titanium is showing zero apps under restore section..(restore all missing user apps 0).all apps were backed up when i was running on cm 10.1

When you first install titanium, scan device for backups
Preferences, backup folder location, scan.
If its in external sd, you must select "whole device"

Restoring from CWM

I tried restoring a backup of a stock ROM, but upon start up, it comes up with the tutorial setup to find it hasn't restored any of my applications, only my system settings. Can someone explain what the hell is happening?
What the hell are you doing.Restore how ???.

By restoring a backup in CWM. It just doesn't seem to restore any applications.
Can't say what your problem is there, but it might be worth investing in titanium backup pro (batch restore saves a lot of time and effort). Hope you get your apps back.

I use Titanium Backup already It's just easier using a nandroid back up for me. Didn't back up in Titanium Backup unfortunately but I managed to retrieve me apps by using App Extractor to extract the applications and contacts from the nandroid backup

Need your advice on backing up apps to use with another rom

Ok, I need your advice on this one cause I am a bit confused...
Ok lets say I am using a certain rom and have installed all the apps that I want. I have done a nandroid backup in case of something goes wrong.
Now, I want to flash another rom but want the apps that I already was using to installed in the new rom also. I know that I can backup with titanium but my concern is that when I will restore them will create duplicate folders or files on sd... is that going to happen or am I talking bull?
Can someone please suggest me a procedure to safely back up apps in order to use with another rom without messing up my sd folders or create duplicate files?
Also when I'll backup my apps do I have to back them up with their data also or not?
My apps are located on sd-ext and phone, none on SD so when I will restore them will they be placed where they were before?
It doesn't create duplicates.
You can use nandroid backup or titanium backup

Back up everything on phone

What's the best way to back up every single thing on the phone (downloaded apps, app settings, Maildroid settings, etc)? (my phone is rooted, if it makes a difference)
Also, after backing up, can I restore the backup on any phone (like a Galaxy S3, or an HTC, etc) or only on another Galaxy S2? And does the phone I restore the backup on also have to be rooted first?
Install a kernel with cwm. Then make a nandroid backup to external sd
For between phones I recommend go backup

If you used a backup app then you have to be rooted yes and yes it can be transferable

To build on this since I saw it mentioned above... DO NOT try to restore a NANDROID backup to a different phone, is:GS3, etc. To be safe ONLY restore A NANDROID BACKUP to the same phone.
But as others said a backup app lime titanium backup will be fine. Just with any "backup app" DO NOT restore SYSTEM DATA OR APPS between phones or roms UNLESS it is the SAME phone and rom. Even then I wouldn't personally restore system apps or system data to rule out issues.

I use Titanium Backup and copy all of the backup files to my PC for safe keeping.
Generally I do a backup of all my apps and then if I need to restore to another device, I root the new device, install Titanium Backup and the app and then use the restore data only option in TB.

[Q]Titanium Backup Question

Hi guys,
I am considering flashing a ROM to my phone (something with I have not yet done) but obviously wouldn't like to lose my apps, SMS, etc.
Is it possible to download titanium backup on the S5830i, flash a new ROM and then restore everything to how it was on the stock ROM?
Many thanks.
Titanium backup is good and it works 2 but it quiet slow processs.... And for me it sks.... I use android commander and install all apps back to mobile via pc and use myphoneexplorer to backup messages and other stuff... U should try it... It wont back app data.. But for me it works take almost 7 minutes for all process

This section is for android development. Don't ask questions here!
U cannot restore stock rom with titanium backup, for that install clockwork recovery mod and backup your current rom(a must step before flashing any custom rom)
U can install titanium backup on your phone, u can backup all your apps using it and then restore those apps once you are on custom rom.
I guess this is the wrong section.

If you use titanium backup to backup your apps...when you flash your new rom, restore using the app+data option and it will re-install the app and restore it the the specific time when you backed it up. Ie: coin dozer lvl 10 (backup)..restore app (lvl 1)..restore app+data (lvl 10)
Or Dark Summoner..you can player migrate to another device / rom..but it takes a week before you can do it again. If you backup DS with titanium..amd restore it when running ypur new rom..you wont have to wait 5 days to transfer: )

First, as someone mentioned, it is in wrong section, please refer to guides. It should be in S5830i General Section.
Now for the TB, you can use titanium backup to backup apps + data ( what u done in the app, like saving levels/stuff in games) and restore them in the new ROM, however you CAN'T backup SMS as far as I know.
If you want a nicer solution you can use CWM and do a NanDroid backup ( a backup of the whole Stock ROM with sms and apps and everything) Incase you fail installing the custom ROM so u can revert back to the one you had before
It is possible to backup sms and call logs. I use "sms backup & restore" and "call logs backup & restore" app in the market. Its free a d backup perfectly. Not a single info missing.
For contacts, I cant find an app that backup perfectly as it is at the first place. I use "backup contacts". But lost contact pictures and contact group.
*if there's someone here know any app that can put contacts back into groups after restore from backup, please tell me. Thanks! ^_^

Why is it for general section? Shouldn't it be on the Q&A section or this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089279 ?

Oh. Sorry, i didn't look at the date.

I want to upgrade to CM 10.1 but..

Hello everyone,I want to upgrade CM 10.1 but is it possible to back up my all apps or everything in phone now. After I jump CM I want to use my phone like previous. As short as I dont want to loose my info.Thanks.
Titanium backup for your apps and data, sms backup for your texts. Sync contacts to google, call log, there's an app for that as well but can't remeber the name.
Stuff on the external sd can be left as it is, make sure you back up any photos etc from your internal sd.
Wipe everything when you're installing cm and everything should be there
