OK but isn't some things disabled in custom roms ? I have stock and I dunno really what rooting does and how to do it, I've been thinking about it a lot but I can't make my decision if I should root or not, but I really want YouTube to work....

Youtube Black Screen Problem
Hi all,
Quick spec:
Make: HTC Wildfire (Rooted)
Android Version: 2.2.1
Kernal Version: [email protected] #1
Mod Version: CyanogenMod-6.1.0-buzz
Build Number: FRG83
I have a problem concerning the playback of Youtube Video on my device. The Application loads fine, shows the previews of videos but when you actually play a video you can hear it perfectly but the screen is pure BLACK apart from the Pause/Play & time bar etc is shown.
If there is any work around for this or if anyone knows a way to fix the problem i would be greatfull.
(or should i go to the Dev site and inform about this glitch?)
Thanks in advance,
Igotzbeef

got the same problem
Im thinking it's youtube's fault, not ours...Before rooting I already had that problem, after rooting and installing WPR along with an upgraded YT app,it still the same problem. However you can try to turn off HQ before the video loads, some videos can be played in no-hq.

Thanks for your input. I tried the Non-HQ method and only select videos can be shown. The others just present a black screen but you hear the audio.
I'm using the official Youtube Application downloaded from the market. I'm guessing it might be something to do with the CM ROM maybe . . ??
I'll keep an eye on this thread or if others can point to another thread with answers, I as well as others it would seem, be very great full.
Thanks in advance,

What version of CyanogenMod are you running? As mentioned in my post you can see what version I am running. Black screen with Audio isn't really that exciting
Omg , i searched the whole internet for a simple fix for this problem, but guess what... there is no solution. I hear a lot of people complaining about this ... but that's all . No solutions.
Problem is that useing Flash , i can play videos. But useing youtube app , well .. it fails. [ tip: Open the youtube page in full desktop version , and click on a video , it will ask you if you want to use Flash or Youtube. ]
So Xda, is there any solution? C'mon , you make Costum Roms , software and other complicated stuff , and still , you can't help us with a little fix?
This is so stupid. Me and my cousin bought the same phone , from Vod. and i have the youtube problem , and he doesn't . I can't see new videos, only old ones. And we didn't instal any aplications. The phones are pure stock.
More then 1 Year , and still there is no fix for it. :|

Root and flash a new rom on your device.

Does anyone have a link to all of the hot HTC wallpapers that were out there for the HD2? I lost all but two and would like to have them back.
Thanks!
There you go.
Not exactly what I was looking for but some of these will do nicely... Thanks!
There are actually quite a lot of WVGA wallpapers available here at xda... they don´t have to be made for HD2 only.
However, the question may remain what you mean with "hot"...
Use the Search button:]
is there rom wallpapers with spicial hTC signe
thank u very much
Sorry, I can´t resist... click!

at least you post your questions in the right section
i don't think this to be possible since our CPU isn't so powerfull
and HD encoding requires lots of resources (CPU+RAM)

1. Vibration is always on when i have incoming call, how to stop vibration?

Thanx in advance and i am happy to be here.

I have liked it, Its much smoother and faster to use. Although you should consider the experience of others too. There is a thread in this HTC Desire X Forum which lists the pros and cons of JB.

Thanx mate, about the second question i had - how can i make the call screen to be Red and Green phones and not to slide them but only to touch them and to answer?
And is there any chance to remove that lockscreen with the circle?

that was not due to a limitation of hardware..it's just Google released it not having the media profile for 720p..
