im in class now.. will let you know later.
but it's easy, just put the APK into "place apk for signing' folder (I guess that is the name of that folder). then in apk multi-tool you just choose option 18 for signing ..
sent from my iPhone 5.
ADDED : download this file for signing CM apk. Put it into apk-multitool/other. Then put your apk that you want to sign in "place-apk-here-for-signing", Run Script, choose option 18, then the apk-multitool will close itself, the signed apk is in the same folder.

I already know the steps. The problem is when I select 'sign apk' the program closes but the apk is still the same - unsigned. are there additional instructions on setting up multitool? I just extracted it on the desktop and run setup then script. am I doing something wrong?

yes..the script will stopped after you hit the sign command..its normal..
or you can check whether if its signed or not by open the apk with winrar, delete the META-INF folder, put the apk in the signing folder, hit signing command in the script.
then you may check in the signed apk, there is META-INF folder.

The photo widget does not work, I am not able to select the homescreen. It does not even show up as a selection, no timescape widget as shown in one of your screenshots. Any ideas on how to get these to work???

Hey, I tried everything that you said. Still my Touchwiz UI persists. I could not edit the build.prop file using Root Explorer, so I copied it onto my PC and then edited it and copied it back. But it refuses to get overwriten. What do I do? I have rooted my G3 already using SuperOneClick...
The problem is its not getting copied even after I click on Copy. I've given root access to Root Exp, why is this still happening? Can you help me out please?

On-Screen buttons [Home, Options, Back key] in ICS (.431)

I dont know if there is a thread or post here that correspond to mine, but I'll gladly appreciate someone that can point that thread to me. Im just curious about how this buttons looks like when put in Xperia devices. Thnaks in advance.
Long live XDA!
You should try GO Launcher EX, it's free on Play Store :B
Or maybe you would like to try MOAL

I'm using your 1st version now, it's pretty nice.
BUT
Can I have a suggestion?
Could you please make a version without those 2 icons next to settings? I don't need a button for locking screen and "swiping up" notifications, settings are enough for me. (and of course the "X" button when there are deletable notifications.) Please
Thanks!
EDIT-
i'm really n00b LOL
The new quickbar is great, thnx
I'm using this toggle "QuickPanelStockBat.zip" from this thread

Maybe you have to press Power-on an Volume-up buttons for a while to reboot after copying this file, because your system hang up.

may be u did it wrong, using root explorer, first u must put the systemui.apk in the system folder and set the permission to rw-r-r (like in the screenshot sample) then u move the apk to the system/app folder. after that reboot ur phone

You're right, so far - that's the way to do this and so I made it, too.
I have two sola phones (both ICS, rooted), tried different statusbars on them and every time the system stopped after a short time, i copied the systemUI.apk file to the app folder. Think, its because of you are copying a a new file over a running (system-) file. I used once the solid explorer (still beta, but fine) and then the ES file explorer.
But after a reset all things were ok and the status bars worked ok. Thx to the developers...
No matter, I just wanted to tell, if this happens (system stop) - just make a reset and all will be fine. :good:
Simple and does the work, thanks!

It's just re-code the program for an additional features.
Limited is different from Prevent,
maybe the original programmers code this for the apps by category or for this apps only, but he/she does not prevent it from other category.
if the source programmers prevent other category for this apps, then that's the term of hacking.
android is open source, if the source code is available then there's no hack, coz it's sharing,
they said, there's the code, use it, modify it, add additional..... and SHARE again the source.
you can decompile apk by apktool or apkmultitool to become readable xml (source)
you can also decompile .jar by simply renaming it to apk.
example: services.jar, rename this to services.jar.apk,
you can now decompile it and after recompile, rename again to services.jar
Dear friends can any one confirm if this works on stock rooted rom. I'm currently away from pc for next few days and can't revert back to stock, if it gives a fc. Any suggestions

Yeah this works expt for some issue with adding an app to window side bar...
While adding..when u press and hold an app from list as soon as you drop app icon to side bar the app is differnt than you selected...eg. u drag and drop music u get video playr instead or something else randomly added to side bar...
.
So you hav to remove that unwanted app from sidebar and try adding another app from list...and after some random draws u may get your desired app in side bar...
.
Its tiresome yeah...but still unlimited window option works somehow...and we shud appreciate that right...
