Hello Everyone!!
After almost chilling out for a year on XDA, this is my first contribution
I've tried out many ROMS for our beloved devices, but couldn't stay on a single ROM for more than 3-4 days....
Then I thought, why shouldn't I make my own ROM according to my taste and have full liberty of customizing it....
SO after a week or two of reading through guides and checking videos, here it is!! My first ROM based on Gingerbread
(imo our devices were meant to run on GB :angel: )
I've been using this Rom for over a month now without any problems, so i decided to share it with the community...hope you like it!!
And guys, please dont hesitate to tell me if you want anything new or want a new feature or want it removed...we're always here to help you....thanks....you guys mean a lot to me

i'd recommend you not to use the fb app cause its buggy (check reviews on play store), you can make a bookmark for fb in your browser and use it from there and if you want instant messages, use the fb messenger app

For everyone who is confused,
CM : Cyanogenmod is an android open source project built completely from scratch using Google's sources. It is built for performance and extra features.
Retribution : It is a rom built from the stock Samsung rom. It contains a modified stock kernel which enables superuser access and init.d scripts. It is still in alpha as we want you to test it and report the bugs. Once the bugs are solved, we will start adding additional features like 14 toggles mod, lockscreen mods, user scripts etc and will also theme it. The main advantage of a modified stock rom is its stability and battery life. But since we mod it, we also add performance boost to it..
Hope this clears a few things!!

It's fantastic, thanks man.
Can't wait with the 14-toggle ;p
i have flashed beta No:2 from the link you posted.. but the build number showed Retribution Beta 1 and there's no 14 toggle, something gone wrong?
first encounter with beta2:
- zattoo crash at start, even making system app.
- in task manager if I close holo launcher, contacts app appears magically and I can't close it, just appears intermittently :S
- Ram comsumption maybe is much? with stock rom and adrenaline engine I had like >80mb, with retribution b2 I have >120mb using.
- % batery could be usefull.
- bootanimation is nice like this, I don't like these animations that only make more slow startup, I prefer simple and fast, without paraphernalias :laugh:
in general is just awesome, keep the good work :victory:

I can't build a flashable kernel with cwm touch.
It's a common issue not related to the rom that fastboot disconnects after few seconds. Try to flash cm9 by fxp and see if you solve something :fingers-crossed:

Try to start flashing an ftf with flashtool AS SOON AS you plug it to the usb, maybe it will stay in flash mode
Not working with flashtool..i guess i will give a try on ubuntu and see if that fixes things..but i was happy with the rom initially but as soon as contacts started force closing i thought ishuld go back to stock but alas m stuck here on cm9 or ur ligux rom wih the same source code..seems it woud kill a lot of time before i finaaly fix this..still continue the development,its a nice rom,people will like it..
---------- Post added at 03:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:28 PM ----------
flashed the miui rom and though fastboot and fastboot is still not working but i guess that stock ics cwm backup i made should work fine now as it has already started the restoration in cwm..
Any way to fix microphone?

I have to say it's amazing. It's fast & is great on battery. 140mb free RAM while using whatsapp. Experienced 2 freezes when I had limited the background processes to 2, now none under standard limits.
I really advise any1 who wants a fast rom with no lag what so ever to flash this.

Battery & RAM Tweaking Guide
**Performance Tweaks**
-> DISABLE AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS
-> ENABLE AUTOMATIC BACKLIGHT FILTERING
-> WIPE CACHE
-> WIPE DALVIK CACHE
-> ENABLE ZRAM (18%)
-> ENABLE PURGING OF ASSETS
-> REBOOT
Also, after installing all the apps via ZIPs
-> FIX PERMISSIONS via CWM
-> REBOOT
Fixing permissions will make sure there isn't any unwanted FCing.
Charge your Battery to a 100%:
-> WIPE BATTERY STATS
-> REMOVE Charger
-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE
This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually is 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.
MORE:
- Go to SETTINGS>DEVELOPER OPTIONS
- Force 2D GPU rendering
**RAM Cleaning**
- Do not use task killers
- Freeze/Move to Quarantine those APPS which you DO NOT USE regularly and you don't want them TO RUN IN THE BACKGROUND
APP QUARANTINE on Play Store
Go ahead, try it. Move all unwanted apps to quarantine now!
**DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER**
Your phone sips the least amount of power when it is in DEEP SLEEP STATE. There is a new app in the marketplace which can FORCE DEEP SLEEP STATE on your phone. This is especially useful if you want the phone to conserve battery for hours and then wake up for a minute and sync all new alerts in one go. This can help prolong your usage on a single charge.
DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER on Play Store
This app is under development and can be found on XDA developers forums itself. Here's the link to the thread:
[APP] [2.1+] Deep Sleep Battery Saver
**BATTERY CALIBRATION**
FOR THOSE WITH BATTERY PROBLEMS:
1.After flashing your phone with a new ROM, install this software:
BATTERY CALIBRATOR on Play Store - 47 KB size
2.Then, charge your phone to 100%.
3. IMPORTANT. Remove CHARGER first.
4. IMMEDIATELY hit "Battery Calibration" (1 or 2 seconds delay is fine, wait for BATTERY voltage to drop and be stable)
5. Use your phone normally (don't charge in between) till it hits 1%.
6. Then charge your phone UNINTERRUPTED (leave it for charging all night) till 100%.
7. Unplug and start using. You should be having as little as 2-3% battery drain for 6-8 hours of IDLING now. That's the optimization of a calibrated battery.

Sorry for asking, but is it safe to flash it if I'm aldeady on certain fxp? (Can't remember if I'm on 203 or 204)
Just follow instructions for AFTER the flashing Stock ROM. But Stock ROM method is best and it takes 5 mins extra at the most.
Got it. Can't wait for the link to be up.
Makes me wonder one more thing. Is the illumination bar fix included (since this rom comes from sola)?

Hallo, here is Unoficial MIUI for Sony Xperia Sola bassed on CM9 FXP project, compiled by latest patchrom tool. Some things is mising but rom is for daily usage without problem!
Note about mltilanguage:
Do not use aplikations or multilanguage from other rom because it cause force closes because this rom is true bassed on CM9 and contain public.xml things from CM9 rom! Translations is included only in some aplications (but not all) and all translations in framework-res.apk that was CM9 bassed! If you want to help me or you want to get translations for your language than you must help me! First of all, tranlations can not be copy-paste because one strange thing inside xml cause force closes in UI, so translations must be very carefully added to this MIUI build! if you want to help me please read this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37498010&postcount=156 .If you translate them please let me know and I will add your translation into this MIUI rom! Curentlly full translations for frameworks only is deutch, rusian, serbian, czechoslovakia (all other is not complete and need full translations). If yopu want your language support than please translate! About aplications: I have plan (not now) to import and modify multilang apks by using from another MIUI roms (will made tool for that - to automatize that), have no time now because going to fix all remaining bugs, when all remaining bugs go fixed than I will play with translations for apks... etc.
Curently fixed things:
- mounts menu and internal mounts
- phone storage is not detected by PC
- external sdcard and everything related to external sdcard
- camera recording, camera photo, camera panorama
- rotation
- lights
- videos frezing
- file manager
- some crashes inside other menus
- youtube HQ videos
- wifi
- mobile data
- galery - crashing
- android aplications menu - crashing
- Smart Dialer
- cal log
- Xperia keyboard
- autostart manager
- personal dictionary
- usb tethering
- wifi tethering
- a2dp
- wrong rotation in games
- If I forgot something please let me know.
Missing things:
- NFC not working propertly
- If I forgot something please let me know.
Not working:
- FM radio audio routing
- let me know?
Download link:
- http://d-h.st/7S4
Plan:
- I use this rom daily, MIUI is my favorite rom and my plan is fixining all remaining bugs. If some one is interesting to get this rom full fixed please test it, try to fix something, give your opinions, give your fixes, let me know list of missing things...etc ..etc
My MIUI source code:
- http://github.com/munjeni/miui_sony_xperia
If you want to help you can use my source code and upload to your git, than start patching, but you must open too these source code public and you must give full credits to my hard work in your post if you working on these source! Do not forget, I opened source code public and sharing it with you because its my good will !!! So I expecting from you too to open source code if you using my source code as a base! Thanks!
I am surre you will love this rom after first usage!

Got a few tips for yal so that this rom works even more smoother and battery life improves...
Settings:-
1) Network Settings:-
a]Mobile Network > Network Type Selection> Select 2G (saves battery)
2) Personal Settings:-
a] Personal > Display > Brightness > Auto Brightness (Until ALS issues fully fixed in manual brightness )
b] Personal > Display > Launcher > Icon Shadow Off ( increases battery and performance )
c] Personal > Display > Sleep > 30sec is more than enough ( increases battery )
d] Personal > Location Services > Off ( Turn on from toggle when needed... increases battery )
e] Personal > Accounts & sync > Off ( Switch on when needed... increases battery )
3) System Settings To Improve Performance: -
a] Developers Options > User Interface > Force GPU Rendering > ON (increases performance )
b] Developers Options > User Interface > Windows Sale Animations > 0.5x ( reduces lags if present )
c] Developers Options > Apps > Background Process Limit > 3 ( Can use your own number... Gives you more ram other words releases ram)
4) Governor Setting:- ( On My Wishlist To Be Integrated In Rom)
Since it ain't I'll insist yal to download No Frills CPU Control and set as:-
Max frequency 800mhz
Min frequency 200mhz
Governor- Smartassv2
ISO scheduler - sio
Apply on boot - [√]
6) App Control :-
Enable or Disable All Apps Background Or AutoStart Feature > Disable as per your requirements
I have kept only Whatsapp & No frills CPU control Enabled rest all Disabled ...
These above settings will help you increase performance & battery life!!
Cheers yal!!

Its overclocked buddy.....
can anybody please confirm MIUI backups works in this rom?! how about themes?
