I guess it would be more like a ROM specific but do you have any experience in this? Now since there is an official release for u8150 from CM7 i think it could help U8110 a lot if this is possible. Also there are MIUI ROMs for u8150 but not for u8110. I wonder if they could be ported or used as such.
Thank you.
Good Day all together
I want to creat a MIUI V5 ROM for the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 with the Latest CM 11 Snapshot M9. I tried it some times with a tutorial, but it don't work, always gave me an error in the recovery...
The latest MIUI ROM for S3 is based on 4.1.. not been updated to 4.4 or even 4.3. So I decided to creat my own thing. But it don't run like I hope
So it would be really great if someone can help me in this case. Really like to know how it works. I know some things about the phone and the Android software, but not everything.
Please help me
Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to rooting my device and using custom ROMs. I've been using the optimized CM12 ROM from AntaresOne now for a while and I'm pretty happy with it. But I'm that kind of person who always wants the best from his stuff so I decided to ask you guys which ROM you think is the best and would recommend for the jfltexx.
Also if you need it or if it matters here is the information of my current device:
Samsung Galaxy S4 (jfltexx)
Cyanogenmod 12 (optimized by AntaresOne)
TWRP 2.8.5.0
Hello everyone, I've been wanting to build the CM13.0 for my Lenovo K3 note, maybe even the CM12.1 too. But I have a specific doubt which I know I shouldn't have before I proceed any further into learning about ROM development, so I'm asking all of you, please do answer.
The Lenovo K3 Note source code is made public by Lenovo, say if I were to download that and if I use that kernel, will I be able to successfully compile CM13.0 and boot?
I think that will work with the CM12.1 version as the Stock ROM and 12.1 are both Lollipop versions. So my question basically is, will the Lollipop Kernel(provided by Lenovo) work with a Marshmallow ROM(if I am to build one)?
It would be great if you could please elaborate your answers as I'm looking to learn and not just get done with one thing and get caught with another. Thanks for taking time.
Cheers!
Hi guys,
I'm here to ask you a good MT6592(m) porting guide. I just bought my new THL 5000T, a MT6592m Octa-Core with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 5000mAh battery! It's a monster. It has 4.4.2 stock firmware and I saw someone ported MIUI 7 for it, on NeedROM. But I also saw LolliPop and CyanogenMOD ROM ported to MT6592.
I searched over Internet and I discovered that porting MT6592/T ROMS on MT6592m works flawlessly, so MT6592 (1.7Ghz), MT6592T(2.0Ghz) and MT6592m(1.4Ghz) ROMS are interchangeable.
So I started trying to port some ROMs like OctOS, CM12.1 and even KitKat Roms like AICP or CM11. I searched obviously the porting guide. Well....Here's the problem
Over internet there are thousands of guides, all differents each other, and NO ONE WORKING GOOD
I also tried to mix them by copying as many files from stock as possible. No luck. The only ROM that booted to launcher was OctOS but no network, no sim, no 3g, no nothing. I tried to fix them by "Bugs fixing guides" over internet, but they result in bootloop.
I'm here to asking you, my favourite and main Android modding forum, if someone has got the definitive guide for porting MT6592(m) ROMs.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english, I'm Italian
No one?
I can not help you about your problems, but I'm interested in, how you were returned to stock rom after installing a custom ROM. I also have problems with the installation and instructions on how to install ROMs on mtk

It's easy to return to stock rom after installing a custom rom.
You just need to flash your stock rom through SP Flash Tool!
