Hi, I'm currently running the latest liquid smooth rom and all is well. However, I've been trying out different roms and I follow the same procedure when moving to different roms: factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and then I install. With newer carbon rom, pacman, and PA after a clean install voice services fail to work at all. Voice on google now, voice dial, voice search, and voice input on keyboard all begin initializing but then fail almost immediately. I can't seem to get them to work. Tried clearing cache and data, fixing permissions, and downgrading google now. Please help:laugh:

It seems I am the only one that gets this error and I am very frustrated.
This bug is simple
After flashing any Samsung ICS rom:
Contacts will stop syncing halfway. Sometimes (no sync will happen at all!)
I have tried clear data/cache.
Wipe cache/dalvik.
Fix permissions. Flash another rom. Flash another rom again.
Dalivk. Permissions. Dalvik. Flash another rom. Permissions fix again...
etc etc.. you get my point...
Can't seem to fix it.
Cyanogenmod 9 syncs perfectly.
Gingerbread also.
I've had trouble with this to. After a while they did eventually sync though.
I even get reboots when trying to sync
Now i am desperately trying again and again with latest KPA
A solution was Simplistic rom RC2.
Now after making same framework changes, I can't sync contacts again. What the f* is wrong with my contacts?
Today I tried the CM9 ICS ROM from this thread on my galaxy tab 10.1. Before installing it, I did a backup in CWM. I then tried out ICS and reverted back to my old honeycomb after a few hours (basically because of the missing camera and no youtube HD).
Problem is, now all my google apps seem to have no internet connection even though I'm connected (Browser works, Twitter aswell). I'm guessing that all the apps that were in that ICS build have no connection now that I reverted back to the old version. This makes my tablet basically useless and I haven't been able to fix this on my own.
I tried to delete /cache aswell as the dalvik cache in CWM. Deleting all user data didn't help either. Reinstalling the apps is not possible because the market can't connect either (I deleted all market updates and pulled the apk from the internets, still no connection)
I have DroidWall installed and tried to reset the settings there, no luck. Even disabling it completely didn't help.
I'd be grateful for any help concerning this.
You could try flashing a gapps package: http://goo-inside.me/gapps.
Thanks, but I just wiped the whole thing and did a factory reset. That did the trick.
Hey guys, I have problems about wipe dalvik cache and general setting
first of all I flash KA10.2 which seems to work great for me, so today I decide to flash KA11 but I have the same system UI problems as everyone so I flash KA10.2 back. After I flash KA10..2 back, I can't download any app from play store and "insufficient storage on device" occur, so I decide to do a full wipe and re-flash KA10.2 again, but "insufficient storage on device" still occur and when I try to wipe dalvik cache, the screen flash and nothing happen, no confirmation. Another problem is that every time I turn off the phone and turn it on again, I have to set up my general setting every time. (Language, connection, account, sync just like the set up guide)
so do you have any solution or suggestion for me?
Thank you in advance
Don't know what to do, but download Lucky Patcher (used to patch paid apps, but also has a fix for the storage issue) and keep it with you installed.
Hey all,
I've a SGS3 i9300 and use Miui 2.11.23 (Jelly Bean). I've got a strange problem.
After calling someone..the Phone.apk (com.android.phone) doesn't seem to release the accelerometer and hence causes the battery to drain more than usual. The same follows for several apps such as Camscanner, Google translate, Getril, Any.do, Camera zoom fx etc. The problem persists till I restart the phone.
I have accelerometer disabled by default. I've tried reinstalling the ROM with wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvic cache but can't seem to put away the problem.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Much appreciated
Hi XDA members! This is my first post ever in the forums and It'll be a long one (please be patient!), because I'm having one of the strangest issues with my Galaxy S3 i9300 and Cyanogenmod 10.2 and 11 too (recently installed to try out KK). FYI I've already searched A LOT about this issue, tried A LOT of possible solutions, and none of them worked by now. Also have in mind that my native language is Spanish, I'm from Argentina, so I'm sorry if I write something wrong.
Ok here I go.
The problem is that I cannot connect to the Google Apps using any mobile network (3G, H, E, etc.). I mean, the apps are launching fine, but I cannot sync my Gmail account, can't connect to Play Store (the error message is something like "connection timed out: try again"), neither download maps from Gmaps, etc. Although, I can connect and sync everything using WiFi, so the problem only applies for mobile network.
I've checked my APN settings and signal strength, they are fine and working, because I can connect to other apps like WhatsApp, Chrome, etc. It also isn't a phone issue, because all the apps works and connects like a charm using any Samsung based ROM (I've tried the stock ROM and other custom roms BEFORE AND AFTER installed Cyanogenmod, and they worked fine).
Ok, as I've said before, I've tried many different solutions with the same outcome: nothing changes. Some of those are:
Wiped everything (data, cache, delvik cache, etc.), reinstalled CM, reinstalled Gapps
Installed different versions of CM (10.2 and 11, stable, RC, snapshots, nightly), and also different versions of Gapps (CM recommended, PA-Gapps, etc.)
Wiped application cache, and data, and uninstall upgrades, from Settings menu and also Titanium Backup app
Flashed the Modem the default firmware from my carrier to CM Rom
Probably some other things that I've forgot now :silly:
Also, on a different note, I've tried Omega Rom (the one based on Google default Rom), and I had the same issue with it. Could it be a issue related to AOSP roms? Hmmm...
I think this is everything you need to know. If I remember anything useful, I'll post it here.
I REALLY, GREATLY, AWESOMELY appreciate anyone's help. If I cannot solve this, well, I'll have to return to Samsung Rom as much as I hate it
Thanks in advance!!
Anyone? Please?
