Hi guys, would love to know if there is any way to disable the navigation bar as I'd like to have full screen + LMT for my tablet?
I've tried FullScreenTogglev2.apk and it bricked my tablet. Next I tried tweaking the build.prop but that did not changed anything on the tablet. Not sure if there's another way that I've not tried but I thought I should ask the community first before I put my tablet through another unbricking process.
Try gmd gesture control

Hi guys,
I am wondering if anyone knows how to change a dock shortcut back to a plus sign.
I clicked on the plus sign to create a shortcut to an app but wanted to revert back to nothing being there (just the 'plus' sign to add a shortcut). But the only thing I found was 'X Blank' which leaves a blank space now. It just looks weird with a space next to all of the plus signs.
Sorry if this is a noob question, but haven't been able to fine the answer. If anyone could help me that would be great. I'm using Froyobread v020.
Yeah annoying isnt it, LOL?
I ended up resetting to default settings :]
Hi, I just rooted my wife's 16GB Nook Tablet last night (on 1.4.0), using that little all-in-one tool. I didn't choose the permanent menu/back softkey, because I didn't want to make the n button go straight to the home page (since she might want to use the nook apps page, etc). Is there a way to add the menu and back keys without changing the behavior or the n button? Also is there a way to reinstall the keyboard that came with the NT? When installing GApps it also takes away the keyboard for some reason, but on the NT I think the default keyboard looks a lot nicer. Thank you.
Wondering about this myself. I prefer the Nook keyboard.
Background :
I have managed to create the Home Screen app I wanted to create, since I know that without a rooted tablet there is no way to hide the bottom bar where the HOME, Back Button, and History Stack are I found a way around it by creating a Home Screen replacement App.
I also know the bar can be hidden in ICS devices, but I need to work on Jelly Bean also.
Getting to the point:
I have recently come a Surelock (Home Screen App) version, strictly for Samsung devices, and this app manages to hide the bottom bar on the galaxy tab. Not only does it had their mini apps tray, it also hides the one where the Home button is, my question is how can they pull that off?
I have searched everywhere through Google and can't find that info, could someone please help me?
Summary:
- Hide bar on Samsung Devices programatically through my Home Screen device, without having to root the tablet.
PS: It is not impossible, if Surelock does it, it means it's possible : )
Hi guys, long time lurker.
So I've had this phone since last summer and I've been following this area for a while now looking for a way to root. But since my bootloader was locked I haven't had any luck.
Anyways, I really hate softkeys. They look ugly to me and since I'm right-handed, the placement of the back button the left has been very inconvenient. I've been using pie controls since my galaxy nexus and found it much easier to navigate.
I was wondering if there was any way to tweak the phone to either remove the softkeys permanently so I can just rely on pie controls. I know there are apps that temporarily do this, but another reason why I would rather have it permanently removed is so that my dock can align with the very bottom of the screen.
This question is kinda niche since I'm sacrificing more function for design and if pie controls crash I'll need to reset, but that's just how I am. I was just curious on what my options are. This phone is a beaut and it's a shame I can't root
Hi,
is there a way to get rid of the Navigation Line at the bottom of the Screen when using gesture mode? Asus unfortunatly doesnt give the option like Samsung for example to hide it.
im a noob and dont know if theme modification is a thing at all or if i must switch completely to a different OS
thank you very much!

unfortunately it is not possible to remove the pill by making Asus native gestures work. What is possible is to remove the pill (using the entire screen) and use gestures from third-party applications. For me it is the best option. root is required

On March 31, Asus released an update (WW-33.0804.2060.113) that allows you to hide the navigation bar. There's a new learning curve when navigating with gestures without the navigation bar, and after a month like that, I don't miss the navigation bar.

Using Nova, this comes with bugs. Sometimes clicking on apps in the dock, they're unresponsive

Can you please see if it's the same issue you're experiencing that I posted here?
Buggy navigation pill swipe from home on latest update
So, a week or so ago I've been forced to install an OTA update (despite disabling these in settings, because see this thread), and now my navigation is screwed up. Swiping right on the pill from any regular app correctly switches to the previous...
