before turning on or reboot takes out a MicroSD Card!

What do they mean by trial version? how can the android 4.2 be a trial version? after 30 days they ask you to pay it or what??
Can you guys please send me llink to android 4.2 beta download, because on goclever's official website is only android 4.1 labeled as android 4.2. Please help me. You are mine last chance because goclever is in bankruptcy and their support isn't workin. If you have this file stored in your disk drive please upload it any cloud. PLEASE

Pendo Pad 7" PNDP51M7 firmware help.

Recently rooted my tablet using Kingoroot, succesfully rooted the device but like many others on the next reboot have gotten stuck in infinite boot screen.
Factory resets have not fixed it so I am trying to source the firmware for it so I can reflash it. Seems to be a rebranded Allwinner device.
Tablet details are:
Pendo Pad 7" PNDP51M7BLU (BLU is just the case colour.)
aka Allwinner PNDP51M7
Android Lollipop 5.1
boot screen gives the number A33_D71C_U712HB2C_PG.1508101.20150902 which is how I discovered it's an allwinner A33 device.
I have searched for firmware myself, but all the A33 firmware collections I have found so far do not seem to have this device listed
Any help in sourcing the correct software I need would be massively appreciated. I have contacted Pendo to see if they can help with the neccesary files, but am yet to hear back from them.
Thanks.
If it helps.
I have another of these tablets that I could possibly rip what is needed from if it is possible. Although I have read around some backups can only be used on the device they were made on.
Hey
I also have a pendopad 7 with 5.1 lollypop.
A33 quadcore 1gb ram and 1024 x 768 res i think.
I have a similar bootloop after kingroot.
My systemui.apk crashes and it just stays there forever.
Mine is black though .
PNDP51M7BLK
I have contacted pendopad and they say send it back and claim insurance .
I am in europe and cant afford to send it back
Just not worth it
Lol , I think we have similar problem here mate .
Okay , here is the update.
I have tried 50 plus firmwares for A33 and just got to one which is 4,4 and touchscreen is offsett by a big margin. Touch is not in sync. So the hunt continues. Is there a way where we can know what mainboard we have then perhaps may be can find one. I think its by inet so any a33 inet firmwares might be worth a try.

Thanks for replying, got the same reply from Pendo. Send it in, but no longer under warranty (rooting would of voided it anyway if it was) and even though I am in Australia where Pendo is located be faster and cheaper to buy another tablet.
I have been able to find this which lists all the hardware:
specdevice.com/showspec.php?id=d476-7462-0033-c5870033c587
Says the mainboard is EXDROID
And yeah I need to get Android 5 or higher on it as I use, or did use, this tablet to fly my quadcopter and its software is not compatible with anything lower.
Frustrating as the tablet itself is fine it's just the OS that seems buggered, thank you very much Kingoroot
While it sucks to have the issue it is good to see someone else have it and reply. Was beginning to think I'd find no help on this site. I have had no luck at all getting a fix, here's hoping you fare better.
I do have one possible solution Max, I do have here the same tablet, one that works. I could, if it is possible, dump the firmware from that? If you know how I will do it and give you a copy to use also.
This is how my recovery looks like with a hit and try firmware. Just the touch is offset and its on 4.4. Thought its exdroid
Can I have a look at ur recovery just in case.
You access it by pressing n holding volume down button and power it on.

Irrelevant Info. Found better ROM.
Edited these posts as I have found a 5.1.1 rom that seems to be the perfect fit. looks and behaves like pendo's in every way minus the bloat.
It was a pain to get off the japanese site I found it on so uploading it atm and will link it here for easier downloading for you.
File is: http://www.mediafire.com/file/2crtz..._Play_store-A33_D71C_U712HB2C_PG.20151120.rar

ok, seems to register the battery as low charge, and also shows the battery draining rapidly even though I believe it should have enough charge.
Wifi, touch screen, sound. All seem to be working ok. sounds a little quiet. Says there is an update but won't do it unless I can get my battery to register over 30% charged.....even if the tablets plugged into my pc or power point.
Really need to find if it is possible to do a rom dump on this other tablet I have without rooting it. I am worried about bricking it like I have this one if I do a root to dump it.
True say man true say.
We f*** it up first time when we tried to root and put twrp.
What we can do is
Experiment with root and twrp on the one thats already messed up and once we know everything that works , we put it on the factory one
Dump it and install one the other one (i.e the messed one )
I will give the rom you provided a try and provide feedback on that.
I was just going to dump this tab. But oh well i live in sweden now and all of a sudden I care a lot about environment
Cheers mate . miss the wierd aussie timings

Now if we find one root and twrp method , all would be sorted for this tablet:good::good:
I am still amazed how you found out this rom. I have searched every possible website and forum but all in vain .. Kudoos to you man .
How to flash
Hi Guys,
what did you use to try and flash this tablet? I have it showing up as connected in the intel platform flash tool but cannot load the rom into that.
And ADB says no devices found.
Note my pad does nothing, no screens, all I get is the Intel USB flash thing show up in device manager when I plug it in to my pc.
Sirs might I offer you dragonfave firmware edit to modify firmware?
How to flash it
@max414 how did you flash the firmware in mate? I've tried update from SD card in recovery but get a error 5 seconds into the system update screen

I am having the same boot looping issue on my girly purple pendo. I downloaded the rom that was further up the thread but being a noob at this I have no idea how to get the rom from my pc to the tablet so if someone could point me in the right direction or tell me how to do this it would be greatly appreciated
