I tried to flash the viperom rom on my HTC one in clockwork recovery, and it said everything was done. i then rebooted my phone where it stayed on the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen. i have tried getting into recovery mode, but i can't. i have tried shutting off the phone, but i can't. I am also on a mac, which doesn't make things any easier!
Any help is much appreciated! :good:

This happened to me as well but with another rom. Here is what I did to finally boot up. Hope this helps. If not try another rom.
1. Re-download the rom.
2. Boot into recovery
3. Wipe factory reset
4. Install ROM
5. Install GAPPS
6. Wipe dalvik cache
7. Reboot Phone

Hi guys I received a Refurbed phone today and unlocked my phone. I have tried both Tenfars and the RomManager version of recovery on my phone. When I boot up my phone says Unlocked and if I choose to I can enter fastboot or recovery without issue. The problem comes when I try to flash a rom.
After doing the standard Factory reset, wipe cache wipe dalvik, I reboot and then get stuck on the Dual core screen. I have waited more than five minutes on this screen with no luck. Any suggestions?
I have tried both Aura and Darkside in the same manner as described above.
Thanks much!
You may NOT wipe Factory Reset after flashing a rom... maybe its that the problem...
1.- Wipe Data/Factory
2.- Wipe Cache
3.- Flash your desired ROM
4.- Reboot
Try it in that order...

Yeah I always do all of the wipes before the rom... It ended up being fixed by reflashing RomRacers recovery. Thanks
So... I got my HTC One today and it's been a very difficult experiance. I am quite a newbie when it comes to rooting and such but I managed to unlock my bootloader (with the exception that it shows TAMPERED at the top) then proceded to flash TWRP through fastboot. TWRP wouldn't mount /data, /sdcard, etc... it wouldn't work. A little bit of searching led me to flash CWM instead and that seemed to work.
In CWM I wiped data/factory reset, then flashed SuperSU, then flashed CleanROM, then flashed BulletKernel, and finally reboot. Now I'm stuck in a bootloop and when I go to my bootloader and try to enter recovery it reboots, shows the CWM logo then reboots my phone. I tried re-flashing CWM via fastboot to no avail.
TL;DR: Phone is in bootloop and won't even boot into recovery
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thank you!
EDIT: Had a feeling it was due to the fact I didn't clear cache/dalvik cache before rebooting. I erased my cache via fastboot and voila it booted into recovery!

Boot into bootloader. Then do fastboot erase cache. Then try rebooting. If you can get into recovery but not ROM, reflash the ROM. If you can't even get into recovery still, try reflashing recovery. Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. Then try getting into recovery and reflashing.

Hi I have attempted to install experience rom on my xperia U. Firstly i successfully unlocked the boot loader. I then rooted it and installed CWM recovery all still good. I the transferred the ROM image to the phone went into recovery did a wipe data factory reset and wipe cash partition. Also wipe dalvick cache. Selected the ROM and install started, it hung, only way out was battery pull, I went back into recovery same thing happened, finally tried once more and it hung at about 75%. Now phone goes in a loop sony logo to black screen and I cant get into recovery mode. I have searched to see if I can find a way out but not found a way around it yet. I would be very grateful for any help with this.

flash stock ICS Rom ftf with flashtool
Thanks for help
Thanks I managed to flash stock Gingerbread in the end.
In case anyone else has a similar problem here is a handy guide I found. (youtube.com/watch?v=hPPWRXcsz7g)
Where it says connect phone I found you need to connect it in fast boot (hold volume up button as you connect it) when the software is ready to flash un-plug phone then connect in flash mode (hold volume down button as you connect).

Flash stock firmware.
Install fastboot drivers.
Flash SlidingXU in cmd
Try out Zperience or TheBrainsRom following factory data reset, wiping cache and dalvik cache.
I was trying to flash CM and made the stupid mistake of only flashing the boot.img and now my dna repeatedly restarts and won't get past the droid light thing. The rom files and gapps are not on my sd card. I can't get a connection to adb and my computer doesn't see the device. ADB will recognize the device at one part during the bootloop but says "offline" right next to it. I'm s-off (moonshine), rooted, and have CWM recovery. I've tried wiping the cache, dalvik cache, and tried a factory reset. None of those worked. If I lose this phone I'm really screwed, is there no way to get out of this?

Boot in CM recovery and there is an option to connect the phone to the computer as a USB. There you can put the rom files etc and flash it again.

I ended up fixing the problem by finding out what sideloading is and sideloading the rom/gapps. Thanks for the help though!
Hello guys, so previously I was on nameless rom 4.4, and i wanted to change my recovery from cwm recovery to twrp recovery. So I used this app from the playstore to do it TWRP Manager app. Anyways this app seemed pretty buggy to me, and it was requesting me to install busybox, so i just followed the instructions. Anyways, after it had finished installing twrp, I wanted to test it out. So, when i tried to reboot in recovery, the phone is now stuck on the samsung logo. Cant even boot normally. What should i do now?

Try and reboot into recovery holding up power and home keys then wait galaxy s3 to be displayed then the phone should boot into recovery. From there do a wipe data factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache. I would recommended using the latest Clockworkmod recovery as it seems reliable. You can install it using Rom Manager from Play Store, as long as you have root follow the necessary instructions to flash the recovery.

You may need to flash back to stock using Odin then re rooting again.
so i should flash the latest stock rom (4.3) for my region using odin? like this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/restore-to-stock-rom-galaxy-s3-i9300-t2187081
fixed using odin, though rather sad that my internal sd got wiped as well

Glad it's fixed I would recommend not to use apps from playstore to flash recoveries or roms seen nothing but trouble from them.Either use Odin or custom recovery to flash to avoid trouble in the future.
