Audio Levels for music and videos are fairly low on this rom for some reason.
I haven't been able to successfully flash Awesome Beats v5 Premium or Aroma installer.
Any recommendations on getting better audio on this CM 10.1 rom? I'm also using CRpalmers kernel.

i have DSP Manager bundled with Omega Black/Blue ICS...
Beats audio is only well integrated with HTC phones.
Even in the resurrection rom it doesnt really enhance quality.
Its just placebo effect. The max that you can do is get dsp manager thats all!

That's not true!
The Galaxy S2 has, in fact, terrible audio quality. This is due to poor quality hardware components (namely the Yamaha DAC).
There are two things you can do.
You can follow the advice of Kaffee4Eck and use voodoo louder, what won't help THAT much. Or you can get an external DAC (like the FiiO E7). This will give you superb sound quality, that no iPhone or HTC will get close to. However, you'll have to stick with CyanogenMod for it to work, it's less portable, because you'll have an additional device in your pocket and I'm not sure if you'll be pleased with it. I'm not sure because:
a) you've got beats and
b) you say that the problem is that they aren't "booming" like on you HTC.
I don't know you, so I can't tell, but too me it looks like you don't like sound quality, but pure bass. I cannot tell if the FiiO is good for that kind of job.
Thanks for advice Sniper i dont fancy paying £60 for additional device was hoping that there would have been a software mod worth trying

As mentioned earlier, voodoo louder. You just need the app on a compatible kernel.
The most importent thing - speakers. I love the original Samsung headphones!

Just gotta ask:
Have you ever used "real" headphones?
My phone good audio quality stock rom and any other rom .
Samsung stock phones .
Sound level on stock over 50% is to high .
Slight addition to a better quality is Volume Plus free old version app and a pair of
ViSang R02 in ear buds .
jje
Try them until you find one that works and meets your audio needs

DPS is much quieter in my opinion. Xloud is better
We already have Xloud, at least through Pimp My Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908269
I've tried both Xloud and Bravia on FXP 147 and they work without a hitch.

Anyone have tried the xloud via pimpmyrom on the current FXP152 CM10?

You can just hardly notice the difference in sound... And there is no option to turn it ON/OFF... Once you flash the zip... It becomes permanent with ROM
Pardon? I was using xloud on stock rom and when it's enabled, both speakers gain significant increase in sound and that's only a step up. Disabling it significantly reduces the volume. If this is another rip-off xloud then maybe it really won't work. It's obviously noticeable that in CM10, without xloud the speakers are quiet enough on one step in volume; well in any case we've got different phones mine is LWW.

You know there is a drastic difference in stock ROM and FXP CM10... My answer was in context with FXP CM10...
I know xloud provides great sound experience on stock ROM....
But on CM through pimp my ROM, one can hardly notice any difference
Hi all,
Can you please place your rom suggessions about player 5.0(YP-G70)... Which rom you prefer and why?
Eryigit GB-ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465144
Chip v1.5 GB-ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737432
I used both of them, both are great, stable and fast.
If you want the ICS look and feel, use Chip ROM.
PARANOIDANDROID JB-ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083052
This is also a great ROM, it has a Hybrid Engine that allows you to switch to Tablet mode or Phablet mode.
But the camera, bluetooth, and headset still don't work. besides that everything's good.
There is also a huge noticeable improvement in performance.
Hope This Helps!
i'm currently using eryigit rom, but it's beeing laggy. Free ram is around 60mb and this causes problems while usng programmes.
i'm planning to try chip rom...
by the way, camera and bluetooth is important. so it seems i can't use cm9 based roms.
any other suggessions?

Actually, Supermaster has made a patch for Bluetooth in cm9 and you can still take pictures in cm10. The preview is just a little weird but the picture comes out fine

Im just trying to see if anybody had any suggestions on what app i can use to increase my volume a little bit. Im using CM10.2 i knw im not gonna get it like touchwiz had it cus i knw its lower running aosp. I purchased Volume+ a long time ago and used it with every phone i would run cm, however, it doesnt seem to be working anymore like it used. If i try to mess with the eq it would make it worse. Thank
I always have volume issues on cm roms. Video audio is the worst. My fix was to use a tw rom. There are flashable volume booster mods you can use.. Not sure if they work on cm or not.
Hyperdrive tw rom has 3 different audio options in aroma. Normal, slight, and extreme volume boost. There is also Viper 4 audio that has awesome audio settings for media playback.

I use V4A and it boosts the volume significantly. Follow the instructions in this thread and you can experience the full potential of the G4's audio.

Hey i tried this:
works with stock marshmallow - sony's MUSIC, headphones, speaker allso, but not with lets say say... tune in radio (maybe other apps not allso).
i still prefer Cyanogenmod's AUDIO FX, so i am again on cm 12.1
but give it a try:

Thanks for all the replies guys. I've tried all of them, but in the end, i settled for a mod that Really increased the sound from my headphones and retained stock quality on @sublinker 's thread. The speaker sound is still low for tones but surprisingly my alarm tone is very loud
