Different way to install Motorola drivers? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello everyone ,
I'm not new on this forum ain't no noob too .
I've tried installing the Motorola drivers on my windows 7 laptop but still when i connect my phone to the laptop it doesn't install any drivers at all .
So what my question is :
Is there any way to install drivers through sdk or eclipse . I just want my phone to be get recognised by my laptop
Edit : yeah i tried it even on xp and windows 8 , none of them worked for me but my friend laptop is recognising my RAZR using same data cable . Any help would really be appreciable.
Thx in advance

I've had similar issues getting a pc to recognise my xt910. Im pretty sure it comes down to different usb manufacturer chips used on the pc.
I came to this conclusion after reading up on rsdlite user manuals from Motorola.
One thing is for certain not all computers will recognise our phones, sadly its a case of hit and miss.
Sorry dude keep trying till you find a machine that works

ODIN does NOT recognize my Droid Charge
Fist of all let me tell you what I have done to resolve this on my own:
Uninstalled/Re-installed the drivers for the Droid Charge
Put device into USB Debugging mode
Unknown sources are checked
Power cycled
Uninstalled/re-installed ODIN
Tried different pc's (all Windows)
Tried different USB ports on all of the pc's I have used
Factory reset on the device
I have read blogs that other people are having this same issue, suggested those troubleshooting steps, they did not work for others but hey I might get lucky right? And this is still a no go, so could someone PLEASE provide me with the correct troubleshooting steps to take to resolve this?

[Q] Help please ? USB drivers WinXP

Well I finally got a computer, a windows xp (yeah,yeah::Im behind times-it was free) anyways, Ive been out of the loop I suppose for some time now and Ive got 2 phones, one is bricked the other is running oxygen 2.3.2 (2.4). I have old baseband, and want to give new baseband a try...Ive been dying to get on board with lupohirp's cm9...The only problem Im seeing right now is this POS computer doesnt recognize the device (phone) that's being attached to it...Does anyone have a link for usb drivers so I finally get this phone hooked to the computer and run KDZ for the bricked and LGMDP tools for switching basebands ? Any help or direction is graciously appreciated ...Hell I know this POS cant do much but atleast I can unbrick one phone and switch BB on the other
Download pdanet to get the drivers.

Windows 8 + RSD = Oh my.

I recently upgraded from a craptop to a lovely Windows 8 Touch Screen Laptop. I love it to death.
...But RSD can't see anything on it no matter how many times I install and uninstall the drivers or what version of the drivers I use. Fastboot works fine - everything syncs up and I can use fastboot/adb commands and whatnot with Atrix, X2, RAZR, RAZR M... but none of them will show up in RSD. I've tried every version I can get my hands on too. Has anyone figured this out?!
P.S. I've tried in a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port and neither work.
I have read Windows 8 gives a lot of problems and I'm not sure if it has been solved yet. I dont have windows 8 so I dont know for sure. I would try and get to a computer with an older version of windows on it. Or maybe a Virtual Machine? I dont know. Thats the problem with using an OS that is new and not a lot of people have yet.
Finding any drivers for Win8 is a massive pain in the ass. Messing with anything other than the basic interface is a practice in futility.

I have Windows 8 and RSD lite 4.5 works fine. Did you download the Motorola tools. There is a sticky thread that has a link to a zip with RSD and both 32 and 64 bit versions of thr USB installs.

I have Windows 8, and i haven't had a problem with it yet.
RSD works fine for me on Windows 8.
You probably screwed yourself on the drivers. Go to device manager and remove all the USB and other drivers related to your device , then re-install using moto tools.

Re-Install The Device Drivers For Android, If It Didn't Help Then Try Using A PC That Have Freshly Installed Windows. That Will Help You To Recognize Device.
Second Issue Is Low Battery Cannot Program. Try Using The Factory Cable. That Will Bypass That Thing. (Factory Cable Is Cable That Have 5 Wires Inside Cord.)
