Learn to use the search function please. You can use trackpad to unlock if you run a custom Rom with that mod. E.g. cyanogenmod or wild puzzle.
Installed widget locker on my Buzz and enabled easy wake in its settings (meaning pressing any hardware buttons will wake the phone). Hope this helps.
Hi, I installed trackballunlock.zip from wildpuzzle on my 2.1 stock ROM with OC kernel. For most of the time it works but sometimes you have to use both power and trackball to unlock.
Try Lockbot pro
Try Lockbot pro..it works seemlessly..the screen gets unlocked on any key like volume button, trackball etc...
On the down side of all these apps, the incoming call lock screen too come up with a NO LOCK, with only Answer and Decline buttons which might accidentally make us to answer/decline the calls

[Q] Softkey Function

Hey guys,
I want to change the function of my softkeys next to my physical homebutton. I want to long press the left settings softkey to open recent apps, so i don't have to use my home button. I am on the latest CheckRom JB. I know this feature is possible on CM10. Is it possible on CheckRom?

Anyway to change the action of capacitive buttons? (on non-CM based rom)

I really prefer to use my menu button as recent apps (long press for menu), and just have the 3-button overflow menu in app. At the same time, I'd much rather use a stock Samsung rom. It seems the only way to get this feature is to flash a CM based rom. Is there anyway around this?
Alternatively; is there a way to disable capacitive buttons in a rom completely? (Makes it easier to use PIE)

[Q] Hide the virtual HOME softkey?

Is there a relatively easy way to permanently hide just the HOME virtual softkey on android JB? Or failing that, disable it? I have a GS3 on a MIUI 4.2.2 ROM (I dont want to change ROMs). I am referring to the virtual softkey on the touchscreen, not the capacitive key at the bottom of the phone. The phone already has a hard HOME key so I dont need the virtual one, which duplicates it. I know that "172" controls the hw HOME key, so I tried remming out "102" in every file I could find it in (keypad_8960.kl, Generic.kl, sec_key.kl, sec_touchkey.kl, cyttsp-i2c.kl). It had no effect on anything.

[Q] Disable hardware keys & home button

Hi all.
My Galaxy S2 is working fine (since 3 years now) but my home button works bad (some times yes, some times not). The problem comes from the button, not from my firmware ( i have tested many ROMs).
So, to buypass the problem, i activate the navigation bar to navigate like a Nexus. This mod of navigation is easy and i like it.
My question is : how to desactivate home button and hardware keys (and backlight keys) to just use navigation bar?
Thanks for your responses :good:
For more info, my actual ROM is Slimkat build 6.4 (Android 4.4.4) with sotck kernel
Nobody knows?
Any file system to edit?
