Is there any way to setup the home button to wake on the lockscreen on Hyperdrive ROM? I was using CM and it would wake with the home button.
Any help is much appreciated.
Yes, you'll be happy to know there is...

(I assume you're on RLS4) If so, just go to Hyperdrive Control -> Custom Settings -> Lockscreen Mods. You'll notice that the second setting is the one you're looking for. Hope this answered you're question.

When I first got it, the volume button would wake up the phone. A few days later it stopped doing it. Maybe I changed some settings but I've been looking thru them all and can't find it.
Was this a bug? I know most people need apps to be able to do that from what I read.
It was so much nicer than pressing the power button. *sigh*
I like waking up the phone with the volume buttons as well. I use a program known as widgetsoid 2.x, you can download it from the market, that lets you unlock the screen - meaning that you can wake the phone with the power button or volume rockers and won't need to slide to unlock it either.
WidgetLocker allows you to wake up the screen, and thus unlock the phone, from the volume keys as well.
DK
So you can't do it without an app?
Must have been just a tease. lol
I was hoping there was something simple in the settings somewhere.
Download No Lock, it allows you to use the volume rocker + power button to wake up the phone and gets rid of the lock screen for those of us that don't like it.
I use NoLock as well. Occasional Opera Mobile errors when waking the phone up, but overall NoLock works well...
Thanks, tried no lock. Works pretty well. Few times it still locked but I can live with that.
Thanks, No Lock was much better than widget locker that i've been using. The slider in widget locker is so slow/laggy.
You can also download "lock screen" to be able to lock screen by touching an icon instead of the horrible power button.

Atrix Wake Up On Volume Down Button
If you are using a custom ROM with cyanogen mod go on settings-cyanogen settings- input- and tick volume rocker wave.
this will allow you to wake your Atrix without using the annoying power button.
If this helps please press thanks.

Just in case anyone needs help.
Hi! Is there any way to make a different button than the Powerbutton, turn the screen on? It's uncomfortable to always press the Powerbutton to activate the Lockscreen.
Thank you!

if you are on cyanogenmod or blayo's rom, trackball for screen on is already activated
i use "widgetlocker" you can find it on the market, and there is an option to use the volume keys also for screen on
widgetlocker is a paid app, but it allows allot of customization for your lockscreen
how to use the home key idk
hope this helps a bit
thanks - I'll give it a try! ;-)
Using: [ROM][RC3][24.07.2011] Gingerbread 2.3.3 with HTC Sense 2.1
Hello,
I´ve googled a lot but didn´t find a solution.
I wish my home button act like flashlight toggle on long press on lockscreen. (MIUI feature).
Is there any mod or method out there?
Thank you.
U think this is a good idea? For my opinion a lockscreen got the same function as a non-function homebutton while lockscreening.
Yeah that´s a great idea because it works in MIUI. The flashlight would turn on only on activated lockscreen. Or are you using home button for something while in lockscreen?
I know it's not exactly what you're after, but you could use a lockscreen with a flashlight toggle, such as in the JKay mod.

Hi, just like the topic say... I hold the phone with my right hand and it's really weird the stand-by button on the upper left part of the chassis -.-, I want to use the phone with just one hand not two. So i'm asking if there are a settings for wake up the phone with volume hardware button.

I'm afraid at the moment NONE.
There might be some MOD in the future, but surely will require "root" for that.
Can with other Locker
FYI, with GO Locker, you can set to unlock the lock screen with volume button.
P.S.:I only installed GO Locker before but no other Locker.
Hardware button savior has it.
Install widget locker and then go into the options you will find what you are looking for.
It's compatible with stock launcher and doesnt require root.
Thanks to all, is exactly what I need to know... I'm not yet with this phone xD

I can confirm this, volume and camera buttons will make the screen wakeup!
I got the widgetlocker app, and found the option to activate using hardware buttons, but can anyone tell me how to use the stock lock screen in stead of the widgetlocker one?

Does this need Root access?
Hey folks, I just updated to MK2 and rooted with "Saferoot".....It seems like most things are functional........but, now when I long press the Home button the Power Off/On, etc. options come up just as they do when long press the Power button.
Any one know of a fix to get the task manager back when long pressing the home button?

Is your phone in "easy mode"? Settings/My device/Home screen mode
Other than some application having changed that button, that's the only setting I know of.

Ahhh. Good idea. I'll give it a shot!
Right now I'm using the double tap gesture in Nova Prime.
EDIT: Wanam fixed it! Thanks for the idea!

Perhaps Nova Prime has overridden the default behavior.

Nah. I'm using the Nova gesture because I couldn't get the home button to work...
Is pretty odd to me that long pressing the home button pulls up the power options. It would make more sense to me if long pressing did nothing at all rather than performing a completely different function than what is programmed. How does that even happen?
