[Q&A] No Wifi/Bluetooth after several attempts - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Well, first of all hi, i'm rather new here, though i have been running around now and then to grab a few roms/kernels for the Neo, onto the main question though.
I flashed the Neo with the moProject V2, flashed the kernel than came with it and wifi was unable to start, it keeps getting stuck on "Turning wifi on...". Then i went to flash the thing again with LuPuS, now both wifi/bluetooth don't work. I've tried everything, every other bit of the phone works except these things, any suggestions?
Also could someone tell me how to flash the wifi modules? I've really tried almost everything except that, flashing another kernel just gets me bluetooth at most (Pac and nAa)

Hi,
I think to remember moProject42 V2 is JB 4.2.2 therefore WiFi and Bluetooth will not work on LuPuS. You have to use a 3.4 kernel. You can get them from mikeioannina thread or TheDarkDefender one. Both are the same.
Don't need to flash WiFi modules. Just flash the kernel, and if you don't have WiFi, re-flash the ROM without any wipe. It should work

Well i just tried, it's the same nAa kernel i used before, bluetooth works now though, but wifi still doesn't, it's still stuck on "Turning Wi-Fi on..."
Re-flashing the rom fixed it, many thanks for the help

Which version is? Have you re-flashed the ROM?
I'm using nAa 4.4.51 with DarkRom and WiFi works pretty nice.

Flash a proper/working kernel. When we first got these ROMs it was a very widespread problem. A kernel that wasn't meant to go with a certain ROM usually caused a wifi problem. Check the thread for that ROM and find the right kernel.

To make thing much easy for you to switch different kernel i suggest you flash Stock wifi modules first before you try other kernel...this can test you phone whether wifi works on stock modules or you have to flash wifi modules to make it works....

Currently, many kernel are many errors with the wifi but only to install the Wifi modules will serve you to perfection, or use the kernel as you recomiento table. I currently use the ICS Kernel KRsH Wifi modules and serves me perfectly.:good:
problem solved i would request the moderator to close this thread.... i had actually installed mac filter on my router so wasnt able to access as my phone wasnt added there is no problem with the wifi modules

[Q] Galaxy S2 Wifi Issue

Hello!
I'm sorry if this is a repeated thread.
I'm on Jelly Bean stock firmware I9100XWLSK (4.1.2) (Indian version) rooted. Everything is fine except that I am not able to turn on wifi since last week (Its becomes dull green and then gets grey; Refer Screenshot).
There was a similar problem when I was on ICS (when wifi toggle switch used to hang), but it was solved by one of the several tweaks suggested for the problem..e.g. delete connection and put the phone in airplane mode etc. etc.
But this time none of these worked. The wifi would just won't turn on. S2 without wifi is of no use to me.
I've tried every thing; Flashed stock GB 2.3.6 & JB 4.1.2 I9100XWLST, Did factory reset, wiped cache data, etc etc.
I'm tired now, this problem is being faced by many others so I request you all masters of andriod to take the matter seriously and come out with a solution please.
Further more when i use USSD codes such as *#*#526#*#* or *232339# WLAN Test code, nothing happens, these codes do not work on my 4.1.2 S2.
Many Thanx & Regards.
PS: Find the attached screenshots.
Try a custom kernel (pick any one you want). WiFi drivers are in the kernel, so therein probably lies your problem.

1) Please do not use Bold letter's like this in ur post unless to highlight words.
2) Have u checked for the wifi issue after updating to JB and before rooting ur phone.
3) since its repeatedly occuring for u (had it on ICS and now on JB- rooted) have u ever thought it might be a hardware related.
4) have u tried a Diff Kernel like PHILZ/DORIMANX/SIYAH to see if the wifi issue resolved

1) Apologies for the bold letters.
2) I was on stock 4.1.2 and to resolve it I rooted it but no sucess, i further went on flashing GB 2.3.6 but still wifi wont turn on. Currently i'm on rooted I9100XWLSK (4.1.2) (Indian version).
3) I can only wish its not a hardware, when this problem occurred in ICS many people told its an hardware issue but it wasn't. After JB update it went on a working state and now after a long time I'm facing this issue.
4) No, please suggest.

I've been trying to do that too but to no avail. The wifi button stays grey for 2-3 seconds and then gets off by itself. Refer Screenshot.
Please help.
Prior to having this wifi issue I was on this same Philz kernel.
I was having an instinct that it wont solve the problem. Can you suggest me to flash some other kernels?

Just a shot in the dark, but you could try latest Apolo 4.7, since it has new WiFi drivers from S4 -- see if that helps...

Please advise.
I have the same problem as khani245 only I had originally NeatRom XWLSS on my phone and worked well no problems until I went o/s for a couple of weeks and I changed sims and I couldn't get wifi so I had a Samsung guy look at it and to fix he put GB 2.36 and it worked sort of but when I got home and changed back to my recent NeatRom I couldn't even get the green ticks in the wifi settings. I have gon back to GB2.3.4 cleared everything installed stock rom and now get the green wifi ticks but wifi is continually searching for any connection but can't even find my modem/router 4` away. There is a problem and it seems to be a software problem.

[Q] GT-P7500 cannot connect to wifi with CM10.1 or other roms

Hi guys,
I flashed CM10.1 and carbon and infamous and on all those 4.2.2 roms i have a problem.
That problem is that none of those roms can connect to my router.
If i reflash the stock rom then it works perfectly.
If i reflash cm10.1 then it does not work anymore but it can connect fine to other routers.
Is this a problem with my router or with cm10.1 ?
i dont think the router is the problem as i completely resetted it each time i reflashed and on stock rom it works perfectly.
Any help is welcome.
Grts Dave
Also i always did factory reset and wipe cache and all.
I just now reinstalled cm10.1 and again no connection to the wifi.
I get full signal and it shows the security and strenght of the signal and all just when i push connect it does not want to do anything.
The router is a wndr3700 with dual ssid 2.4 and 5ghz
Tried now giving the tablet a static ip in the router but also that does not work.
Im getting crazy here cause on stock ics rom all is working
By any chance did you flash another kernel after flashing those ROMs? Because flashing wrong kernel can sometimes lead to those error. I personally experienced it myself.

Nope did not flash any kernel after the rom flashing.
Came always from stock to either cm10.1 or carbon or infamous roms.
Did not flash any other kernel after that.
I tried CM10.1 again now but this time with the A1 kernel 1.9
This combo also does not let me connect to my wifi.
I just cannot figure it out why the stock firmware can connect perfectly but any custom 4.2.2 rom cannot.

[Q] Oneplus One(Chinese) WIFI Issue

You'll want to install the newer CM11s based firmware. Once you do that, you should have wifi working again, and possibly a better cell signal as well.
