Hi guys
I'm getting my new HTC One in a few days and I'm looking for ways to transfer most of my stuff from WP to Android.
Google didn't help me that much. A lot of the stuff I found were about Windows Mobile or "Android to WP".
Can somebody help/point me to some documentation to transfer the most important stuff (like texts/contacts) from Windows Phone (7) to Android?
Thanks!
Matt

No there isn't any software that you "need to install" that comes with the device. It'll work out of the box. Now there is a lot of kinds apps out there that you can install, to give your device more functionality and aswell as many kinds of mods & tweaks to make winmo better.
The CD's that come with your device usaully come with software so that you can sync your device with your windows pc (like Active Sync for Win XP or Windows Mobilty Center for Vista). And maybe some kind of tethering app so you can use you devce as a modem, for example Verizon gives you an app called Verizon Access Manager.
hi I'm using htc hd2 windows mobile(Australia), I,m looking for Skype for my phone, plz tell where can i download the correct version Skype

try google to search for the old version if u want it - don't have it anymore.
But it realy is old and e.g. novideocall can be made.
regards
ist the biggest lag in windows mobile - missing apps - microsoft noticed this market much too late and now we nearly go no support (compared to other platforms)
Hi everyone,
i've looked around a little but i haven't yet found a program to sync my sensation with my computer, but i don't want a normal sync which just puts the songs from my pc onto my android, i want something which also takes the songs from my android and puts them on my computer. Does anyone know of such a program?

Hi Everyone,
Well it's been years since I've been here, but glad to be back, I'm hoping someone with more knowledge who's a bit more connected to these devices can provide some information. I've been tasked with working on some RF guns that use Windows Mobile 6.5. There are quite a few of them and short of doing each one manually I'm hoping to find an application that can clone a working gun to a blank device. Sort of the equivalent of what would happen if you got a brand new hard drive and wanted to clone one identical computer to another, applications, settings, etc...
I've see PPCPim Backup but I believe this is for personal information and I didn't see anything about applications. I also downloaded a trial of Sprite Backup which I'm hoping works. Having said that if anyone can provide a better alternative that would allow me to create an image with the purpose of restoring it later on an identical device I'd greatly appreciate.
Thank you everyone!
Hello all,
I have recently purchased a few HP Ipaq PDAs, I believe one is an R4000 and the other R4100 (Or H4000, can't recall) anyway they're running Windows Mobile 2003. I have also purchased a HTC HD2 running Windows Mobile 6.5.
I have got hold of loads of Pocket PC games but only maybe 1 in 20 will run on either of these devices. Normally I get an error of "Not a valid Pocket PC Application" or similar. I found an FTP site with various games/apps for download specifically listed as either "Pocket PC" or "WM2003" but again, only a small selection seem to work.
Am I missing something? Is there a better source I should go to (I appreciate none shall be named here but if someone could hint). I would have thought looking for WM2003 apps would be the ones I need for the IPAQs and Pocket PC apps should work on either but at least one of the devices.
Any help would be appreciated
