Hey guys I am having a problem with rom toolbox pro. I am using the app to backup my apps+data but every time I run it it says backup has failed on all the apps. I made sure that it was given root permissions. I am running Hyper drive rom.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am a newbie to this. I rooted my phone months ago. That was relatively simple. I wanted the ability to do wifi tethering. Now I'm unhappy with the fact that samsung is not updating the phone. I was going to try to download cyanogen, but I was so clueless with the technical lingo starting with the nandroid backup. If I could do it through rom manager that would be easy enough but I tried and I could not find a backup on my sd card. Before that I tried to download blackhole through rom manager and it didn't work. It went to

Let me say this first....You posted your topic in the wrong section this would belong in General not Android Development. Just a heads up. Okay do you have ClockwordMod Recovery installed too. If you dont just install Rom Manager and in that app it has Install ClockWorkMod it'll do it for you. Then Come here to the Android Development section and pick any rom you want. Download it then put it on your Internal Storage of your phone. Then install it through ClockWorkMod. Any questions go ahead and ask.

Lost my samsung apps icon, anyway to get it back or anyone have the apk? thanks.
Mine are gone now too. Not sure what happened but I get the message "Application is not installed" when selecting the Samsung App icon. After rooting I did install the 1.4GHZ overclockable ROM so maybe that did it, not sure.

bump.. any help would be great. thanks!
Hi there,
I rooted my SGS2 with S2 Root v1.3
My phone has successfully rooted, but i've not found any links that can let me install CWM after that.
I'm not sure, but rom manager users have reported the rom manager CWM can't seem to do nandroid backups properly.
Anyone can point me in the right direction or post a guide? thanks.
I've searched with the search tool and can't seem to find anything that can help me after S2 root. Thanks.
I've seen this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693
But it still doesn't tell me if it is compatible if i've already rooted with S2 root.
There are some kernels which installs CWM and Super User automatically after rooting. Such kernels are Chainfire, SpeedMod T27 etc, others won't.
Regards.
ok. will check those out.

Hello everyone.
I have 3 android phones, one old G2, one xperia X8 and recently I got a free motoluxe from t-mobile.
I would like to make sure all the installed apps are always synced between each phone: If i install a few apps on the G2, I will be able to install them on any other phone by clicking a button or such without having to remember what i did install.
One major problem is that the motoluxe is not rooted yet, but both the other have custom roms.
Any suggestion?
Titanium Backup (+Dropbox) will do a good job, but some apps are made seperately for LDPI/MDPI/HDPI and ARMv6/ARMv7 devices, you should note that.

Does anyone have a rooted flashible 5.0.1 zip somewhere that I can't seem to find. I flashed CM 12.1 and I made a backup, but per the tutorial instructions, I only backed up data and system with twrp. Now when I go to restore with my backup, I am in a eternal LG bootloop. I figure its because I am on 5.1.1 and the old version is 5.0.1.
Thanks for the help!
Nevermind, Found it!!
