I was trying earlier and I guess its not available for this Phone. You have to do the power and home button trick. That sucks!

Could you please explain just how to 'turn it on'
And how to do a palm swipe screenshot?
This will be useful to other new users too and a great reference.
Thanks a... And I've added a thanks to Kangburra!
I didnt turn nothing on. Its already on. All you have to do is swipe but make sure the sensors up by the camera see the tips of your fingers.

Okay,
Sorry for those who already know this feature, but for those who dont. If you want to take a picture of your screens just do the following;
what ever screen your on, simply hold down the power button then press home. This will let you take a picture of any screen your on.
Doesn't work on my 3d

You're doing it wrong then. Hold the power button, and after holding it for not even a second, tap the home button, and it'll flash and make a shutter effect.

lots of people dont even realize that this function is built-in so they dont realize that they can search for something like this.
I admit, prior to reading this thread, I didn't realize that there was built in screen shot functionality.

Rooting doesn't give you any "features", it only lets you grant special permissions to apps. The timing for screenshots is super easy.

Flashed it last night and has been working great. ^_^
Only issue I've seen was the ones they listed where I can't use the back button but doesn't affect functionality at all

Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do but particularly the improved voice search function is pretty sweet. It's nice to be able to give the phone more natural commands and have it pick up on it. It also doesn't seem as impaired by rushed pronunciation as 4.0 and below.

No matter what I say, when I tap the mic or hold down search and it auto mics, if i say anything it always does web search. Never commands for anything. Cant create new calendar entry, cant text, etc.

Hey guys so I got my N2 yesterday and I'm loving it so far!
I have already rooted, unlocked and put a custom rom on, but I think this was happening out of the box as well.... Does anyone else get a delay when you press the power or home button to wake up the phone? I usually press the button and then the screen will come on about a second later.
Is this normal? Thanks!

Im using Adam's rev3 with all the options enabled under the lock screen.. no lag of any kind here.
I'm running Beans Build 3 with the stock kernel. I'm not running power save mode and unchecking all the lock screen options didn't help.

It's just a small delay. When I press the power button it will take a quick second for the screen to come on so I can unlock the phone.

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
this is how all the notes i've used have been.
This is a common occurrence; press the power button and it takes a second or so for the screen to come on (whereas on most phones it would be instantaneous). I have seen many people say that they have this issue. I have it as well. I had it on stock and I have it on Beans v3. It would seem that it is just a quirk of the phone.
Sent from my SCH-I605
Ok thanks guys for the responses! I'm assuming that this can be easily fixed with a software update right? It's not a big deal either way but I just wanted to make sure that it was normal.

I have read something on this. I am a little vague on it and need to find the thread again, because I have this as well. I have been too lazy to fix it.
I believe is has something to do with a double click option. When you press the power or home button to wake it up it waits a brief second in case another click comes. If you turn off this feature it will wake faster.
I could be way wrong but I think I read about it a while back.
