UK Vodafone v1650 with Orange SPV3100 ROM - Will it work?

Hi folks, I've read through the Wiki and threads but I'm unsure if I can flash my recently bought V1650 with the Orange SPV3100 ROM. Can anyone tell me if it will work? I currently use an Orange M5000 and would like to use my sim in my V1650 (It's already SIM unlocked).
Many thanks.
It'll work, just ensure that your device is super CID...
I hope you mean v1605
Oops a bit too eager with the keyboard - it's the v1605.
Will change to SuperCID and try the latest Orange Rom. Thanks folks.
If it's sim unlocked then you do not need to flash an Orange ROM for your sim to work, unless it's the Orange customisations that you're after, which you can also get as a seperate cab.

Offical Orange UK Rom

Hi,
I am looking for official Orange UK ROM. Can any body help finding it for me. Reason for finding is that device is locked with some company special program. If I flash it with some other flash, possibly it won't work because it is not Hard SPL phone.
I searched and found some thing about country and operator codes. I can modify the rom but what are the operator code for Orange UK. I appreciate your help.
hi
If its a rom for a himalaya you probobly not get the original orange rom any more. Or maybe you will just have to look hard.

Help please

I'm using unlocked HTC HERO of ORANGE (UK) in INDIA. Firmware 1.5, Build 2.73.1.66.
Kindly help how to udate it with 2.1
Can I use the old rom 2.73.405.5 on ORANGE's DEVICE (on HTC site after entering my Serial Number it described THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DEVICE)
Im with t-mobile and i had to use a t-mobile ROM as i got the same message from HTC website, so contact orange and ask them where you can get the latest update.
Or install a custom ROM, much better in my opinon but its up to you.
Hope this helps

[Q] Stock tmobile uk firmware to stock Orange uk

Morning all,
I have had my Tmobile supplied S2 for 18 months and need to move to orange so that I can have UMA running on my S2, I have no signal at all here at home and my other blackberry works perfectly fine over UMA.
I have asked Tmobile for a Pac code which is now registered on an orange SIM, I have also asked Tmobile for the sim unlock code which I had to pay 15.32.
Couple of questions that I need answering really if you could help.
1) How long does it take for Tmobile to provide you with the sim unlock code.....I have been waiting about 10 days already
2) Once I receive the sim unlock code shall i just put my orange sim in and unlock it.
3) Will the handset remain unlocked no matter what firmware I install.
4) Installing orange firmware....once unlocked can I just install stock Orange firmware straight onto the S2.
5) Does the latest stock orange firmware come with UMA already as part of the firmware.
I have in the past rooted and uploaded different firmware but cant remember which one then went back to stock tmobile using odin if i remember correctly so im not a total num nuts.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated, I think that im correct that once unlocked I can install any firmware and my handset will remain unlocked, but any pointers would be greatly received.
Thanks and happy new year to all at XDA

[Q] Network Unlock

Hi All,
I'm hoping you can help.
I'm trying to get my Galasy S3 unlocked for GiffGaff in the UK.
I've tried all the dial pad service codes and nothing seems to work. I see Current Code 186, instead of what the guides show.
I've also flashed a few different ROMS in the hope the code would work, but nothing.
Is there a way to unlock this device now?
I used to be on Orange and am currently running an O2 based ROM version: 4.1.2
Many thanks in advance.
Logicalstep
If it runs on O2 it will run on Giffgaff as Giffgaff uses O2 .
Is your phone actually locked and to what network .
