it seems pretty simple question. but here is the situation.
if i download a file from internet, then i get notification DOWNLOAD STARTED or SUCCEFULLY DOWNLOADED in Notification Center (the pull-down menu). after opening the notific-center by pulling it downwards, i can delete the notifications, so that the notifi-center is clean. but the next time i download another file from internet, i get then 2 notifications. the one about the last download and the other about the earlier file.....so, how do i clean the cache (or how u call it) of the notification center? right now i have my notific-center full of download messeges.....
Which app do you use to download files?? That's some error with the app you use.. To clear cache head over to settings>apps>all apps select the particular app n clear cache... A restart may fix it sometimes

Do you open the notifications or simply swipe them away? Because if you swipe away then it doesn't actually clear the notification, it just dismisses it. Tap the notification to invoke the download center app which should clear away pending notifications.
Are you using JB? If yes, there is an option to disable notifications from a particular application.Go to >settings>applications and remove check-mark from apps that you don't want messages on the notification bar.

Hi is there a way to remove/disable the messaging app on hero and have handcent as default? coz when i get a message both apps pop and its annoying
i don't know of a way to remove the built in app that doesn;t cause issues, but you can just turn the notifications off.
in the messaging app, press menu, and go to settings.
turn the notifications off and that will stop it from popping.
i think you'd still get the little green number on the icon though....

Root Explorer http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-speedsoftware-rootexplorer-Fiq.aspx find urself a cracked one ..its everywhere
take R/W permission (icon on top)
then go to "system/app/Mms.apk" press and hold then, delete.. then reboot home (i use 1Kill ) it will get ur system together.
use that after uninstalling any preinstalled app it will not start ur undesired services (stop error messages)
Does anyone else notice that the notification in the top bar will reappear after a while after you swipe it away (without openining it)? It comes back again until you actually open and read the item.
Even worse for browser downloads, the item doesn't open up when I click on it (but can be found in the folder). And again the notification of the completed download will reappear a while after you swipe it away without opening it.
Is it me only or anyone have similar issue?
UPDATE - for the record since I opened this, the issue has been resolved in the FW after V .50.
I only had that with the email app. So i stopped using it

seems like it is not a common issue... I'll wait for the next major FW to flash.
I downloaded a mp4 file using chrome but the file can't be opened by clicking on the notifications bar. Using file explorer, deleted the file but the notifications reappear again everytime there is other notifications displayed.
tried clearing cache on chrome, and wipe cache to no avail!!!

As of 4.1 (or earlier), you can disable notifications per app in the settings. Go into settings, then application manager, and find your app. Click on it, and at the top, just under Force Close, is a check box where can enable or disable notifications.

Hello.
I having few issue with Whatsapp on Xiaomi Black Shark & tried looking on Net. Unfortunately no answer for it.
1. Push notification didn't working unless I restart the phone. The problem come back after few hours.
2. Voice note send empty voice note to recipient.
Anyone facing same problem?
Factory reset didn't help at all.

you should check a few things, first in the settings menu under battery you have you have smart background managment, make sure whatsapp is on the list thats allowed to run in background.
next go to app settings and look at the permissions whatsapp has, maybe notification permissions were blocked for some reason.
I also having a same issue. my XBS Helo seem cannot push notification for WhatsApp and Message. After few hour turn off the notification cannot popup the notification. it only pupup after a few minute I turn off. But once a few hour the problem come again. Please solve this issue XBS developer. is not just me but more members that using XBS having the same issue.
I'm using the china rom also included having that issues.
For messaging apps i setup the following and never had a problem:
- in Phone Manager -> permissions -> autostart check your app to let it start at boot
- in Phone Manager -> Battery -> Smart Background Management check your app to leave it running in background instead of killing it
- in recent apps drag down the app you want to lock it and never kill it
Doing these i never miss a notification from my apps.

You're not going to want it for the global rom, trust me. It's annoying and can stop 3rd party sms apps to stop working because it constantly posts an alert warning if you try to send a text in the background. If you have the global and are rooted, get app ops. It's pretty much the phone manager, available on the play store, and soooo much better than phone manager itself.

Hello,
I have OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition and i have the following problem:
When Viber / WhatsApp are open, even in background i'm getting all notifications.
But if I close the apps - no notification. So i must keep these apps always open and I think that this is not normal behavior.
I have allowed all notifications from App>App Info>Notifications, from the apps' settings and in App info> Power settings.
Any ideas what else to do?

U have to go to the app management in settings, and look for the ws app or other app, enter to power save and allow in the background.
then go to batery, also in settings, enter there look for the quick freeze option, enter there and turn off the quick freeze for the app.
And the last movement, go to recents look for the app u want to recieve notification and then lock it, pull down the window and u will see the options to lock it or unlock it.

Hello, thanks for the answer. I think I have tried all these steps but no succsess. Are you sure that this really helps?
you have to lock the app by swipe down in Taskfunktion (long swipe up in the middle), you have to do it after every restart of the phone, but it works by me
