Do you have the USB drivers installed for your device and is your device being recognized by Windows Device Manager? If you don't have the drivers installed for your device I would recommend installing them and if you can't find the specific USB drivers for your device I would recommend trying Koush's Universal ADB device drivers which can be downloaded from here.
I'm ignorant , there i said it. The flash tool is good and dandy, but why not just use something like ROMtoolboxpro, for the recovery install. The previous answer is good though, you need drivers, but I must ask, if you didnt have the drivers installed correctly, then how did you root????
i would suggest CWM app for recovery install, but it crashes on me. Like I said Iam ignorant because I don't know your device,

installed it - current Chinese software closes it everytime i open it - hence i desperately need to flash a new rom
You do understand you have to buy ROMtoolboxpro right?, if you purchase it, it shouldn't close automatically. Dude it is quick and it gets the job done.. Credit = whoever made this little "work of art"
EDIT: If your trying to flash a rom, why don't you just transfer it to your sd card and flash from recovery if you have recovery already?
OK , so my google skills suck today, but if you know Arabic ,this is perfect.

I am missing something really fundamental:
My Huawei is rooted (I think)
USB drivers are installed
Mobile is in USB debug mode (is that right?)
Mobile is connected
I have been working on this for days and seem to get further away not nearer
Someone mention Bootloader code - what the devil is that?? Anyone know?? Do i need one?
To install CWM on your phone ,First you need to unlock the bootloader ,you have to ask for this code in huawei website

http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=preUnlock English version
take a look here
Again, i found this by using "Google"

I tried a different rooting tool and it flashed CWM onto my phone
Actually managed to boot in recovery mode
Tried to flash a rom
Deleted cache and reset the phone
It tries to install the rom - verifies, etc then aborts - dang!
Same when i tried another rom
Same when i tried to install gapps package
Could it still have a locked bootloader if it's rooted with CWM installed?
That's what it looks like to me. Friends of mine say they always have issues with bootloaders. Since other models of that brand have them, then you should look for the correct code or a way to hack it.
How did you flashed CWM
Hi.
Could you tell me how did you flashed CMW, and for which specific version of the phone? There are two versions of Huawei G520:
- 5000 (chinese version with Mediatek processor)
- 0000 (occidental version with Snapdrago). I have this one.
Thanks

Guys i have few questions in my mind ..
Can any one please Guide me ?
Actually i wanna know if i root my Htc Hero now. i'll be still able to get OTA Update ? or not ? & later if i install official update 2.1 i'll loose my root access ?
Can i root Hero with 1click root method ?
Well, kind of stupid Que probably what are the difference between G1, G2, & G3 ? i know G1 is T-Mobile
Which recovery works for Htc Hero ?
So, i can install it & can root my Hero easily..
Also, when we installing Custom ROM flashing Radio/SPL is required or not ? Or just Install D ROM & We done ?
Please Help Thx in advance
If you flash a rooted custom ROM now, NO, you will not be able to get the official 2.1 using OTA.. So if you then want the official 2.1, you will need to use one of the RUU .exe files... and if you do use the RUU .exe, YES you will lose root and it might not be possible to get it back again.
The "one click root",.... don't know, give it a try?

The best custom recovery is AmonRa1.6.2.
It is best to have the latest radio as it improves things like wifi, network reception, gps. But you don't have to if you don't want to.
WARNING....Be patient when flashing a radio, interrupting the process before it has finished can brick your device.
Follow BTDAG's guide linked in my signature for all the instructions you could need.
First of all Thanks for Quick Replay ..
Can you provide me AmonRa1.6.2. Link ? would be very Thankful
Also, when we flash Radio we have to do it by Fastboot or Recovery ?
I heard ROM Manager is Great App which controls All ROM & which is very easy to use .. with this App i can use AmonRa1.6.2. ?
You flash radio through recovery, just like flashing a ROM.
Get AmonRa from here,.... [Recovery ROM] [07-Mar-2010] RA-hero-v1.6.2
Ive heard nothing but bad things about ROM manager. Id just stick to the usual if I was you.
Follow the guide I said earlier.
All right bro, one more Que is this Radio works on every countries and is it latest ? 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26
Thanks Once Again .. By the way what is ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU) Do ? Will it let me install Official ROM/Update in my Phone ?
Nope,... Latest is update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06OU_6.35.15.01-signed.zip (latest)
Unless you are on Orange UK,... If so, then use the one you said.
Thanks bro i was downloading the old one .. Didn't know about latest Radio .. now I' ll download this one ..
No i am not on Orange UK..
Hello when i flash radio if required do i have to flash it each and every Custom ROM ?
Suppose i install vanilla & flashed latest Radio & later i want to try aHero ROM
Do i have to Flash radio again ? Or Just the reboot into recovery Wipe whole thing and reboot my phone again & install Update.zip into SD Card and reboot in recovery & Flash aHero & I am Done Right ?

You update the radio once, if you want to change roms later on, save them to your sd card as Update.zip, boot into recovery and choose "flash zip from sd card"
The Rom you are trying, on the relevant forum they will advise if you should do a full wipe or not
All right Also do i have to rename radio to update.zip when i am flashing radio ? is it required ?
With the latest AmonRa you don't need to rename anything, as long as it is on the root of the SD it will find it.
Okay bro ..you helps me a lot
Also any thread there can i find how to make partition on SD Card ?
with AmonRa i can partition SD Card from the Menu of My Phone right ?
Because setting up ADB & doing by fastboot its very Complicated & Confusing to me.
what does USB - MS toggle do in AmonRa recovery Option ?
Guys my trackball is not working properly . it can works well left - right - up but down its not working .. sometimes it works but sometimes just causing me problem , i went to a shop 1month ago. the guy used some kind of gel or water to clean it & later it worked for 2weeks now again doing same thing .. without trackball i can't flash Custom ROM which is very sad.
is there any proper way that i can clean trackball ? most likely dust is there that's why i think
Use this video,...and use a cotton bud with a drop of white spirit or old aftershave on maybe?

Hi,
I am looking into getting a European ROM running on the sgs3 I bought here in China.
I tried downloading the official Samsung rom from UK, but I failed during installation of the modem part. It rendered my phone useless, and it took hours getting it back up with the kies and the official Chinese rom.
I used the software called Odin i believe, to attempt the update.
To me, it seems as if it is not that easy, maybe due to the modem thing, but can anyone verify that this will never work?
The main reason for applying a different rom is, that it seems that none of the Google apps are going to work. I can't install them, but they won't run. The apps seem to load, put with no message, it closes and the phone returns to the previous screen.
Anyone with any input on this?

Huum, but you were able to install Google Play? I already installed twice but the app keeps crashing everytime that I try to open it.
And I must say; I was frustrated to realize that my SGS3 didn't came with a SD card on it.
Hi,
I was able to install it yes, but have the same problem as you. It starts to load, and suddenly it just disappears.
No cash message, no nothing. That is why I think this is a limitation that is put there on purpose.

Hi,
Just for an update.
I was looking into getting a european rom on to my phone, but ended up doing a ROOT instead, and then install Google Apps.
Everything is just the way I like them now
To root and install CWM (Needed to install the Google Apps), i followed this guide:
*Can't link to the guide due to forum policies. PM me, and I will give you the link
After having downloaded the software neccesary, it took about 30 seconds for my phone to be ready.
I then did more or less as this guide *Can't link to the guide due to forum policies. PM me, and I will give you the link says.
With the only exception, that I copied the Google Apps zip-file to the SD card from Windows explorer, and bootet into recovery mode by holding the HOME, VOLUME UP and POWER button at the same time, after having powered off my phone.
Now, all the apps are working as I have been used to.
To solve your Problem and install official rom from Samsung to your phone you need to buy Odin Mobile.
For Chinese phone, when you use computer with odin, there is something that is blocked on the Phone so you cannot install any firmware from odin using the pc.
With odin Mobile u can flash >>>> personnally i flashed the one of Samsung GS3 HK because i still want to have some chinese stuff in my phone as i like to have.. And work perfectly !
Hope it will help you ! cordially!

But what I have done, is to find the modem-file for installation, and I am now using a rom called Omega, currently a version 19.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663656
First off, I install the ROM, and afterwards, I install the modem.
Everything seems to be working just fine.
The Omega rom, is the official Samsung rom, with some "hacks" - during installation you are for instance asked if you want the complete thing, or if you want to leave out all bloatware.
Official Samsung will no longer be available OTA, as the updating process detects, that the phone has been altered.
I live in China and own a SGS3 bought here in china. What you have to do is flash a kernel that is compatible with TRIANGLE AWAY to reset to zero the flash counter on the phone. Then you should be able to flash any original Samsung ROM made for the SGS3. If it doesn't work, you might also have to flash the stock XLH1 modem. Then it should work.
same problem

Hello thank's for your support. Are you sure that it will work with a Unicom brandet S3? I tried to flash it before, after this it doesn't work anymore. So i had to go to Samsung service point and pay to recover it. Thanks'
solution
Hello all,
i found the solution. The Chinese S3 has another boot sector, so it can't be flashed by Odin with any other firmware.
I found in a Chinese forum how to make it.
First you have to root, this was no problem.
You have to install mobile odin, because mobile doesn't flash the boot image.
Now you can copy any firmware to sd card and flash.
Best Regards

I have found a way to root the softbank p01d wich is in some aspects a similar phone. see link: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/naba_san/20120729/#1343534208
If there would be someone who can help, that would be really great!
And it would help other Panasonic eluga users too because there are already some topics asking for rooting.
Thanks
I was thinking: if I could make a custom recovery from clockworkmod custom recovery builder and root it
from there.
would this work? and how can I extract recovery.img from a non-rooted phone?
I know I could just take it from a downloaded firmware but as far as I know there are none on the internet.
thanks

Edit: I just found a japanese software update : panasonic.jp/mobile/support/fota/p04d/download.html
I downloaded it and extracted the *.dat file. In there are some files: mtd5 (320bytes), mtd6 (10MB), mtd8 (161Bytes), mtd9 (8.51MB),
mtd10 (207kb) and mtd13 (10.2MB). They have no extension and I can't open them.
I know they are partition files so I renamed mtd8 to mtd8.img (my guess for the recovery partition) and submitted it to the clockworkmod builder site.
Let's see if this could bring rooting the eluga a little closer
Update:
I have found the partitions of my phone :
Now i have to pull the original recovery from mmcblk0p11 (I think).
I tried it with: (in adb shell) /system/xbin/busybox dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/mnt/sdcard/recovery_main.img
But it doesn't work because it needs root for that
But I can access busybox because I accendently have been able to copy it to /system/xbin
Don't know how but it works and I can't copy any files to /xbin or /bin anymore. Otherwise it would be easy to root.
Any more help would be really helpfull because i'm not an expert modder. I know how to work with commands an adb though.
I also have a dualboot with ubuntu and windows so maybe if there are some linux tools that could do the trick...
thanks
Keep it up !
It seems that noone cares about dL 1. I would appreciate to take away the camera shutter sound and boost volume in music a bit if rooted.
Please post any updates !
I'll do that But at the moment it seems i'm the only one trying to root this phone
Anyway: Time for the next update:
With the X-ray security app I discovered that my device is only vulnerable to the levitator exploit.
so i made a script using that exploit:
Unfortunatly this is also giving me an error :crying: and this is the only exploit that "could" work.
So, I need some more help!
Also tried the m9.r00t.apk app (wich uses the levitator exploit). Nothing happens.
grtz
I tried every single exploit, including these:
d.hatena.ne.jp/isakulion/20120619/1340101173
www22108u.sakura.ne.jp/files/p01d/
And here is a wiki www34.atwiki.jp/eluga/pages/18.html
If I could just dump the default recovery, I could make a Clockworkmod recovery. The panasonic can flash a update from file storage.
so if I could convert that clockworkmod recovery to mtd11 and zip it in a *.dat file (standard file format for software update) I could flash it to the phone. And try to root it from there.
But first I need to dump the original recovery.
I could use some help
Next update:
I updated the ADB drivers from Superoneclick with those from the panasonic P04D ADB drivers.
Now it doesn't hang on step 7 but it installs busybox. But then the app freezes
Screenshots:
I also tried this method:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477752
I think my phone doesn't have fastboot I tried all button combo's but the only thing I can get into is stock recovery.
And if I type: fastboot devices, no device shows up.
@ Mods: maybe it's better to move this thread to here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=565

Hello,
where you able to root the Panasonic dL1 Eluga?
Android 4.0
Panasonic Germany twitter says me: Hello, we are expecting the end of October with an update. Maybe can arrange money for those who doing root for our device?
today i decided to buy this pretty phone for my lady .. because of the price and because as of today an ICS update is available ... but yes, a way to root it would be very nice :highfive:
it is possible to have root access with ics update? please check
ICS not working for me
Just tried running the Panasonic Eluga ICS update, and it tells me my phone is up to date (2.3.5), oh dear.....
uhm, cancel the ics update app and then re-install i hear that someone has this problem
news?
HI...i am the user of this model but the model name not same. so, the eluga ics update i cant to use, any one can send the elugaics update apk to me?:crying:
Eluga factory reset
Hi guys,
i got my eluga yesterday and ran straight into Problems. My SIM-Card i not recognized by my phone (But i know it works in other phones).
Then I tried to update the phone. At first the "smaller Gingerbread" update, which worked fine.
Still no change on SIM functionality.
After that I tried to get the ICS update running. Strange is, it downloads the package, but when going to instal it, suddenly it is not possible (research: Most others werent albe to download the package in the first place, their eluga said straight away it were up-to-date and stopped the update process).
I tried to do a factory reset with the function provided in settings. This resulted in a bootloop. It gets to the Lockscreen but i cant do anything and then it restarts over and over again. With holding the power button for a long time i am able to get it booting normal again. Just to see that nothing was done. The factory reset simply did nothing except for the bootloop and a cleared user space partition.
I wonder if theres a secret procedure to perform a reset on boot?
I also tried to gain root access but no luck so far...
With root i think the wipe could be done through adb right?
I have the suspicion that the "panasonic recovery" is damaged. This would in my noobish opinion explain why the factory reset goes wrong and the update stops when its intended to instal the rom (both actions update and reset are performed by a kind of recovery program right?).
Iam thankful for any Input

Hi mate the System UI Tuner appere on your device?
Ring R00T?
Does King R00T work? This would be my 1st choice.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
Avast! detects it as a PUP (POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAM) due to the exploit. And yes, avast!'s detection is correct, it is "Potentially" unwanted, you have the choice to have it ignored.
Also, I have the desktop version of King R00T installed into a netbook, so I don't have all the detection's going nutz, I do my R00T and jail brakes from the netbook.
Also, does the phone have an LED notification for calls/text/mail/charging on the front?

Avast! detects it as a PUP (POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAM) due to the exploit.

King R00T is for Chinese phones, by Chinese people, who live in China .... :silly:
Use the desktop version as it has better exploit ability's. It works on most Chinese phones that I R00T, the last Chinese phone I did (THL T7) it was flawless.

many thanks for your remarks. I'm going to test it as soon as my phone arrives.
on needrom I read that some people have some problems. the touchscreen is not responding or they lost their IMEI.
were you faced with any problems quite like this?

Sorry, for the post, I figured out my own question ... :silly:
Hi, does the bootloader need to be unlocked before flashing the TWRP and if so why is there no mention of this? Thanks!
Gyro installed incorrectly.
There is a possibility that a large production run is defective.
This defect may be in all the phones produced.
The gyro was installed incorrectly and the pitch and roll are swapped.
Check your phone and report this problem to Blackview.

i got pixel 6 and I've been planning to sell it, i tried to lock the bootloader but the commend didn't work i don't know why. After that i was trying to re flash the stock ROM via fastboot mode but for some reason flashing process aborted at particular point and phone wasn't booting, kept in bootloop .. google logo then restart and it went on.
after that i made a mistake which was i attempted to re lock the bootloader while phone was in bootloop and the process completed successfully.
now I'm not able to flash anything via fastboot as bootloader is locked and it's cannot get unloaded ..
is there anything i could do to reflash the stock image in this state? phone now doesn't boot .. only google logo the it restarts it self

Try sideloading the OTA. Also, if you still have OEM unlocking enabled in Developer Options you can try using Android Flash Tool.

Android Flash Tool can't be used on a locked bootloader. That being said, it's the best way to return the phone to stock state.
Sideloading the OTA is the only possibility of restoring the device in this situation. I don't think the Pixel Repair Tool works with the Pixel 6 yet.
Try booting to recovery mode and perform a factory reset.
Lastly...A "bricked" device is completely unresponsive. If the device boots, the screen works, and can be forced into bootloader/fastboot/recovery, it's not bricked.

All you need is OEM Unlocking enabled to use Android Flash Tool. You don't actually have to have your bootloader unlocked. The Flash Tool will do it for you.

No kidding? I wasn't aware of that!
Doesn't help in this situation, sadly.

I've tried sideloading the latests ota file but then the process got aborted.
it showed: failed to verify whole file signature.
I've tried both latest stable ota " Androd 12 " and beta as well

Sideload the OTA. Make sure your Platform Tools are up-to-date. Make sure you are sideloading the OTA and not the factory image and it's the correct OTA for your device. Try different cables and ports. Re-download in case your original download got corrupted.

already tried sideloading different ota versions, different ports and cables as well. There's no point
Have you tried the Android Flash Tool?
I don't know if it would work since I believe locking the bootloader also disables OEM Unlocking, but it's worth a try.
hello guys
I fixed the pixel
ٖ:
The problem was mostly from the laptop
I used an Bugjaeger Mobile ADB - USB OTG app and install beta update from adb update recovery
thanks
