I was doing some research into porting it and got some good feedback/suggestions here, but until I actually get an amaze in my hands to play with I won't share the miui rom I've been trying to work on.. I was buying one on xda, but that didn't work out so I am looking on ebay/craigslist
I've been playing phone tag with a guy on craigslist all morning about buying his amaze, but he seems a little sketchy.. if you are a little tech savvy you could definitely take the advice from that thread above and build on top of the miui for sensation with some of the stock files, watch the logcat, and maybe get a mostly functional rom..
BUMP!!! hopefully one day someone will take up the mantle and get us this! me and mike really need this LOL

the only thing i regret about getting this phone is no miui or at the very least cm7! i agree with you, miui is the best rom ever! this sense bs is garbage! when i bought this phone, i thought it would be like the early days with my mt4g, but then i got spoiled by miui and never looked back

i like miui but honestly i think aosp is better. i feel like its quicker and to the point. Just like linux

miui is aosp, with a twist
In order to have MIUI stable we'd need to have CyanogenMod stable first. Miui relies on the CM source.

^ speaks the truth, BUT i think x is working on cm9 and so are the guys over on the vivid forums as well. correct me if im wrong, but if the vivid guys can get a stable build, we have a good chance of getting a stable port (if not our own build)...

100% Correct. Although i thought X was working on an AOSP ICS rom...either way, i know X will make our dreams come true
X is working on an aosp rom based on a different set of sources than CM9.

on a side note, i love my miui lockscreens so now im using milocker and you can use all the mtz lockscreens. only thing i wish it did is block sms pop ups. try it out...oh, and exdialer replicates the miui dialer as well

they already have a sense 3.5 with android 2.3.7 stable build, why arent any of the devs working on sense 3.5 havent port any yet?

no he did not leave us, as fact he says he likes better the amaze than the skyrocket,
x did not leave us and still working hard to get things right,
and now its with less time when he have to go to school and now that he haves a new job.

But since the designated ALL ICS thread is so cluttered. I felt compelled to ask on a separate thread because this is a real issue.
When I saw a video demonstration that Samsung and Google did about ICS... I saw much more attractive features than I have received with my current update.

#1 i am developing cm9,AOKP and an stock AOSP rom for the phone and you can do this by just taking apks from the cm9 nightlies and replacing the ones in here

HTC really found a way to destroy the fantastic features of ICS....

As soon as someone gets the leak deodexed I'll be working on a very slimmed down sense that will be very much like Aosp. I'm already running the stock launcher with aosp apps and much of Sense taken out. I just can't really distribute it until a deodexed version is made first.

See... I knew there was a reason to why I like you so much (not in a sexual way or anything) .... I just spent a sh!t load of money on lock screens and phone dialers lol....

He has the KozmiKRuby Alpha v0.1 download link on his twitter page if you're interested in testing..
I flashed it over a modified energy rom, and the only thing that wasn't working for me was wifi.. the overclock is buttery smooth, no heatup, I'm leaving it on- I've tested everything else I can, and everything else seems to work fine(bluetooth, calling, data, etc).

Ill say it again.
Show me a fully functional AOSP ics rom.
Driver issues, Rosie (HTC crap) issues.
As with many devices you're only going to get a half ass version of Google's latest OS.
Only reason we have any ICS based Roms on Amaze is because HTC actually did all the work.
Sorry I respect Hasoon, Whatever that young kid that got chased off, and others amazing work on the handcuffed Amaze. Its just that frankly these threads are full guys begging for ETAs and the devs saying hold your horses! Almost there! When the reality is OEMs have sucked the open out of AOSP. There's very little one can do without climbing massive hurdles anymore. Just face it.
If I'm off base or if there's some spectacular change in reasoning as to why JB will be any different ..please correct me as I'd love to be wrong.
I'm not gonna sell my phone ether I had a buyer but changed my mind at the last min. Hopefully cm9 or 10 is not that far behind...

A kernel dev named kozmikkick said he will have us an overclocked sense kernel likely by tomorrow or Thursday.. but we still need to find someone who develops aosp kernels. And I'm pretty sure the wifi thing won't be the biggest issue.. the workarounds used in the past will likely work this time around too.

Its a nice ROM based on AOKP,CM10 and Paranoid. I found it by accident searching goo.im. Just thought I would let other people know so that more people could get involved with finding and ironing out the bugs.
So far, I get lots of AOKP settings and mods, but no force close errors when the signal drops, which is what happens on the unoffical AOKP for our amaze.
The developer has also added offical amaze 4g support. So it looks like we will be getting all of the latest updates.

Interesting, the relase type for the Ruby is "Stable" which would lead me to believe that everything works. If that's true, then I wonder if any parts of this rom would help solve the last few issues of CM10.

Its a trusted dev i was running jellybam on my samsung vibrant and it was pretty much pacman rom but a couple minor differences.
I would imagine that if you wanted to install this just to be safe flash the mk4 kernel from cm10 after this then you would be ok. Worst case scenario it would just boot loop? Correct me if im wrong?

There is a conversation about it and its not sounding too pretty. Go read the threads about what people say about it.
dont know what all the fuss is about... I flashed it, and it booted and I loved the added features. The only bugs i ran into is a force close with spirit fm radio that comes installed with it and a force close of the gallery.apk if i try loading the camera from the side button. Choosing camera from the app drawer works though. The Rom uses 4.2 apps it seems. So i am not a fan of the 4.2 clock/alarm app. (i hate the sudden loud alarm in the morning. i prefer the increasing alarms that are a little more gentle. CM10's alarm app has this feature.) The camera is the standard 4.2 mod going around. but all in all, I love the AOKP mods eg center clock, miui battery bar, etc. I wasnt able to get the paranoid settings to work, but most if not all of the AOKP settings/mods and the CM10 settings/mods work. I have returned to CM10 till the camera butto issue gets sorted out (probably an easy fix). But i will flash it and post some pics for you guys in a bit.(gotta go watch the series finale of Fringe!!)

Plz dnt be get wrong I just want you to say that this Rom can be a great Rom for us there is no doubts that viper is a great Rom but I always getting rendom reboot I dont know why and I never face that issue on this rom

I think this is based of one of Sports and them's Sense 4.1 roms with a Sense 5 skin. Could even be based of team Viper's ROM.
