If you.still see Sony Ericsson logo then it can be fix by using PC Companion or flashtool.

If you cannot see the phone in flashtool you could also try to install the driverpack that is in the flashtool drivers folder... There are a lot of different drivers in that driverpack, including some generic ADB drivers.
(installing might take a while depending on your configuration)
I've got a little problem with my xperia u running cm9. On stock rom everything works great but after installing cm9 (slimcm) flashtool does not see my device and tells me to install driver to it. Is there any way to make my pc see my phone with cm9?

Try install flashtool's drivers? Drivers should in flashtool file.
Install the drivers in the /Flashtool/drivers directory.

I've got them installed and on stock system everything works well, but after installing cm9 flashtool said that I don't have drivers installed.
Install the drivers in the folder /Flashtool/drivers then while installing select your device from the check box and scroll down to the last for fastboot and flashboot drivers and it will be fine...

What?
I guessed that your PC was blocking the drivers, damn, if the F8 trick didn't worked.
Tried to run Flashtool64?
If that didn't work then I suggest to use other computer.

The problem is that everything works with stock sony rom, but after flashing cm9 my pc does not see my phone. I think that isn't pc related.
It can be, what CM do you use? Original or FXP?
Yes, but patched for locked bootloader - maybe this is the problem
If your computer can read flash drives or any other USB device, then I don't think that is a the PC, if in stock it can be read then it's about the ROM, maybe is a bug.

Hello, since there is no workaround yet to install flashboot driver in windows 8.1 x64, so I thought if I can flash my XP in VMware.
I installed windows xp in VMware installed flashtool and drivers. but when flashtool asks to connect the phone, I connect it but Windows xp doesn't see it. The phone restarts almost immediately and boots up normally.
Now my question is, is it possible to flash my Xperia P from vmware? If yes, then what am I doing wrong?
Is there any way to flash my phone other than installing windows all over?
Thanks in advance.

Um ok did you install the files?
Sent from my Xperia P using Tapatalk
Yes. Disabled driver sigining verification and then replaced the files in C:\system\windows32 and then instaled the driver. It succesfully installed all three drivers (Xperia P, adb and flashmode). But when I connect my Xperia P, Flashtool says drivers needed to be installed.
I've installed resurrection ROM by Abhinav2. It is great but the phone app lags a lot. I mean really lot. That's why wanted to go back to darkROM. But it is impossible to install DarkROM without installing Stock ROM first. Kinda stuck in ressurection ROM.
The latest flashtool isn't seeing my device when I hook it up to my computer.
Any advice?
Search here for the GPe drivers, I don't think thy are included yet
