Im now with Old Faithful Galaxy Nexus.

Did you use the device while charging? This could have cause the burnts
Previous device:Samsung Preston, Samsung Jet,Samsung Galaxy ace
(Current):International Note2 LTE N7105
Flashed with CleanRom Ace 4.9 with Perseus Kernel overclocked to 1.8MHz

bought s3 well not much of a difference apart from screen battery and some software changes. Close the thread please

The Galaxy S2 is as fast as the S3 at stock speeds and as fast or faster than the HTC One X if overclocked scoring around 5000 in quadrant, I think the S2 is a better phone than the other two.

Rom: XWLPO (4.0.4)

Buy a 3310, lol.
sent with my Nokia 3310 Chuck Norris approved.
s3 best of them
if u like the taste of sense 4.0 then go for the ONE X
in my opinion the S3 is better because both have the same HW specs but samsung devices are more customizable than HTC ones
Best look if you love sense: HTC One X
Best hardware: SGSIII
Best software: Galaxy Nexus/Nexus 7
It all depends on what you prefer, looks, awesome hardware for gaming and such, or best software with the quickest updates to the latest Android version

Htc One X is not that great from,i prefer s2 to one x and i think one S better in Htc's ,S2 still a realy nice device, super quick with Jelly bean and cheaper now but if money is no object, get an S3

Both are great phones. Only small differences (which could be negotiable) comes in Note II, like Samsung Exynos Quad-Core processor, S-Pen.

+1. And the screen size too. It ain't gonna be a big deal. Anyway they r giving the exclusive note2 features like multi window and stuff to s3 (+ the premium suite) .so it doesn't really matter unless u prefer a bigger phone.!
Being that cm10.1 was released for n7100 which is the International note2 and that all roms for the nite 2 seem to be easily ported, does this mean we should be seeing cm10.1 shortly?!

Seems how they just got the Alpha build of CM10 out I wouldn't count on 10.1 being out anytime soon.

This is too negative. Our phone was unlocked in less than a week for crying out loud.
10.1 isn't a small update from 10, it's 4.1.1/4.1.2 to 4.2 which introduced a bunch of issues, mostly with how the phones storage is used I think. It'll be a while, I have a gnexus and it just got alpha builds of 10.1.
tappin from a paranoid Note II
I hope it comes soon...but this is a Verizon phone! I'll be patient!
The problem with 4.1.x -> 4.2 is the API change, which makes using old libraries/drivers on newer code harder.
Sbrissen already has CM10.1 booting for Sprint and VZW gnotes. Just some issues to work out before releasing anything. It will come soon enough.

Exactly what makes me question the statement.
Is it even going to be out on Nexus by that time?
Idc as long as samsung releases official source and blobs. Is it coming for both 5.8 and 6.3? Thats the main question.

S2 but Not Note II xD what a joke xD

You can obviously tell this isn't entirely correct. I doubt Samsung will update the S2 and Note 1 but not the Note 2. I'll be surprised if the S2 even gets an update. When it got jellybean it was a pleasant surprise.

My thoughts exactly, I can't see them still supporting the S2 at this point. Looking forward to seeing if this pans out for the Mega though.

I would not be surprised. The post says KitKat especially targets low-memory devices as one of its selling points is a new kernel with a smaller footprint to enable apps run smoother on low-memory devices.
You mean october 2014?
Well I doubt samsung will update s2 and other same year models to kitkat.
Anyone who believes that list of devices is anything other than fantasy is very gullible. There is no way on earth the Note 1 will get an official upgrade to 4.4.

Not an official update i believe but maybe a custom rom for it as i have my note 1 on 4.3 now for a while already...backup phone that is for now.
Help Me !!
Do you know if the Samsung Galaxy Duos FAME S6812B will also receive?
I love how they made it sound like 4.4 would be able to be loaded on all Android devices like you do say windows on any pc, yet here we are having to wait for them to "roll it out". It's why I don't bother worrying about updates and getting inferior devices like the Nexus phones. lol.
Hmmmm did samsung skip 4.2.2 [4.3] 4.4 ?????
Well.... the original post said October. ... hmmmm...a bit late so far.
