Imma ask this once and I promise im not gonna ever ask again. Is anyone working on the hdmi/samsung dock problem? Everything else is beautiful....these roms (all the stuff in the original threads) are the only ones that have bluetooth working with the motorola sd10 in both modes!
:good: AOKP rocks. Now if only I could get GPS, WIFI and BT to work at the same time... it would be a miracle!
I've been using this ROM for a few days now. Best 4.2 ROM hands down. Not sure what I will do with myself now that I don't have to flash every day .
Great job guys!!

First off, thank you for the wonderful rom. This was the first rom that I flashed and looks so much more wonderful than the stock.
Just had a question if everyone else has a gap between the top info bar and the next icons below that? It is about one 1x4 worth of space and wondering if there is a fix for this?
Thanks again for the rom!
Can you take a screenshot?

Did you install a custom recovery? If yes, boot to recovery is volume+ / home / power.
I don't believe so. It only shows the odin downloading mode when I use that 3 button combo.
I'm trying to start over, but don't know how to start over now. Is there a way I can install a boot to recovery from the flash rom that I just performed?

Volume UP not down in that combo. Plus if you're in the rom already just use the reboot menu?......

Yea, people told me the down volume, but finally read up even more and found that it was up volume. There are lots of directions out there, but I wish it was a little bit easier to do all this.
All these programming is much appreciated and simplified once all is read very carefully, but need to be a little more combined into one directory step by step. Not at all whining about the extent of how to root, flash, and recover, but for a newbie like myself, I had to open many many tabs to go about some of these steps.
I rooted my phone, got team wiz going, wiped data to factory, wiped dz also, installed [ROM][OFFICIAL][4.2.2] AOKP :: JB-MR1 :: i605, then installed the gapp. and now trying to see how to root this rom so I can access rom manager and titanium backup.
Thank you all for replying and helping out others.

Ok guys, first of all I have to say that you cannot access recovery without something like quickboot -or- rom manager so please get your preferred app for this.
I AM NOT LIABLE IF YOU SOMEHOW MANAGE TO **** UP A ONE CLICK APP! Do not ask me for support. Learn something and fix it yourselves.
Next, I will say that AlbertWertz will be making a video, but this is -really- simple.
All you do is click the button corresponding with what you want to flash.
I will work on aesthetics later but for now, it works, checks md5's, and flashes the images.
Problems:
None with my app, however there are sure to be a few bugs on the recovery. Also: this flashes to internal, that's why I included a reset to stock button!

Also if we flash the CWM from xboxes thread do we need to uninstall it then flash this one?
Oops! No one could have flashed the stock recovery back because of the simple screwup I did. I didn't have a properly named file. ^_^ Anyway, it was fixed.

It was still uploading. It's done now.
Also no, you shouldn't have to uninstall his CWM. It's the same image, just simply flashes over the old one. It just helps to be able to flash whatever whenever you need it.
dumb question
which one is better to flash, or can you do both
and then switch between on boot
cuz on my xperia x10, i can switch between, both on boot...
Stock recovery is what you need if you plan to use the unroot method, etc. CWM is used for custom software / firmware flashing...No, you can't switch between. You flash CWM if you want to flash zips and if you want to have stock recovery again which doesnt give you a menu, you flash stock.
I'll probably end up packaging my root mods into the flashable zip. I'll see if cfoesh or whatever wants to package up snowball mod.

Hey, wanted to say thanks and wanted to say this: flashed CWM and at first I couldn't access recovey with n+Power, but now I can. Tried shutting down and then n+Power, nothing. Then used ROM Manager's "reboot into recovery" and it booted like normal instead of going to recovery.. then ROM Toolbox and used and "shutdown"... Started back up with n+Power and it worked. Tried again a few times with normal boots and shutdowns, then n+Power and it goes to recovery.. Hoping I remembered exactly what I did but hey, it works like it should on any device now
EDIT-Oh, apparently if I let go of the power button too quick then it doesn't go into recovery... just tried again with quick letoff and booted normal even though I had the 'n' button firmly pressed the whole time.. Gave it a 2 second count next time before letting go and went into recovery

Yes I have that on my Asus transformer, like you say it has all the different options in one popup menu. Much more straight forward
Thing is, if it's a sizeable thing to code, is it going to be worthwhile considering cm7/9 is hopefully not far away ?
I know CM9 development seems to have halted (nothing updated on OP in a decent while) but it could still be a lot of work for something that will only be used for a very short period of time.
technically, i should be able to use this to flash back to "complete stock" (including removing cwm)?
It's used to either flash over stock recovery, or over CWM. Depending on which option you choose. It's the same process, just different files. That's it.
Fantastic work. You've made it easy to do and I thank you!

Working with a net--restore is working!
Many thanks to bauwks, nemith, goncezilla, and indirect for bringing clockwork mod to the NT. I'm a thorough-going noob and always will be, so I've been waiting for a custom recovery so I could have a nandroid backup to save my hide (and my ui) when I go a-themin'.
For example, I just hacked up my framework-res to try to get rid of some horrible list separators, which of course completely broke the tablet. Power-N, restore from internal sd card, and I'm ready to break things again.
Thanks!
After some hours of learning the Asus blob system, I have finally got the latest OTA packaged properly.
Thanks to the Virtuous Team for their updater-script that I started with.
If you download this, please click "thanks" for the chances I took on bricking my device to make this for us.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device due to flashing this.
That said, I am writing this post on my prime which is running this firmware and working well.

This ROM is completely stock 9.4.2.15 except for:
Rooted
Insecure Boot.img (Allows the system to be mounted writable)
ADB debugging enabled (Allows running logcat if needed)
Instructions
Make sure your Prime is unlocked and you have CWM installed (see this thread for help and a handy tool to do that)
Shut down the prime
Hold both the Power-button and the Volume-down button until the splash screen appears and some white text in the left top corner is visible
Release both buttons and press the Volume-up button
The device now boots into your CWM recovery
Make a backup of your current ROM
Inside CWM select "wipe data/factory reset" (Optional but highly recommended)
Then flash the rom zip as usual
Then flash the Accounts & Sync fix zip as usual

I realize that "wipe data" has become the catch-all cure for custom rom issues, but why is this a required step for what's essentially a stock rom when the locked bootloader version doesn't need to wipe data?
I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering why this is a required step (instead of an "if you have problems try wiping data" step)?

I say that to limit issues. You can try it without wiping and then wipe if you have problems. I flashed it over 11.1 and it worked but it seems to run better when installed fresh so I'm re-setting up my apps.

Certainly an easy way to update the kernel, but based on the ways the Prime seems to manage to get bricked even after the user follows instructions to a T I am worried that including the kernel may cause you and the users a big headache if things go awry.

I've tested it a couple of times on mine. I removed the recovery and bootloader blobs from it so it just basically puts the boot.img in the staging partition and installs it on reboot just like CWM or any other blob. I doubt that anyone could brick with this since it's only touching the boot partition.
Hey,
once we got some successful kernel flash reports, do you mind if I take a look at your updater-script for the kernel thing?

Ah, that is an excellent idea
Calling dd via busybox should work
It just seems the in-built CWM functions for flashing stuff doesn't work at all for the kernel blob.
Thanks, once confirmed, I'll add it to my ROM too

If you have flashed this, please post and confirm that it installed the ROM and kernel fine for you.

post this in Q&A, not here. also in nook tablet general i believe there was a guide how to get it to stock. and what rom were you using? all cm10 roms, and several cm9 roms will reboot occassionally, its a 3.x kernel issue. use chrmhoffmann's CM9 for one with no reboots, or you have to use cm7 (android 2.3)
Link is still down.
Just a thought why not pm the Dev instead of repeatedly posting in a thread he may or may not look at any time soon

When this came up for me, I couldn't get it to restart - wouldn't boot at all.
parted.img didn't work (unbrick method) - tried CWM SD card - no dice.

I'll try that - next time it happens.
Too late now, though. I have a different Nook Tablet.
Funny - but the B&N tech person didn't suggest this.
By the way - this happened when I tried restoring with the parted.img brick fix. It didn't unbrick my nook (which was stuck going to CWM Recover - couldn't get past it).

Under Th3Bill
wow great job, I'm happy to review the Paranoid, thanks Th3Bill, I hasten to download and test it
Thanks a lot for the new version of my favourite ICS rom! Can't donate as I don't have paypal, but rest assured I will click on your ads everyday
Ok....don't download for a little while. I have to re-upload the rom. I made a boo-boo, which will result in tablet mode not initiating properly. I just fixed it on my phone, and it is SWEET!!!
Hi Bill, the process com.android.phone stopped unexpectedly on first boot bug is still there. I tried to fix it using the previous webcorefix.zip but it just stuck on the boot animation screen.

GSM or CDMA?
com.phone wouldn't be webcore...
If you can get me a logcat output, that'd be great. I have flashed this 3 times clean over the last few hours. I use CDMA and have had NO issues.

I am using GSM. Is my way of creating a logcat output correct? I reinstall the rom, get the error msg, set usb debugging on and charge only, connect phone to computer, and use adb logcat on my command prompt?
Anyway the reason I thought the webcorefix fix the issue is because it worked for me on Paranoid Android 1.1. After flashing that, no more error messages.
Edit : Not sure where did I do wrong, I use adb logcat > logcat.txt but it kinda stuck there not moving. Am using the android-sdk from my previous Xperia Play flashing days.
Edit 2 : I got the logcat.txt after I got bored waiting and disconnect, hope its complete. Anyway, the phone doesn't detect any network after the phone process fc

If you have root explorer, go to build.prop to the line:
ro.telephony.default_network=7
change the 7 to 0
then reboot
go dialer put in *#*#4636#*#*
go to phone info
make sure it says GSM auto
reboot
I'll up a fix in a few mins once the re-up of this is finished.

Booting problem
Hello all,
I am not sure this is the right place for this but I can't get this to boot. I thought I had everything rooted, unlocked and latest version of clockwork recovery installed. This install doesn't make it past the dual core boot screen. I have tried this several times even with a different kernel and no luck. CM7 installs just fine. I may be missing something. Any help is appreciated.

When Aroma begins to install...watch it very carefully...if it goes through it really fast, it's because you have an unreported error in CWM. You need to go to Advanced menu, select Report Error, then select Show Log, then Reboot Recovery, then make sure you have at least 75% battery (if not, plug it in to the wall outlet...NOT A PC), then flash the rom

I didn't notice this was AROMA. I have been wiping before install. That could very well be my problem. Thank you.
You might also want to be on jokers recovery or TWRP. The cwm from rom manager app doesn't work for us

I flashed it, it booted into android fine but every time I selected start on the first setup screen it would reboot. Now I can't get into recovery, however I have a broken power button which might be causing complications. I'm working on getting back into recovery but this is an old phone so if I don't get it working, its no big deal.

Damn that is horrible. Power button doesn't work at all? Have you trye taking it apart and cleaning the contactors? What recovery do you have? Is there only one option? can you op to setup gapps later? You can always try using fastboot to get in there.

I have taken the phone apart but I still couldn't get the power button to work. Anyhow, I just got everything restored and I'm going to try flashing it again.
Okay, I just flashed the rom this time. It boots into android but when I try to open any app, the phone reboots.

haha you have balls Ill give you that! Had me worried hate to brick someones device. Could you possibly logcat it? I think I need to change the tool chain compiling the kernel googles using 4.7 now and I'm not sure cyanogen is ready out of the box for it. Ill try with 4.6 tomorrow.

I cant get into settings to turn on usb debugging because the phone restarts every time I open settings. Is there any way to make a logcat in this situation?

See if you can download catlog and get the log that way for him.
Good luck.

I got a soft brick. Good thing I had a Jtag because I could not even get into download by button combination.
You may want to check and see if the i777 repo has even been updated to a useable state, as it had not been a few days ago when I last checked.
The kernel works but the ROM itself doesn't do much.
I have ported the CM 10.2 unofficial build pulled from GT-I9100 forum and I flashed it. All I can say is it worked fine but still is unstable..highly unstable. I used d default kernel and changed the modules and keypad script. It booted well and was fast. But phone heating issue and couple of FC's us what I encountered. And battery life issues.

Not sure what caused it. I had installed GAPPS with all the extras. Next time I try I will just install the ROM and the GAPPS core. Then the extra stuff one at a time. Believe me I started getting nervious when I could not get into download by button combo. I started breathing easy when I found my Jtag pluged it in and went rite to download on power up.
Anyone know why the rom was pulled?

TRIM would not be implemented on anything for our device. The SII version of CM10.2 and anything based off of CM10.2 trees would not contain TRIM.
I haven't made any calls but I sure hope I'm not having mic issues on 4.0 because voltage control is a really big deal to me and I don't want to upgrade.
Could someone explain why TRIM wouldn't be good for our devices?

I've had the same thing, doing pretty much nothing!
Fresh install, wiped everything, from system to memory card, plugged into USB transferring some files and BOOM, brick. Wipe again, reinstall, continue copying some files and brick again.
Needless to say I am sticking to 10.1 for a while longer.
