I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G ( CANADIAN VERSION 'MOBILICITY' ) SGH - T959W running Gingerbread 2.3.6 NOT T-Mobile and I tried to change the OS to Jelly Bean
In the process I went back to the eclair stock I believe using odin, where the phone passed and It rebooted but the phone kept getting stuck on the loading battery and the "Samsung Vibrant" load screen. I wasn't able to get any further from that. Now I got instructions to do it all over but I have not installed anything on my SD card because before during the rooting process it didn't tell me to do so until after. Now I can't even get passed the boot screen to do anything with my phone. I looked around to see if I can get my phone back to the way it was and I came up with a solution and used it on odin but now when I boot my phone it says Samsung Galaxy S 4G powered by TMOBILE..I don't want that ! I am still able to get to the Download Screen.
Is there anyway I can get my phone back to the way it was running SGH-T959W (Gingerbread 2.3.6) ? or can someone please help me complete the process of getting my phone into Jelly Bean like I tried to do. SGH-T959V is practically the same as the SGH-T959W it's just the Canadian Version on the network Mobilicity.

Hi, I have bought an Ace ME ROM version for my fiancée that had Eclair installed. I rooted the phone using superoneclick v1.9.1 and everything was working fine. Then my fiancée connected to Kies and tried to upgrade to Froyo however the phone hang and she removed the battery and then the phone was not working anymore. I got the phone to work again by reverting to factory settings from the recovery mode screen, and the phone was upgraded to Froyo. However, the phone lost its root, and I am not able to root it again, once trying SuperOneClick the phone hangs on waiting for device (even though I tried all remedies to this issue that are available online). I tried to install Z4root on the phone to root without connection to PC however the application crashes when I click root or unroot.
By the way, the phone says that it is rooted in the settings/About phone/Kernel version screen.
I would appreciate any help on how to re-root the phone as due to low capacity, app to SD and removing stock apps is necessary.
Thanks in advance for your help.

anyway things have gone a bit wrong, i tried following the beginners guide on the following url:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056334
i downloaded the files that it tells you to, i opened odin and selected the XWKDD file as it says to and it said that the root was sucessful, but my phone didn't fully reboot, it went off and come onwith the samsung galaxy s2 logo and a yellow ! under it, and now it just stays on that and wont do anything else

Try reflashing stock android 4
Sent from my GT-S5660
i have just found the stock fw that orange released will try and flash it with odin now.
I have a VM Samsung Galaxy S3. I attempted to root it, not knowing what the heck I was doing (N00b) and it was stuck on the screen that said there was an error updating and to go to Kies. I used Odin to put a stock model on there but it was Sprint and I don't have data usage.. I found a stock Virgin mobile ROM (or whatever it's called) and tried a few times to use Odin to replace the Sprint one, but it freezes and returns it to the error updating screen. Any help at all, please?
Or does anyone have stock Virgin Mobile firmware that will work?
I really just want my phone back to normal, but would like root access.
Hello everyone
I am very new to this website as I just signed up and registered today. I am currently having a problem with my android phone, and I cant figure out how to resolve it.
The problem that I am having is that last week I was updating my phone when something in the device and caused my phone to become bricked. And after spending many hours on Youtube I finally found a video that helped me recover my phone by flashing the phones memory with clockworks recovery using odin and I was able to get my phone back up and working. But now whenever I turn my phone on I see the yellow triangle appear on bootup and I want to get rid of the triangle.
I downloaded the apk file for triangleaway but in order for me to be able to run it on my phone my phone needs to be rooted, and I have tried many ways to root my phone but it still says that my phone does not have root access.
My phone is a Samgung Galaxy Ace X II
Model Name GT-S7560M
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
