The issue is steroid gb is gb rom
Viper is ics rom.
For ics rom to boot u require an ics kernel.
And u using stock gb kernel.
Flash stock ics kernel via flashmode. Google it ull find the ftf file for .587 kernel. Keep in mind u jst need .587 kernel ftf not .587 whole firmware ftf

Hi
My xperia Neo V is in bootloop, stuck at sony logo. The phone is unblocked and rooted using the instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973017 , I have successfully rooted and taken nandroid backup using CWM. Then i tried to install Xperia Ultimate HD ROM. But now i am unable to boot my phone. Please help. I really appreciate any help.
Version: 4.0.4 ICS 4.1.B.0.587
Just flash stock ICS ftf file using flashtool or if u have nandroid backup, flash any stock based kernel like night-elf, sauve etc using flashtool in fastboot mode, goto CWM (custom kernels has built in recovery), restore the backup.. Done...

Dear Community.
I have to downgrade xperia neo (mt15i) from 4.0.4 to 2.3 for testing purposes. Is this possible? Where can I find the kernel/rom (preferably the factory default)? What flashing method is recommended for such thing?
Thanks a lot
Vladx
first u must flash gb kernel which u can find in the thread and then flash gb rom as u like as ur interest..there are gb rom and kernel search it..,
Or you can flash the stock ftf file using flashtool to go to stock rom...

I know, but the list above conatains only releases starting with 4., so I suppose these are not the original stock 2.x versions. What I'm looking for is the SW was on this handset when it was originally released (JB)
Thanks

Have u flashed it yet ?
Heya there mate , i was wondering if you have flashed it yet and how it works with you how is your battery etc .
I have it installed , its running pretty smooth and nice , with the proper apps u can make it run really light and ram free however im worried abit about battery usage cause it doesnt stay alive more than 9 hours
I had flashed cream caramel , it was smooth , got free ram and much internal space , but coming from officiallysonyrebel's 4.3 jb ROM I didn't have all the options present in this ROM , so switched back to heavy customizable 4.3 jb officiallysonyrebel ROM which i m using past one month

Let me guess... You were on gb before and you directly jumped to ics without either flashing stock ics or an ics kernel... If you have boatloader unlocked flash a ics kernel and rom will boot.. Or either flash stock ftf with flashtool or repair with SEUS...
