Is there a tv-out animation available for the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0? It's running Gingerbread 2.3.5 and I can't find any settings..
My device IS rooted so any kind of ROM would help..

I currently am running 4.3 on CyanogenMod and it has the tv-out animation. So a custom rom with JB would be required for you to have a tv-out animation.

Any custom rom based on CM (and obviously cm too) have custom lockscreen animations. So flash a CM (10.2/11) and u'll get what you want.

There are some stock ROMS like the 4.2s that have the CRT off animation by default. If you'd like to retain the stability of stock and just have the CRT off animation, there are guides in XDA that can help you achieve that by modifying the framework res.apk. If you are experienced, you can try it, else flah any cm/cm based rom, as said by HellPie.

Hi, might seem like a noob question but going to ask it anyway. Is it possible to use the stock samsung clock/alarm on a 4.0.4 ASOP/AOKP based rom? If yes, how? If not, is there an equivelant app somewhere that has the same features? Only problem is that i can't seem to be able to wake up to the alarm app that comes with 4.0.4 AOKP based roms.

wel with AOSP it might be possible but on AOKP sammy apps do not work

Any idea how? IE flash clock package over asop base rom?
until i find the solution to this, gonna stick with the stock firmware that came with the phone (lpq). Hopefully something comes up, either an equivelant app that does the same as stock sammy clock/alarm or porting is available.

Look around the forum, there are many battery mods for stock rom and for ctr, choose screen off and lock from the market

i dont think u need a kernel for that purpose. im running cm9 ROM with STOCK kernel and i get a cool boot animation.

Hey, Guys,
So I wanted to speed up my Sola because sometimes it's laggy especially when I'm in the browser. I tested many browsers and I think it's the Ram why my Sola starts crashing or freezing sometimes. My last Custom Rom was Ultimate Sola, but now I'm on the Stock Rom. I hope you can tell me some Rom or App how I can have more Ram and be faster/smoother. There are so many Roms and I don't know which one of them is the best for me. I don't need anything other things like Walkman, or Notification Bar or Bootscreen because I installed already a few on my stock rom. Just a good Rom which helps my Sola to get smooth and without any crashings or freezings. (Just one question: Does the new Custom Rom erases all my installed things like a new bootscreen, Notification Bar etc.?)

What is the difference between Kernel and Rom? It can also have a longer battery.

Rom - whole operating OS, with UI, system libraries and other stuff, also contains kernel but later you can flash other compatible kernel (there is compatibility requirment between ROM and Kernel).

Yes cm is cyanogenmod and is for unlocked bootloader, but you can use atis patch for locked bootloader i think. Im using stock, debloated and sliding kernel. The kernel did a huge performance difference and battery life. Very good combination...

Well there are guides for noobs, just search for them... I recommend using enwmo's kernel and the gx gaming rom(the one i am using)
Cyanogen is also a good idea, but some mods do not work on it... If u are fine with that then go ahead and flash it is the best

Yes thank you, i know, but is there a method how it works without an unlocked bootloader? I only rooted my device....
Do all Kernels must have a unlocked Bootloader?
If I can't use it because of the unlocked bootloader, can you say me other Roms/Kernerl which doesn't need an unlocked Bootloader?

Let's make something clear: there is no way that u can flash a kernel without unlocked bootloader... But u CAN flash certain roms with locked bootloader
