[Q] Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Jelly Bean 4.3

HI,
I have updated Jelly Bean 4.3 update on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and since I am facing issue battery drain issue. I have not downloaded any application which can take more battery but still phone is running slow and battery drained frequently.
Secondly, I have tried to uninstall Hangouts to get Gtalk back but still I am not getting option to get it back.
Can someone please help me to resolve above issues and also confirm if possible to get Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Thanks and regards,

Google changed the name of gtalk to Hangouts so there is no going back on that app. Also 4.1.2 android has a wifi issue on some note 2`s. Is the 4.3 rom you have custom IE Cyanogenmodand such? 4.3 was just released for Note 2 (L900) It can be updated at Samsung experience booth at Best Buy.

Avoid using any rom beyond 4.4. I have a shw-m250s(converted to i9100) and it Overheated on every single KitKat Rom (cm11,omni,pa etc).
Tried formatting and everything didnt make a difference. Stick to 4.3 romsA etc (cm has stopped development and last nighlies seemed unstable).

I9300 won't be getting stock 4.4, custom rom can't use the hardware as well.

[Q] Updating Rom

Hi
I have managed to root my Samsung Galaxy s2 and install a custom rom, I havn't got a clue what rom it is I think its jelly bean, how can I tell (I think there is a mention some where of jaboo)? Is it possible to update to the latest KitKat version or one that is similar/recommended, without wiping everything off my phone as its such a pain reinstalling all my apps etc?
