I accidentally deleted a couple photos that I wanted to keep. Is there a way to recover them? If mass-storage worked I could just connect to a computer and have it work, but with MTP that won't work. Is there a way to do it? Could I image the internal memory and put it on an SD card or something?
I don't know if there is a way to undelete pics, but you can download Dumpster from the Play Store. It can't help you with what's already been deleted, but once you run this app it will keep tracknof everything you've deleted and then you'll be undelete them.

Can you connect your phone as an external storage device and then use a file recovery program? That's how I retrieve deleted files from devices and SD cards. Pretty easy, a company called "stellar phoenix" has a good recovery program, but there are tons of free ones.

Disk digger from the play store. Needs root. Takes a long time

are you rooted? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.undelete&hl=en

Hello, apps to sd would be an option for people who don't want to do an sd swap but still want to save space on their internal memory. My question is, has anyone used Titanium Backup to put all their huge apps onto their external sd card? If so, how's it going, is it working ok?

Doesn't work even though it says it works.
Only option would be to backup to SD, delete app, and restore when needed.

Hah. I've been wrestling with this for the last hour. Glad to see that I'm not crazy.
Hey, anyone know his to move apps to the SD card in the MDK build. Can we just use any app off the Play store?

I don't think so. A work around instead is using an app called folder mount. I moves the data to the sd card but the phone still thinks it's installed on internal memory. You need root thought. Try it out. It works great for me.
I want to upgrade the firmware to me7 but waiting until a custom recovery method can be installed first. Root is not enough for me.
Rooted S4
Bear in mind that the apps to sd ”feature” in ME7 is worthless. If you want to free up any appreciable space, you will still need to use a third party app to do so.

I deleted my pictures taken on the camera in the gallery, how do I recover it?
Recuva, stellar phoenix are windows options. undelete from the market if you have root.

Did you have them stored on the phone or on an sd card. If an sd, I would pop it out and stop using it. Look for a data recovery program for your os, and try to recover it. If it was stored on your phone, you may still be able to recover, but it may not work since that space may have been overwritten. Wish I could be of more help but I'm not home right now.
Also check out disk digger the play store. Looks like what you need.

I deleted it from my phone, I don't have an SD card installed and I tried looking for a software to recover it but I have a Mac.
Hello everyone.
I really need your help.
My SD card went crazy, and now all of my pictures are gone.
I set two pictures as wallpapers for my home and lock screen.
They still show up, so I'm assuming they're still located on the phone somewhere.
Where are they, and can I move them to my PC?
My GS4 is rooted, and I have Root Explorer.
Put the sd card in the computer (not through the phone) and download a program called Recuva and run it on it. Should be able to get them back.

+1 on putting it in your computer and using recuva. Its very straight forward.
It worked!
Thank you.
Seems that I have no room left on my phone storage & tons of space left on my SD card. How can I get my phone to put everything on the card, by default??
Would this work: if I hook my phone up to my PC, then just took all the folders on my phone storage, and moved them to the Card. Would my apps & stuff still work or would doing that not be good??

I don't think just copying the apps will allow them to work. You can use Application Manager to move some apps to the sd card.
I went thru all my apps & moved whichever ones I was able to move. But I did that a long time ago. So I still have no room on my phone storage.

Move photos, downloads and any music on your phone to your SD card too. Then in your camera app go to settings and change the SD card as default.
Download the free version of SD Maid and use it to clean up old thumbnails and program files still on your phone from before you moved them.
I once deleted 2gb of photo gallery thumbnails from my phone with this app. You can also see which files are the largest on your phone and SD card to see if you can move or delete anything.
I have this app on my phone, tab, and my kids tabs to keep up with their memory and storage usage.

Thanks, I'm also running out of space, I'll give this a shot.
Tonight I was gonna try to just backup all my.stuff and then start over. I use GO launcher and I saw that I have GO backup on my phone, so I was gonna try to.use that. I started the app & it said my SD card is corrupted or damaged. I included a screenshot of what it said:
So would this be the reason why everything is on my internal storage instead of my card? Or is that message just something I.should ignore??

If you have a card reader unmount your SD card, take it out and try reading it on a computer. If you can read it I would copy everything off and put in a temporary folder on your desktop. Then format the card with the computer and put it back in the phone, format it using the phone and try your back-up again.
If it works put the card back in your computer and copy your files back. Be sure to unmount the card each time. Mine went corrupt once because I didn't.
How do I make the SD card, the default storage for everything? Or is that not possible...

You would have to change defaults on all your apps, camera is a big one.
