So I dropped my note on concrete there is a small crack bottom left corner. I have insurance but what I want to know is if I send it in for replacement will I be able to unlock and root replacement as I am currently running beans and could not go back as I use SD swap. Oh and I assume I need to go back to stock to send to insurance any answers on how to do that would be great too. Thanks in advance for any helpful responses.

You don't need to return to stock to send to insurance. And the replacement I got a couple weeks ago didn't have the ota so rooting was np.
Even if its rooted? And running beans? Won't they void the insurance????

You're thinking warranty, different animal.

Hello everyone I'm coming from HTC one S. I still have the phone but I joined up with Verizon left T-Mobile. Couldn't stand the bad to no reception I had at my job. I was pretty hesitant to get this phone because I know it's been about for about 6 months and there's probably another phone around the corner but I really couldn't wait with the bad service so here I am. I really like the phone so far haven't rooted yet and planned to wait awhile but there's no button remap on stock heard it was removed do guess I'll be rooting soon!

Well I did the update the official update that came with the phone. And I wonder why do we have 2 dev forums ?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
If you took the ota you'll not be able to root it for the time being.
And as far as the 2 dev forums.

Yes follow Adams guide. If you make a backup of your old phone you could restore that and be right where you are now.
By the way you didn't need to create two threads for this. One in Q and A was all you needed.

So I was trying to restore my phone to stock from the N4 conversion. I was a bonehead and accidentally restored the wrong partition image and then my phone was toast. Thanks to mobiletechvideos.com, I am writing this message from my phone.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your work and would recommend them to anyone.
That being said, I'm planning on building my own JTAG very soon.

What was your turn around from when they received your device? And if you don't mind, what part of the country are you from?

Georgia.
They received it on Wednesday and I had it back in 7 days. I did pay for rush processing and expedited shipping. So $95 when it was all said and done.
JTAG http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Test_Action_Group
It's a low level way to interact with the phone when the primary os is not installed or borked like mine. My solder fu is not that strong yet, so I didn't want to attempt to figure it out myself.

Then the vibrator motor is probably connected loosely. Might wanna mention that to the guy in case it quits working.

I'll fix this post in the "morning."
I have had two experiences with Mobiletechvideos and my Samsung Galaxy S3.
Bricked it in January -- sent it off and it was back to me in under a week. Worked like a charm until,,,,,
Two weeks ago I was flashing a custom rom when the battery died. My fault.... sucker was dead, dead. Sent it back to Mobiletechvideo on a Thursday (overnight mail). It was back in my hands the following Saturday. Working just like new again.
These guys are great - I appreciated that they communicated with me through the process.
Can someone provide the files and if possible the steps needed to flash my phone back to bone stock.
My screen cracked on my phone so I'm trying to replace my phone through Verizon and the phone is rooted and flashed.
Any help on this situation would be appreciated.
Thanks guys ^_^

I don't think it matters with the insurance. I think it's only an issue for warranty replacements.

Can I get someone to verify this I need to replace my phone.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I had mine replaced through insurance because of a damaged screen, I was s-off and it was still running infection at the time. No problems at all.

Dropped phone at work, broke glass. Possibly more. I have the $10 a month at best buy. Do i need to go back to stock? Im going to guess there is a way, i just need to search. Bad luck day, thats not all that has gone wrong. Thought about really crushing it, lol. Get a new one.

They took mine, new DNA on back order. It not here in 2 weeks I get to pick a new phone up to DNA same full price. Today that would have been an s4. Gave me a dinc 2. I already miss flashing roms.

I gotcha. Its was actually very easy to relock, unroot, and go back to stock with correct "flag". Really easy.
