Tip For No Sound On Phone Call Problem - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I discovered how to temporary fix the problem of getting no sound when you either dial a number or answer a call when using a AOSP rom. I found out if I run into this problem -if I close my music player (Google Play Music) from the cached processes then it totally fixes the problem and I can get audio on my calls. I only sometimes have I experienced the no call audio and whenever I do this, it fixes the issue. Just thought I'd share this for anyone who might be having issues with this happening

[Q] Weird sound issues on Vibrant

Hey,
I've had the Vibrant for a couple months now but its been having a weird sound issue as of late where the sound just dies.
The sound stops working randomly and its frustrating because I don't know what causes it. Whats odd is that he ringtones still work if I go to test them in the Sound settings (only the stock ringtones) but all other media doesn't work. Jukefox tells me the music file type is unsupported and the on-phone music player tries to play them then skips to the next over and over.
The only solution I have for this currently is to reboot the phone then the sound works for a random amount of time before it happens again. The only way I find out is when someone calls me and it vibrates instead of the ringtone.
Any ideas? This is quite frustrating. I've also done a factory reset and the problem persists. I'm under the impression it might be a 3rd party app.

google voice no sound

Like many others, I am using Google Voice for my voicemail. However, I keep having a problem where the messages don't play through either the headset or speakerphone when hitting play. I've reinstalled, uninstalled, disabled and relogged in, etc.. I am currently using CM10.
Has anyone seen any similar issues and / or found a solution?
Having a bigger problem when all sound and Mic performance going dead sometimes, not sure the cause yet but may be related to Bluetooth.

Audio quality problem

Im on the latest coolexe ROM, this problem occurs when im listening to music (using poweramp) and i noticed that the audio quality changes after receiving a call, the only way to solve this change in quality is doing a reboot. Anyone else did notice this? Any solution? I think it has to do with the codec used to record a call, maybe its not releasing something after the call... i cant post in the coolexe thread because i dont have enough posts.

Whatsapp voice problems

Hello guys,
not sure if this is happening to everyone, on my Galaxy Ace 4, OS version 4.4.2, Whatsapp seems to record audio TOO DISTORTED, my voice gets recorded to badly that people doesn't even hear what i'm speaking about... (Comes out VERY loud), also this problem happens on whatsapp call.
When I restart the phone, Whatsapp voice works well for a couple of minutes, then the problem returns as mentioned.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall the app and clear the cache, but it doesn't fix the problem.
I dont think it is a hardware problem because other voice apps record normally.
If someone has this bug or knows how to fix it would be awesome.
thank you

Question Popping/crackling sound during calls on multiple apps [SOLVED]

Every couple of minutes I am getting a loud pop/crack sound during normal calls and the same behaviour on Whatsapp and Viber calls.
I tried both on speaker and without and the result is the same. I am running all the latest updates. The adaptive sound is disabled.
Also tried Stealth Audio Player to hear both the external and internal speaker on Youtube videos and I can't reproduce it except sometimes it pops when a video is started. I also tried recording my mic and it sounds clear without this popping.
Is there anything else I can try to fix or debug this issue? It sounds like it is trying to record or adapt the sound while on call even if the adaptive is off.

This kinda sounds like the problem I had, but ALLLLL the way back to my Pixel 2 XL!
If you're rooted, you can try what worked for me below -- although, I'm not up to date with Viper4Android (V4A) and I believe it's either EOL or is in the process of being updated to work in x64 architecture or there are newer updated branches or something... But if it's possible to lower the frequencies, you might luck out like I did on the taimen...
I Found a Speaker Distortion Fix
Like many, my phone has the lower speaker distortion on speaker phone calls and general audio, like YouTube, when turned up high. If you are rooted, I have found a solution to all situations except speaker phone calls. I installed Viper4android...

Thanks for the help. I can hardly hear any issues while on youtube. There is noticeable pop when videos ending or starting. Some people are reporting motherboard issues with Pixel 7 leading to similar problems. I am trying to find if it is a hardware or software issue.
After further investigation it looks like interference. If I disable the mobile data and WIFI it seems to be a lot better. After 16 minutes call it was a very faint pop if at all. Does it sound like it needs a motherboard replacement or a future patch might fix it. Update: still happening regardless of connectivity on both the inner and outer speaker. I am going to RMA for motherboard replacement.
