yes you can autobrightness disable and you can root the tablet...
The XTZ is indeed an awesome device but currently quite expensive ... The XTS is currently very low and offers many useful features ... Eventually it will have a chance to enter the bootloader unlock then CWM was possible ... but with 4.1.1. running it currently very good and there for the XTS a nice keyboard leather cover - even the battery life does the XTS course you can get for 100-150 $ € more when XTZ such as NFC, magnetic sensor, more RAM and CPU Snapdragon S4 with 1, 5GHz instead of 1.3GHz Tegra3

I don´t own an XPERIA Tablet, only the Tablet S, but I imagine that if Sony made so difficult to root the Tablet S means that for the Xperia Tab. things won´t change. Don´t you think??
I hope I´m mistaken, so that at least owners of the new tablet could root and customize better your device, but thats what I think....

[Q] ZTE GRAND X IN vs Live With Walkman vs Xperia J

Yes, This is a question but for comparation phones and I think it belogs here. If not, mods please move it
I'm buying ZTE GRAND X IN next week and I want to ask you what you think about it. Spec here
I might switch to it and give lww to my dad or vice versa if it receive JB. I read that it will get in March 2013 (this month)
So, what do you think. According to unboxing videos it has AOSP UI which I like it
Edit: And how about Xperia J? Same spec like our phones with planned JB update
xperia j doesnt have same specs
our phones are better
but zte is better

J spec here
Odp: [Q] ZTE GRAND X IN vs Live With Walkman vs Xperia J
But J is too laggy for me. I have in my hands Xperia and ZTE. ZTE is super smooth, but I want my Mango

Why do you want the official jb? You could very easily use custom fw. if the phone has better specs, it will be smooth too.

If I can do it, I will done that with my LwW. I have locked bootloader and 90% I'm sure this phones will be locked too.
Ok. There isn't any jb rom for locked right?
Btw, you could try wotan server, (I know it's not free, but considering you have two phones with un-unlockable bootloader)
Back on topic, I would go with zte as j specs are almost like ours, except the jb part. (Heard zte was better.)

Jb roms couldn't run on locked bootloader coz sony didn't released any official kernel, rom or sources for jb for our phones and will never do it. So we need custom kernels for jb which obviously need an unlocked bootloader.
Press THANKS if I helped,
Best Regards,
AJ
Dont miss the ICON FARM!
Well, there is not even Z for ZTE GXIN and J anroid development forum is not that rich like this :/ I'll buy it but I'm not sure if I or my dad will use it
I don't know if this is bad news but ZTE Grand x In have x86 processor instead of ARM and some apps might be not compatible with it.

You're not going to get sensible answers here as we are all S3 owners.
Also, please see this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173470
Spec-wise - the Xperia. A Snapdragon CPU, twice the RAM, a bigger battery, better camera, waterproof.
Your call though.

thats exactly what i though but im afraid that xperia z won't get android 6.0
as of now no official Marshmallow for the Xperia Z
Does the xperia z have the issue with reduced camera quality if DRM keys are lost with bootloader unlock?
all Xperias from the Z-family have this "issue" when unlocking the bootloader. You have to make a backup of the partition where those DRM keys are located.

It propably wont get, but neither s3 willl get official marshmallow. As for custom roms it has snapdragon processor so you can be sure about custom roms.

Custom Rom on stock Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE

Hi folks,
Could someone please help with the following?
I have the tablet in the subject. Haven't used it in ages, as I have an iPad Air 2 from work which I prefer.
My daughter is now a teen and keeps pinching my tablet to view all her shows on my tables, although she has a rooted Nexus 7 I gave her with CyanogenMod installed.
This is driving me up the wall. Can't afford to get a new tablet at the moment so I dug up my old Sony Tablet.
My Xperia Z tablet is stock with the latest update Sony pushed out - I think it's version 5.1.1 or something.
I see a lot of roms available for this device on xda.
Is there any benefit to root the device and install one of those or is the device outdated? Will it stream Netflix, etc in HD?
Many thanks!
